How to unlock the Hardest Deck achievement in RAGE - Definitive Guide

This is a very easy achievement if you have the right cards (refer to this to obtain them
RAGEGotta Have 'Em AllThe Gotta Have 'Em All achievement in RAGE worth 75 pointsCollect all Playing Cards on one play-through
).

The key to winning is in preparation, first by getting the right cards and second by building an appropriate deck. Now you have about 250 points to work with meaning you're going to have to put up a lot of cards, but just because you have this leeway doesn't mean you should just put your toughest cards in your hand for there are many factors to consider.

DECK BUILDING
1st you want to look at is cards that boost certain other cards (ex: jk stiles +2 damage to all mutant cards) you're going to want to have at least one of these coupled with the strongest cards it buffs, for this challenge you can't afford to have weaklings (ex: don't put in a dagger thrower for this).

2nd look at whether or not a card is ranged, you are going to want to have as many ranged cards as possible because they can attack any card on the field and therefore you can triple team certain cards. The only downside to this is that you can counter act this by playing a vehicle (all ranged have to attack vehicles), but Teague will almost certainly play only play one vehicle (12hp dropship) but if you build your deck right it won't last more than a round or two.

3rd since you have so much leeway put multiple groups of cards in your deck so you're more likely to have a buffer and one of it's correspondents on the field (ex I had mutants, authority, and settlers).

THE BATTLE
Luck does play a pretty decent role in the game (more so in early games), but for the final challenge it's going to ultimately depend on the card's you have accumulated and how well you built your deck. Teague is more than likely going to use Authority and Mutant cards, but she also has a lot of grenades, mines, vehicles, and healers so they're not too much of a challenge. If you have gotten all the cards up to the point you reach the bar you won't have all of them but you'll have more than enough to beat her, just put together a deck comprised of three card groups with only their toughest ranged characters/buffers and no vehicles, healers, or explosives and you should be fine.

If all that isn't enough just put in the deck I used and use common sense to win the game.
MY DECK
MUTANTS: J.K. Stiles, Large Mutant, Kraken, Giant Mutant

AUTHORITY: Power Supply, Enforcer, Shielded Enforcer, Authority Mutant

SETTLERS: Captain Marshall, Valder, Lousy Hagar

Shrouded Mini Gun to fill up the last spot

hope this helps

PLEASE NOTE: The man in the wellspring bar is NOT teague. I beat him 2 or three times before I realized why the cheev wasn't popping. Just throwing this out there in case anyone else is about to make the same mistake I just did.

It wasn't working for me due to the order the cards were drawn, so I swapped power supply, valder and loosum Hagar for HE grenades, drop ship and Elizabeth then it worked perfectly.

I didn't have Lousy Hagar or the Shielded Enforcer, so I lost my first game. I then rebuilt the deck following this guide, but replaced all the Authority cards with more Settler and Mutant cards (especially stat-boosting cards) and won easy.

I did this after completing the "Gotta have em all" achievment,

Teague can be found in the bar in subway town in the corner,

I used a guide on youtube. (Ive posted the link below)

The cards they use are as follows.

Shrouded Minigun
Gearhead Boss
Monarch
Gearhead Jet
Gearhead Shotgun
Giant Mutant
Large Mutant
Sally
RC Bomb Car
JK Stiles
Kraken
HE Grenades

I did this on my first attempt using these cards.

I have never ever ever EVER played a game of this style... e.g. magic, etc... Your deck helped someone who was trying to read and follow along and had ZERO clue what they were doing, win on the first try. AWESOME. THANK YOU!

Desperado's solutions and deck got me the cheeve on my first try! I tweaked it a bit and used it to farm some cash, and obviously it's also good for the achievement. (Easy to have a beverage in one hand while playing cards) Teague's cards seem to ALWAYS hit for full attack value while mine NEVER hit for full value (robblerobble) But, I still win at least 2 out of every 3 matches, usually closer to 3 out of 4, using the following:

Power Supply, Enforcer, Shield Guard, Authority Mutant, elite Guard
Crazy Joe
Shrouded minigun
JK Stiles, Giant Mutant, Large Mutant, Kraken, Slime Mutant

If you're just like me and missed some of the cards on the way to beat Teague's hardest deck then you can use this deck to still get the achievement. By using this deck I beat her first try

