This is a story related achievement for the Scorchers DLC.
There is a point in the beginning where you will meet Sarah and she will ask for your help. You will want to go to the wellspring tunnels, which can be found in Jackpots (Thank you Boots!) Go through the tunnels fighting off the scorched, and when you meet up with her again and have cleared out the remaining scorched the achievement will pop!

To anyone who like me, started this mission and didn't get back to it until much later, the Wellspring Tunnels are found in Jackpots.

Story related and cannot be missed
To reach the Scorcher base you have to go through the underground tunnels in Wellsprings to reach them. The area is filled with Mutants and a new type of mutant with a crab like body. Fight your way through the mutants until you reach the base
