"Tiling" refers to creatures that have a chance to split into more creatures upon death, spawning at 50% hp. The newly spawned creatures can themselves tile, adding lots of numbers towards this trophy. XP is earned for each enemy created from tiling.
This ability is a pain in the arse, and you will find yourself fighting it often during the game, meaning this should come naturally.
