How to unlock the A.C.G. Whizz achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide

Note: Snapshots are bite-sized challenges that drop you in the middle of a game. They are not milestones that are unlocked through normal progression of the game. Many of these challenges help teach the player core aspects to how the game functions. There are two ways to access snapshots for a game; the first is to navigate to snapshots from the main menu. The other option is to press left on the cn_LS and press cn_A to load them.

You only need to complete a single Atic Atac snapshot for this one. The quickest and probably easiest for those unfamiliar with the game mechanics would likely be snapshot number four, titled "Demon Dodger".

To complete the challenge, you need to kill ten monsters while being pursued by an invulnerable enemy demon without leaving the room.

At the start, move your character to the right corner at the start, and then move clockwise to keep the demon away. Make sure your character is completely in the corner and use your d-pad to move so that you don't accidentally move into an open door and reset your progress. Then spam the cn_A button to keep killing spawning baddies. Once you kill ten, you'll complete the snapshot and your achievement will unlock!

For those interested in tackling all five snapshots for Atic Atac, I've got a solution set up over on the other related achievement to help you out!

I am kind of mind blown about the stuff Iceberg was posting. It even says "If you leave the room, you'll have to start over. "Why don't you mention to unlock the achievement it must be on an Xbox, mention what kind of controller to use, mention if you fail the snapshot you don't get credit" I don't mean to be rude but the attitude about including it in the guide was pretty redic. Let's pretend you are right and it should be included take the effort to provide an example of what you mean just like you couldn't fathom what snapshot was "you" should include a guide on what you are talking about as nobody but you got it.

Anyway, good guide it's always good to get a helping hand from the community, holding hands is different.

You should mention which level

^ He does. It's right in the second sentence.

Um no he doesn't. I said he should mention which level to get this. He never says a specific level

Pardon my misunderstanding, but the word 'level' is a bit ambiguous. Are you suggesting that I add the specific snapshot number (which is number four)? That's a good idea, I'll be sure to add that. I figured that most users will look at the name and description of the challenge, but I see what you mean.

If I'm incorrect in the understanding of your request, could you please elaborate slightly on what you meant by level? Thanks!

In your other solution you post this:

Avoid the demon and defeat ten monsters.

There's not much help I can provide for this challenge, since it occurs in only a single room. My recommendation is to move to the bottom right corner at the start, and then move clockwise to keep the demon away. Make sure your character is completely in the corner and use your d-pad to move so that you don't accidentally move into an open door and reset your progress. Then spam the cn_A button to keep killing spawning baddies.

Which room/level is it ????????

When you launch the "Demon Dodger" snapshot, you are automatically placed in the room in which you complete the challenge. Snapshots cannot be completed in the main game, you select them from the snapshots menu. Upon launching the fourth challenge, you will begin in the room in which the challenge is to be completed. That is why there is no detail or image reference, because there is no travel required for it.

Perhaps your confusion lies between the distinction between Milestones and Snapshot challenges? I can provide a video reference if that would help you, just let me know. :)

See nobody would have known this if nobody mentioned it. Guarantee I'm not the only person who was confused

Sorry for the confusion! You're the first person I've seen with this question, I assumed everyone would know what snapshots were by this point, as they are a pretty hefty portion of the game.

Thanks for asking though, I've appended the info to the solution to prevent confusion for players in the future.

@Iceberg082006 It was always clearly stated which level to use in the guide before the changes. If you're looking at a guide for a "snapshot" then perhaps you should also be looking in the snapshot section of the game, no?

No it didn't NutriWhip, or else I wouldn't have said anything. Not everyone knows every part. Some may not know where to find these snapshots that's why it was asked.

Maybe is it was explained what a snapshot was then people wouldn't get confused. Now the solution is complete

I had the same issue that Iceberg had. Just started playing the game and I kept making my way to level 3 of Jetpac and shooting 10 balloons and not getting the achievement. The solution for that achievement did not explain that snapshots are separate entities from the main game and you have to go through another menu to get to them. Neither did the game as far as I am aware. So it is nice that this solution explains that for any future newbies. Thanks and thumbs up.

I did the second one since you only have to worry about leaving and can't die.

"At the start, move your character to the right corner at the start". I was confused because there are 2 corners: top and bottom. I went to the bottom corner and then I moved from corner to corner, going along the walls, launching my weapon by spamming A.

The snapshots provide 'bite-sized' challenge in a pre-defined scenario in the game, accessible via the snapshots section of the Rare Replay interface. See the "Lofty Goals" achievement below for details of how to complete these.
