Race with Ryan

Worked perfectly. Didn’t even need a full run of the Royal Cup to get it. 3 hours popped after finished Race 4 of 6. I wonder if time paused counts, because I was playing in x cloud and lost connection a few times. The stream stayed up despite the app failing, so maybe that added up for me.

If you have 4 controllers and put auto accelerate on this game is so easy.

This took me over 5 hours to unlock, how is the completion time 3-4 hours?

I have this and the split-screen win left, can I idle it for an hour and then finish the race?

Well I was on the track for the vast majority of those 5+ hours. Doesn't seem to track very well.

I don't know if there's any in-game stats regarding your race time; tracking could be off depending on how it was programmed. Personally, I completed all cups tied to achievements and then idled close to an hour in splitscreen so I can't really comment on the accuracy of the tracking

Also, in relation to my comment about doing both, I didn't know there were AI racers, and you have to win for the other achievement anyway. I hit restart and idled it, popping this achievement upon crossing the finish line

To add to the comments about people not unlocking when they think they should have, I had done almost everything through the cloud and only downloaded and played locally for the split screen achievement. Then when I checked my progress after completing another cup I realised my data for time played hadn't updated.
It might be nothing but I would suggest you play those 3 hours with the same configuration (either cloud or local) and that if you're playing mostly on cloud, keep the split screen for last as the transition might mess with how the game keeps track of your time played.

So I got the 2 hour achievement, and I played around 20 minutes to complete all but the 3 hour. I started a race left the game idle. After an hour I though I had the ahcievement, but not, so I finished the race and immidiately unlocked!

@EarthboundX the time based achievements are for time on track, not game time total, and I would say you can probably complete the sheet with less than an hour of menuing

I think the achievement description may be slightly misleading. When it says any mode, that could mean collectively 3 hours of play time in any mode, or 3 hours in any ONE mode. And I'm pretty sure it's the latter. I unlocked the 2 hour achievement in career mode, then sat for an hour in single race or fast race mode or whatever it is when you want to just do 1 race, and didn't get it. Sat for another hour in career mode and got it. So that may be the issue people are encountering with tracking. It may be tracking fine but you just have to get all 3 hours in the same mode.
