This achievement along with a few other achievements listed below can be cheesed fairly easily;

Start a large custom game at the earliest year possible and make sure to select "Walter Pajonk" as your character. His attribute Eloquent gets you a 30% discount at auctions immediately.

With this, you will start with 3 million dollars. Your aim is to spend the entirety of that money purchasing properties around the map. Scoure the map and look for any properties that cost roughly 100-120K, the cheaper the better. Buy these up and if you get the lower prices properties you can purchase around 25-30 of them in a single game, without having to work for it!

Purchasing the properties with your starting money gives you a +1 on winning an auction at the same time as the AI won't even challenge you for it.

If you want to boost this When an auction notifications pop out go win the bid then load up your autosave keep repeating it. If you want to boost for later just load up the autosave go save it up and write “auction boost” just load it up and repeat . You can use this method for almost all the achievements save and load since most achievements are cumulative
