How in the hell do you get past the cars trying to get to the third one? They keep either ramming me right off, which blows the quad up, getting right behind me and ramming me off, which blows it up after a while, or just getting right behind me and shooting the quad, until it blows up of course.

It should be noted that this is "per game" so you can't get one or two, load a save, get the other(s).

No, that wasn't the problem and is incredibly obvious if it was.

The problem, that absolutely no one seems to have made clear, is that you need to have cleared out the Shroud base before you try and I hadn't.

My only comment on this one is make sure you are approaching Goalpost #3 in the video from the far right and have the boost be at its most powerful (2nd stage). I went through the posts at all different angles and this didn't pop until I did it this way.

Great guide. And for anyone wondering, yes you can do it at any point in the game. Once you no longer need to return to the Hagar settlement, the Jetter will be in your garage and you can return to Disc 1 at any point and obtain it before entering Capital Prime.

Had trouble getting the last field goal to register, so I started approaching it from different angles and finally it registered when I approached it from the left.

Can you do this once you advance to Subway town and the second Wasteland? Don't want to have to make a new save file.

Something that may or not prove useful ... I waited until pretty late in disc 1 to go for this achievement, and so Sally's bounty was up to 6 cars when I left Haggar territory for the 2nd goalpost. The enemy cars stopped short of coming up to the building by the goalpost, although they occasionally took pot shots at me. I decided to see if I could kill one using the HE rockets at it sat there. It took 4 or so rockets, which was pretty disappointing, but then the numbers of cars kept decreasing. Apparently they all crowded together and began blowing each other up. I ended up with only one car to deal with. It wouldn't sit still so I had to use a Viper homing rocket on it, but that cleared out the last of them.

For those of you who can't watch movies at work, just to be clear, you have to drive the Jammer, *edit* sorry the Jetter, the original vehicle Dan Hagar gives you, ram it into a wall and launch yourself through 3 sets of goal posts just off the drivable areas. All are on disk 1.
You won't die, even if you miss, but I do recommend saving at the site of the posts before you try because you'll eventually blow up the ATV if you keep missing.
You also don't want to fling yourself too high, it seems that you have to be between the uprights, and it won't count even if your aim is good if you've gone too fast and flung yourself over the whole thing.
Locations: Just look for the football goal posts just off the map
1. Near the Wasted Garage and your Ark Emergence site
2. Down the long highway by the Mutant Bash TV show, all the way at the end is a building you can't enter, but looks vaguely like it belongs to the authority. the goalpost is to the left of it.
3. In the open space after the Northern Watch Tower, to the right side. This one has a lot of space to launch yourself, but remember it won't count if you are too high. Try to just barely clear the uprights.

Oops, thanks for pointing that out. This achievement originally confused me because I was wondering when I was going to get the ATV, but it was just named something else.

I just wanted to say "thank you" for pointing out that you can't launch yourself too high. I was about ten minutes into trying at the Northern Watch Tower before I read your solution and then got the achievement immediately after.

Best Buddies show you how to get the (It's Good) Achievement in RAGE. IT'S GOOOOOOOOOD!!! Also there is a lot of driving you need to do. So be prepared for some good long driving with the 4-wheeler.

Thx. I prefer this video because you can see all the trips to be done from Wastland/Wellspring.
PS Remember that it must be done in the same game avoiding that the Jetter explodes!

There are three well-hidden goal posts in the Wasteland, and to unlock this achievement you have to locate them and score a field goal in all of them. To score, use the ATV and drive towards each goal post at top speed. Crash into the barrier in front of each field goal to launch your body over the vehicle's handlebars and through the uprights.

The field goals are located in the following locations:

  • Ark Site: This goal post is located only a few meters from where you first emerge from the Ark at the start of the Campaign. Of course, you'll need to acquire Dan's Jetter and come back to this location - try completing it after exiting the Wasted Garage. Line your jetty up with the goal post, then slowly back up, careful not to alter alignment. When you're as far back as you can get, accelerate and boost, crashing into the guard rail straight ahead. If you have enough speed you'll have to problem splitting these uprights.
  • Mutant Bash TV: These goal posts are extremely difficult to find, located west of the Mutant Bash TV studio. Look for the metal Authority door embedded in the cliff at the end of the road - you can see the tips of uprights just south of the door. Once you find this goal post, scoring the field goal is relatively straight forward. Line up your Jetter with the goal post, back up, and then boost into the rock wall to launch yourself through the uprights.
  • Northern Watch Tower: Leave from Wellspring and race through Scorcher Territory as fast as you can to evade any bandit vehicle. You're safe once you reach the North Watch Tower. Pass through the gate and turn to the north - the goal post is just beyond the ridge. You need as much speed as possible to make it over this distant goal post, so line your Jetter up as far as you can while maintaining alignment. When you can back up no further, accelerate and boost simultaneously, racing towards the rocky ridge in front of the goal post.

Each field goal is cleverly hidden off Ravines, you will need to use the ATV to 'score' at each of them by flinging yourself off the handlebars. You must hear the horn noise for it to count. It's easy to watch a video for this. If you ever misplace your ATV it will go back to your garage in Wellsprings or Subway Town. Here is a video made by Powerpyx which shows all the locations:

To do this, drive very fast into an object and you will be flung off.
