How to unlock the Red, White & Blue Sevens achievement in Rango - Definitive Guide
Starts Level 8 ("Nowhere and Back"). At the end of the level comes the part where you "ride" on a fish. This is now picking up as many of the big stars sheriff. After going down the red carpet, pausing the game, start new story and it starts again at the beginning of the fish-scene (not complete at the beginning level).Around 7,000 sheriff's star in about 3 minutes are possible!
update:
sorry some confusion for some here becasue i did this after i fiished the game completely and had all upgrades just needed the stars ach.. and i thought most ppl would do the same but i guess if u try to do it on the 1st lvl on your initial playthrough u gonna have problems. U need all upgrades to get the multiplier's etc.. working correctly otherwise it will take longer.
Credit due to Suki at xbox360 achievements.org just thought you guys would enjoy this.
Everything being equal (20x multiplier and fully upgraded charge attack and charged attack range), I preferred the later stage as there are more enemies and the worm is right at the start and more powerful (less prone to accidental kill) and split out more small worms at a faster pace.
The disadvantage is of cos the explosive nature of the small worms (tendency to get injured when using your charged attack). However if both your charge speed and range are fully upgraded, then it's not really an issue.
Got the achievement within 30 minutes.

You can collect Sheriff Stars by breaking crates, killing enemies, and performing other actions. Spending Sheriff Stars does not effect this achievement in any way. I would recommend that you spend your Sheriff Stars on upgrades that boost Sheriff Star output e.g. more Sheriff Stars for killing enemies. More than likely you won't have unlocked this by the end of the game. You can boost your total Sheriff Stars by using the method found HERE. (Thanks to Suki). To use this method, pick "Tale Select" instead of choosing a new game.
You collect Sheriff Stars by destroying crates, mining and defeating enemies. You will have to replay some levels again and grind your way to 200,000 required for this trophy. You will get the majority of your stars from killing enemies. You can increase the amount you get via multiplier bonus by defeating numerous enemies in a row without getting hit. The higher the number of enemies you've killed in a row, the higher the multiplier will go. This is very helpful as you can get a TON of stars this way, so always make sure that you avoid getting hit at all costs to keep the multiplier going.
To also help in your grinding effort towards this trophy, you will want to buy a few power-ups from Wounded Bird found in the different levels (he's the shop basically). The first time you will come across him is in the first stage (Jenkins Cousin's Homestead) right after you use power smash to break through a trap door on the ground. If you have over 2000, then you can get the main 3 you need immediately (if not, pick the other up next time you see him). The 3 you want increase sheriff star output for the following: "Dispatching Enemies In Combat" (Cost: 1000), "Smashing Objects" (Cost: 600), & "Mining" (Cost: 400). Each of these 3 items has 3 levels to them, each costing more than the previous. You will want to upgrade them as soon as you are able to (especially the enemies & the smashing objects ones).
Just keep grinding away in each stage making sure you kill everything, smash everything you can and mine all the mining spots, all while upgrading when possible to make it easier. Once you reach your cumulative goal of 200,000 (doesn't have to be 200,000 on you at one time), the trophy will pop! A super easy way to get this is to farm the Beetle boss at the end of Jenkins Cousins' Homestead. The following video shows the same trick but in the Rodent Den stage so you can do it either way (credit to shinshaobaka for the video):
