How to unlock the 1-Upmanship achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide
1 - Hold to fire, and slowly move back and forth occasionally moving your aim up to hit additional enemies.
2 - For Battletoads, go up to enemies and tap to hit them and kill them. Kill 3 enemies to reach the goal.
3 - This Cobra Triangle can be a little tricky. You will be automatically moved forward due to water current and you must hit the enemies on the side of the shore. Each enemy is worth 100 points, but every consecutive enemy, you get an extra 50, so the key is kill a lot of enemies in a row without missing.
4 - In Snake Rattle N Roll, just grab the first "Y" pieces and then grab the black circle with your tongue. The only thing you have to worry about is hitting an enemy or getting killed by the crocodile in the water.
5 - From the start, go to the right hand side until you end up in a room where 2 skeletons spawn. Alternate between them and kill them as they keep respawning. Be as quick as possible, and kill 13 skeletons to reach the goal score.
If you're able to complete the playlist without losing a single life, the achievement will unlock.

Alongside the full games, each pre-N64 game in Rare Replay has five standalone 'snapshot' challenges available to attempt; this concept is taken a stage further by a set of six 'playlists', collecting together five achievements that share a particular theme. theme. To complete each playlist, you'll need to complete each set of snapshots in sequence without failing more than twice across the whole set. For this achievement you'll need to complete any one of the playlists without losing a single life (i.e., not failing any of the individual snapshots and needing to reattempt it).
You can do this on any of the six playlists (see the six playlist-specific achievements immediately above), but I suggest the 'Blast Score' playlist as being one of the more straightforward playlists to use for this. Refer to the "Taking Point" achievement above for advice and a video guide for this.