The deck I used contained these cards:

Gearhead Shotgun
Advanced Sentry Bot
Authority Mutant
Elizabeth
Shield Guard
Captain Marshall
Portman
Kraken
Slime Mutant
Shrouded Heavy
Sally
J.K. Stiles

All of these cards are easily found since there all on the beaten path. Make sure you finished the Abandoned Distillery and the Gearhead Vault quests because you'll found three of them in these places(Portman > AD / Gearhead Shotgun & Adv. Sentry Bot > Gearhead Vault)

If you have anything that can make this solution better or more clear feel free to leave a comment and also if you vote negative please let me know why so I can change my solution

Ok so after extensive trail and error deck tries. I've found a decent deck that works especially if your like me and missed a lot of cards. so here's the deck i used
Enforcer
Shrouded Mini-gun
Scoop Mutant
Authority Mutant
Slime Mutant
Drone
Shield Guard
Sally
Shrouded Heavy
RC Bomb Car
JK Stiles
Ghost Boss

It took me a couple of tries but i finally had the powerhouse set-up where most of my tougher ranged guys came out she couldn't keep more than 2 cards on the field. so there's my solution. i hope it helps

This achievement is won when you get to the next major town in the game 'Subway Town'. When you reach here you will find Teague in the subway bar on the ground level. In order to win this achievement you must beat her on the 'hard' difficulty (after starting the mini game you receive the choice of easy, medium or hard). You will Know you are on the correct difficulty because you will get 250 points to create your deck. I waited until I had completed the achievement to collect all the cards (just before the mission to Authority Prime) but for this solution you will require at least the cards mentioned below:

After taking to Google to find the solution to this I checked this Xbox sister site to this. Full credit for this solution needs to go to 'Witcher Bobmour' via the TrueAchievements website. I'm sure there is a tactic to this but basically, just use this deck and it appears to work every time!!

Select the following cards:

MUTANTS: J.K. Stiles, Large Mutant, Kraken, Giant Mutant

AUTHORITY: Power Supply, Enforcer, Shield Guard, Authority Mutant

SETTLERS: Captain Marshall, Valder, Loosum Hagar

SHROUDED CLAN: Shrouded Mini Gun

The game has an element of luck so if at first you don't succeed try again, but it popped first attempt for me!

This is like a futuristic version of Magic the Gathering, called Rage Frenzy, so if you've ever played MTG you're in for a simple task here. To unlock this achievement you must first create a decent deck for yourself, and then challenge Teague (located in Fez Bar in Subway Town) for a match on the hardest difficulty (not necessarily your in-game difficulty, just this mini-game). You will get all the rules when you play the game for the first time, so I'll not waste space on that here, and rather give you some tips on what to do before you start playing against Teague:

  • Include at least 1 vehicle in your deck to distract the opponent's ranged cards.
  • The Giant Mutant is an expensive card, but he's well worth the cost.
  • Since you can only have 4 cards in play at once it's generally better to have a deck comprised of fewer, more expensive cards.
  • Maximize the value of booster cards by building a deck of cards from the same faction, such as mutants with JK Stiles.
  • Be sure to find all cards in the Well and Authority Prison before you leave because you can't go back.

This game is called RAGE Frenzy, you will want to select the hardest difficulty when starting a game with her. Your best bet at getting this trophy is to try it when you have lots of cards so you can construct a very good deck. It's a simple game and I found it easy to learn and plat. Teague can be found in Fez Bar in Subway town select the 'hard' option when talking to her. Heres the deck GoombaSquisher used and its very helpful, you should beat her first time using this method:

I recommend having this deck (I won 5 times in a row but it requires cards that you get late in the game):
1. Giant Mutant
2. Large Mutant
3. Slime Mutant
4. Kraken
----
5. Drop Ship
6. Enforcer
7. Shield Guard
----
8. Shrouded Minigun
----
9. Gearhead Jet
----
10. Captain Marshall
11. Valder

The game relies a bit on the luck of the draw. You know you're in good standing if you have many high damage ranged cards drawn and you're taking out her cards as she draws them (if you kill'em quick, they won't get a chance to damage your cards). Also, remember that cards with the "dashed arrow" damage symbol are "ranged" cards and can attack any target (except when there's a vehicle), so use that to your advantage by killing cards that can attack and cards that are weak first.
