if you can't get this playing in classic mode, which i have to admit i couldn't...

play in infinite mode and try to put up with the repetitive grind of losing ship after ship as you wade through the levels.

eventually, you will complete the game and get the achievement...
whether or not you'll bother watching the screen while it happens is up to you.

infinite mode has ruined this and it's counterpart achievement.

Can be done either on Classic or Infinite mode.

If you wanna be really lazy you can set it to Infinite Mode and literally do nothing as the game will basically play itself.

The easiest way to do this is to start the game using infinite mode. In this mode you will have infinite lives so it doesn't matter if you die you will continue from where you died. Complete all the stages of R-Type to unlock this trophy.

Simply complete the original R-Type, you don't have to kill all of the bosses you just need to finish each of the games 8 stages. To make this a lot easier you can play the game on 'infinite mode'. You can select 'infinite mode' when you start a new game, you will have infinite lives and respawn at the spot you died making it a lot quicker and easier.
