How to unlock the Final Boss: Raiden Fighters Jet achievement in RAIDEN FIGHTERS ACES - Definitive Guide
Select the game Raiden Fighters Jet and then use the following settings...
Game Mode: Normal
Difficulty: Practice
Medal: OFF
Credits: Free Play
Now with those settings set, start a new game as ''1P START"
Now select the Miclus ship.
While playing, you need to destroy almost every enemy and not crash or die. Watch for enemies slightly off screen on both sides and attack in a moving pattern of left and right or right and left.
Save bombs up and only use them if an enemy or enemies is close to escaping the screen. As you play through the game, your level progress should be 5, 15, 30, 45, Real Battle Mode Phase 1, Real Battle Mode Phase 2. Near the end of Real Battle Mode Phase 2, you'll see a large plane taking off from the left side of the screen.
Destroy this final enemy and you'll unlock the achievement.
If the game gives you a message about a level being too difficult or your level progression does not include the Real Battle Mode Phase 1 or 2. It means you didn't kill enough of the enemy to qualify for the achievement and you'll need to try again.

I didn’t use the Miclus. I used the Hell Diver and still faced the final boss after killing most enemies. You don’t need to kill all of them. A few slipped off the screen each level and I progressed to the boss the way you mentioned. There’s definitely more give than you make it seem. +1

Fight the final boss in Raiden Fighters Jet on normal mode. This one is tricky.
This is how I got the achievement:
Difficulty: practice (no one shoots at you, just don't crash into anything)
Ship: Fairy
Mode: NORMAL (DON'T DO BOSS RUSH MODE)
Medals: OFF (Keeps the screen clear so you can shoot everything)
The Level progress should be 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 (or 50), then "real battle mode" Phase 1, Phase 2. At the end of Phase 2 a plane takes off - go shoot that down and you will get the achievement to pop. If you get the message "this level was difficult for you", start over because the achievement was missed. I believe that you need to kill every enemy that is spawned or at least close to it.
