How to unlock the Brave Pilot achievement in R-Type Dimensions - Definitive Guide

This one should not be that hard too get.

Make sure to dodge bullets and enemies instead of shooting them.

That way you'll survive more often.

Try to mash the fire button the faster you can for the boss.

Playing in Classic mode is a bit tougher than Infinite- If you die during Classic mode you will be sent back to either the beginning of the stage or if you reached it- the checkpoint (which is usually shortly before a boss). You will also lose all of your weapons, Force, and any speed upgrades you acquired.

Stage 1 is obviously the easiest but it will take some practice and memorization of the enemy patterns. Just make sure to grab a Force to help shield against bullets and power it up fully. Using the blue lasers that bounce off the walls is the most effective weapon during this stage which will help clear a lot of the turrets that are on the top and bottom of the level.

It's worth noting that the end boss on level one can be killed with a single charged shot - which is the super shot you get if you hold the shoot button for a few seconds, then release.

Simple enough. Start a single player game on Classic rather than Infinite and finish the first stage to unlock this trophy. Tip: Use or for rapid fire rather than using to shoot.

In classic mode you will have a set number of lives (usually you start with 3) in order to complete a stage. If you die, you are taken back to the nearest checkpoint, these are usually quite a distance from each other and classic mode is incredibly difficult. This achievement only requires you to complete the first stage.

Move up/down/left/right using , and fire with . You can also hold down to charge a shot and release it, this will dispatch more powerful foes a lot more easily than regular shots.

This isn't too difficult, but you might want to practice dodging bullets and letting off charged shots to dispatch groups of enemies in 'infinite mode' instead, so I'd advise going for the "Earth Savior" and "Scarred Hero" achievements first if you have never played R-Type before.
