How to unlock the Financial Shark achievement in Railway Empire 2 - Definitive Guide

Start a custom game on any map and any character selection will do. Importantly, set the year to 1910. Immediately upon starting head to the banking section of the company tab.
Invest your three million dollars in one of the 4 stock market sections, spend every penny of it! For good measure, take out the most expensive bond you can at the same and spend that too (starting later increases the bond size you can take, my guess is inflation!!). You should have just spent between 3.5-4mil on the market.
You can now pause and restart the game to do so again! This method will gain you both investment achievements!

Somehow I got this pop for me after spending only a few mil buying shares of my competitor... not sure if the calc there is wrong perhaps, like adding the whole company value per share bought instead - I can't check/track now it's popped for me

Same as Burke's experience. I did not invest anywhere close to this in the stock market but it popped while I was buying up my competition. Even then I don't think it was anywhere close to a hundred million. I'm wondering if it's cumulative over your entire play time, company value, buying competitors and any stock investments outside of those.
