Raiden V: Director's Cut (EP)

The bigger ships that releases weapon powerups and Fairies are the ones you need to shoot down. These should come just by playing the game but for somehow faster method. Replay Stage 1 via Chapter Select as its the shortest one. Remember that it must be on Easy or higher. Make sure that you end at least you are on before restarting, otherwise your progress may not save and there is no telling how many you have!
