How to unlock the I Four'd the Lore achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide

This game...oh my god this game.

Seriously all I can say is use this link:

http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Knight_Lore

This map will perfectly show where the four corners of the map are.

Also, it appears that you WILL spawn in one of the locations shown, but it also seems like you will spawn there consistently, so don't keep trying to reset to match up with the video guide. The video serves merely as a reference for specific room help.

Here is a tip I used if you are stuck in any room;
If a jump seems too high, or too far, if you have an item in your inventory. You can place that item below you, then jump and very very quickly pick up your item again so you don't lose the item. It's not extremely hard to pull off, but if you mess up just hold the L button to rewind!!!

Oh, and don't forget to go to the options menu and turn off the time limit and turn on infinite lives!!!

This video helps too;

Dr Scrufflton says:
"That link says the starting points are random, but I can never get it to match up with the one in the video. The one in rare replay always starts at the same location, and its not the same as the one shown"

In response from myself:
"That's strange because, like you said, I as well start in the same place every time, but my girlfriend has been starting in a different place from me, yet has been starting in that same place consistently...perhaps spawn is locked per account. Also, the guide in the link is for the original version of the game. I have noticed that a lot these old games have had very slight changes to them. For example Atic Atac has changed the location of the red and green keys, from the original copies of the game. The guide should still serve as a decent hand holder through the game. It helped me immensely.

Also, about the video, I mostly used that as a way to see how specific rooms are done. If I couldn't figure out a room I'd scan the video until I found the specific room I was working on.

Lastly, like I said, use the video guide as 'per room' help. I would strongly, strongly advise using the map in the link as your main guide."

Great! Glad it worked out for you!(: Also, sorry if this guide seemed fumbled around. I re-did a lot of it. I made it last night after I beat the game so was entirely sick of it haha.

U can easily grab items ur using to jump when u jump by pressing the jump and grab buttons at the same time. U will jump and take the item ur using for the jump with u.

So this Achievement will not unlock for me.
I have been to all four corners and the achievement list says "Done! Unlocking..."
Is this common among other Xbox One games?

Alright never mind...
If the achievement glitches just go back to any corner room in a new save file and it will pop.
Tested and confirmed.

this does not have to be all in one game. i only found 3 corners and beat it, then just had to go to the last corner in a new game.

I don't think the tracker works for this achievement. I've visited three of the four corners and it still says 0%. I will post again once I've visited the last one.

I honestly don't even understand how people can stand to play this game and the other pre-90s games enough to get all the achievements for them, they are sooooo bad

The right corner of the map can be a little frustrating to get when you don't have even one item to get over a gap. Otherwise, the rest of them isn't so bad.

Re: the spawning: I was consistently spawning in one spot until I allowed myself to be killed off and started a new game that way from the title screen as opposed to loading a new game via the menu. It then spawned me in a different location.

Thanks for the guide, though! That link saves an awful lot of time! smile

This achievement requires Sabreman to visit all four of the most extreme corners of the castle. Refer to the maps included under the "Destination: Mire Mare" achievement above to help with navigation around the castle.
