How to unlock the Drawn Out achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide

This is actually a lot easier then you might think. The Rewind function (LT) is your BEST friend. You can use it at any point in the game, even if you die, and it won't effect the achievement.

All you have to do is find the Wanted character and shoot him. You will find a few people pointing, those people are pointing in the general direction of who you are looking for, so just follow their direction if you are having trouble finding him. When you do find him and shoot him it'll go into a draw and you have to shoot him again. If you fail just Rewind it and try again. Note that the enemy character won't always go to the same place in the draw after you rewind it.

I am unsure if you have to do all 20 in one game or not.

Edit: it looks like the last character you have to defeat is Hill Billys. Which means the order is probably the same for everyone. Which also means you have to defeat all 20 in one game.

Just to add I believe the order is the same every time and the 20th person is always Hill Billy's. Here is the list of enemies I got in order, none were doubled up until after the achievement popped.

Buffalo Bill
Billy the kid
Sundance kid
Jesse james
Butch cassidy
Mr baker
Wild bill
Rumpo kid
Clever jake
Milkie Bar kid
Klondike pete
Bronco Colorado
Wayko kid
Lone ranger
Tonto
Qd Mcgraw
Mexicans
Gun slingers
Bandits
Hill billys <--- 20th and achievement.

After achievement popped following person was "mexicans" again just for those wanting to know what happens next.

Do you have to do 20 different duels or can you save and just repeat the same one over and over.

It has to be 20 different duels against 20 different characters. I'm not sure if the enemies are in the same order every time, which is why i'm not sure if it has to be in the same game.

Very easy achievement using rewind as described. Just hit rewind any time you die or if you miss the shot in the shootout. Doesn't take very long to seek out and win all 20 duels.

I also recommend looking out for the kid pointing in your target's direction. Sometimes, he will quickly change between two directions. Otherwise, this is surprisingly a straight forward process.

The guide has it right, not a difficult achievement per se but a bit of a test of patience. Took me about an hour from start to finish, could be more or less due to the nature of the random spawns, i had a couple appear right by the start but also a few that took several minutes to chase down. Without having the use of rewind though, this would be truly nightmarish to pull off

This achievement corresponds to the game's main objective, which is to find and kill the 20 bandits who appear in town, first locating them by following the directions of those townsfolk pointing towards them, then winning the first-person shootout with them. The 20 bandits, and the bounty paid out to you for each, are as follows:

  1. Buffalo Bill - $350
  2. Billy the Kid - $700
  3. Sundance Kid - $1,500
  4. Jesse James - $2,000
  5. Butch Cassidy - $2,500
  6. MA Baker - $3,000
  7. Wild Bill - $3,600
  8. Rumpo Kid - $4,000
  9. Clever Jake - $5,600
  10. Milkie Bar Kid - $6,100
  11. Klondike Pete - $7,000
  12. Branco Colarado - $7,500
  13. Wayko Kid - $8,000
  14. Lone Ranger - $8,500
  15. Tonto - $9,500
  16. QD McGraw - $10,000
  17. Mexicans - $25,000
  18. Gun Slingers - $27,000
  19. Bandits - $31,000
  20. Hill Billys - $34,000

The bandits will each be moving around town, so seeking them out is best done by looking out for townsfolk pointing the way towards them. Some of the later bandits will be on horseback, so you may want to use a horse yourself in order to catch them. Bear in mind that bandits can appear within buildings.

Once you find the bandit, shoot them with your gun to start the first-person shootout, then you'll need to shoot the bandits before they can shoot you. Remember that moving your aiming reticle will cause the bandit immediately to start their draw, so it can be easier for some bandits to let them start their draw first (they then won't try to dodge).

Remember that you can use the 'rewind' feature is you have any difficulty with these encounters.
