Set up any race and set the option for Qualifying to Yes, Now once Qualifying begins set a time and the achievement will be yours.

What race mode do you need to do this in as have completed qualifying in carrer mode and championship and not got this achievement yet.

I think it has to be done in just a regular race, i cant remeber exactly what type as i havnt played this in 5 months and i have terrible memory, but i know it cant be done in career and championship mode

Select Single Race from the Main Menu right at the top, choose any car and track of your choice. Now when you reach the Race Settings, go down to Qualification and set it to Yes, continue on to the race and finish the a lap.

Go to 'Single Race' and choose the track and car of your choice. When you get to 'Race Settings', scroll down to 'Qualification'. Set this to 'Yes' and then continue to the race. Now, simply complete the qualifying session.
