Maybe these autopilot options are only in the series versions, not xbox one?

too bad it only works on easy difficulty

Pause the game in the middle of a race. Smart Steering and Auto-accelerate should show up in the center. You have to press Y and X respectively to enable them. I never found them in the main game options.

That would be great indeed. Unfortunately, it would appear that I have the version without those particular settings. In my version, there are settings for voice, sfx, as well as controls layout. But no simplifying options.
