How to unlock the Amber Warning achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide
To unlock challenge 21, you first need to get a gold medal in each of the other 20 challenges. To unlock those, you need to find all 100 Rare books in the game, one in each room and revisit to each room. You can see which ones you're missing from the challenge menu, and use the same menu to go back to specific rooms.
This challenge is a lot different from the other ones. It basically just tasks you with playing through the normal campaign as Amber, but your health is capped at 10 for each room, and there are no powerup soups at all. You're allowed to die and retry as much as you like, and you can even quit and come back later if you want.
It may sound hard, but there are only really a few troublesome rooms. A lot of them can even be run through without fighting at all. After playing through the game once you'll already know what to do for each room, so it's really just a matter of adjusting to the lack of soup. For the Amber boss fight, only use ranged weapons. When you throw the last bottle at her, follow it up with a melee combo since there are not enough ranged weapons in the room to get her all the way to zero HP. For the Baron fight... well, you just kinda have to play well. Trust me, it's not as hard as you may think.
Good luck!

In the Amber monster fight, I usually go behind me and to the left, there's something to throw right there, and then I grab the ladder leaning in the corner. I run around a book case and wait near the corner, BEFORE she gets around the corner, I start the swing. Hit her with the ladder 3 times, running around clockwise, then grab the cardboard box right there, throw it at her. Then I run back to where you spawn and I go behind and to the right this time, lot of thrown items in there.
You can totally beat the shit out of her with melee weapons, you just have to use the corners. Time your swing so it hits her RIGHT when she comes around, don't give her time to do anything.
Some rooms that have hard challenges like Don't kill the same thing twice in a row, kill 6 monsters can be easily beaten if you ignore the rules and either kill 6 weak enemies in a row or if you intentionally summon the reaper and then walk the reaper into your enemies. His kills count for you, too. He's not very hard to evade in larger rooms and he is extremely vulnerable to ranged weapons. Knock him down and run.

I found an excellent video walkthrough on youtube that helped me complete this challenge. There are a few rooms here and there that require a bit of luck to pull off the same stategy used in the video but they are doable with some patience.
As for the Baron fight, practice makes perfect. A good strategy is to hang around the desk that you can break in half. Also, try to make quick work of the pirate zombies that appear in the last wave before they start hurling treasure chests at you, and definitely keep your distance.

This was my last achievement for 100% in rare replay and I can’t say I’m more pleased to have this all completed, I wanted to offer a solution to a problem I had though that I hope no one else runs into, I finished everything including challenge 21 and the achievement didn’t pop… I thought it was an issue with time, so I waited a few days and still nothing. So I made sure I had my Xbox unplugged, reset my internet and reloaded the game, nothing, went back into the challenge that I already had the platinum medal hanging from and it thankfully keeps you at chapter 5 the escape, I waited out the timer again, (as I did the first time) and it finally popped. Hopefully if anyone else has that problem that solves it, just DON’T restart the challenge as I think the only condition for having it pop is have the Barron give you the medal and go back to the main menu. It might not work my friend had to do it 4 times, yes 4… times… just the reloading part and waiting out the clock so it can be buggy, anyways best of luck! Games decent but this challenge made me understand why people hate it.

This solution needs more upvotes. Because... you know, it ACTUALLY PROVIDES A SOLUTION.

Here are my Amber specific tips for getting through the trickier rooms and challenges.
Before starting I went into Features > Game Options and set camera to Reverse. This made it feel MUCH more natural to me. You will see another option: Butler's Brew, this does not apply to Challenge 21.
Overall this took me 3hr 20min and aside from some really frustrating rooms it wasn't as bad as I thought. You can always come back to it, your progress saves after each room, but you probably want to do this in one go and keep up the momentum.
General Tips:
Chapters 1 & 2:
Chapter 3:
Chapters 4 & 5, Final Boss:
Once you defeat the Baron, you can wait out the 13 min timer without moving, and in the meantime you can say fuck you to this game :)
WELL DONE!

Thanks for your tips, really helpful even after a normal playthrough! I just completed this, it took 3 hours 30 minutes. Thankfully it's over now and I'm not going to play this game ever again...

If you think the achievement is hard just because 0.04% of gamers have unlocked it that is not the case this achievement is only rare because you need to do the story, get all 100 books and get at least a gold on all 20 challenges once you've done that you need to do the story with Amber capped on 10 health which takes around 3 - 4 hours.
Pick up a weapon and wait around the corner and time your hits in the amber fight, it's a pretty easy boss fight just get used to the timing mechanics.
The game is very simple most rooms can be walked through anyway, you just have to use your brain and exploit the system when against the jessie-clydes - my tactic is to punch them, make them chase you back to the door you walked through and they should turn around and you can slowly kill them 1 by 1.
Literally the hardest part is where there is three of them and once you get to the door at the end you have to fight a door without using weapons but I was creating my own solution and found that the first one can't follow you to the entrance door so slowly take her down, kill all other enemies then there should be a jessie clyde by the tables make her follow you back to the stairs and she cant come down there so you can use the same method take her down then make your way up to the next stairs take down the last one with the same method, kill all remaining enemies then make your way to the door, you can just kill it with your fists, just make sure to punch as soon as he comes back up otherwise you'll get bitch slapped or just go down there with a weapon and go back and pick up another weapon. If you really struggle against doors then make the reaper take him out.
The baron fight is very easy, at the start dodge his first attack punch him, run circles around him do this until he drops his weapon pick up his weapon you can only hit him when he's not flashing red so don't just swing for no reason, once you get him to 140 health he gets his plane hit him from behind wait for his attack then do it again, then he makes the boss fight easy by giving you a gun. I found that if you rotate around his desk correctly and always make him hit you towards that red lamp thing he should always crash into his desk so then just shoot him, Kill the enemies he spawns and repeat over and over again until you kill him.
Then you should be sad because now you have to play get force gemini gemini and perfect dark zero which take absolutely hours to do :)
I have done most achievements on rare replay but I don't even wanna start JFG as it is boring af.
After finishing the entire game you'll realise that grabbed by the ghoulies isn't actually that bad or challenging at all.
Certainly not the worst on the collection that would have to go to battletoads arcade or jet force gemini.
Over 1,000 people have done this achievement so you shouldn't struggle on this one.

Challenge 21: Play It Again, Son - is unlocked by obtaining a gold or platinum medal in the previous 20 challenges. It consists of you having to beat the entire game again, but instead of playing as Cooper, you will be playing as Amber. Amber also only gets 10 health in each room and all soups are missing.
