How to unlock the Cirrus achievement in Race The Sun - Definitive Guide

I reccomend holding off on this acheivement until you hit at least level 19, so that you can hold 3 jumps max. I had an emergency portal, and hit a pillar that was near a cloud, then used all three jumps to hit the cloud. If multiple clouds are around you may be able to hit multiple clouds before you start falling.

Here I got a video for this trophy
You can use a second jump after you flew high enough in a boost before a cloud..
Or you can do as i did in the video.. get some damage near a cloud and get the trophy that way.. hope this helps.. good luck..

You're going to want the double jump attachment on your ship before trying this. It makes things much easier for you, because you don't need to look for a cloud after a ramp or you don't need to inflict damage on yourself to launch the ship into the air.

First, find two jump pickups and get them. Don't use either of them until you see a cloud. The clouds should start popping up after the first or second region. Once you're pretty close to under the cloud, use both of the jumps and you should go inside of the cloud and get your trophy.

This is a simple trophy, you just need to get enough altitude to reach a cloud. There are a variety of ways in which to do this:

  • Fly off a ramp and then use a jump boost
  • Occasionally, if you graze one of the small brown spheres in just the right way it will send your ship flying into the sky, this is a great opportunity to try and touch a cloud.
  • Once you reach Level 19 you will have unlocked the Max Jump Storage (Attachment). This will allow you to hold up to three jump pickups at once. Once you have three jump pickups, wait until you're nearing a cloud and then activate each jump pickup a few seconds after each other. This will give you plenty of altitude to touch a cloud.

When making a turn, if the wing touches a small obstacle (a ball or a springboard), it will throw you quite a bit up to the cloud. I received it.

in fact, you don’t just need to jump high, but you need to land on the cloud. They are not always there.

So you need to jump when it’s cloudy (white clouds are clearly visible from above)

Take the purple shield. In a region where there are clouds (I think the third one) crash into any obstacle. The shield teleports you high into the sky. All you have to do is touch the cloud.
