For some reason, this game drops frames like crazy for me, and it makes it impossible to hit enemies when im in the rover....I watch your video and it seems crisp.

#5 is near impossible. I can't even get to 5000. May have to abandon this one.

Thanks Fred. I have tried destroying the base by using the teleport, the vehicle and flying to it, but inevitably I just get hit by a flying alien. I don't know if its me or not but he controls are pretty erratic which doesn't help. I may go back to it at some point. How anyone played this game back in the day I do not know!

I'm with you there, the controls are awful and the enemy spawns are frustrating. In my view, it's one of the worst games in the collection.

I've completed all 5 snapshots but the achievement tracker is stuck at 80% for me. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

#5 is tough. The slowdown/speedup is very off-putting. The technique shown in the video works perfectly but it still took me an hour of retries to get it!

Good guide. Snapshot #5 is awful, do to Rare's historically bad controls. I was running out of fuel a lot getting the turret back to the rover. I put the bomb on the rover and rolled a few meters closer to the teleport before I bombed the alien base. That little bit of distance helped and I had no more fuel issues on my retries.

In the 5th I found it easier just to shoot the enimies using the jet pack over the car. One in a while just went down to refuel. It still took me quite some tries but it's doable and way easier then going for the base.

first off, i got lucky with this achievement. what worked for me was, grabbed the bomb and placed it on the rover then i drove to the base till i came across a hole then i got out, took the bomb dropped it at the based then i grabbed the turrent. this was less risky for me.

I honestly just started killing stuff off the bat, never even touched the bomb or left the starting area, hit 10k with 30 seconds to spare. Even got killed by the alien base missile and still got the achievement.

I couldn't get #5 this way. Instead, I loaded the bomb on the car, drove back right past the teleport until I got to the first bridge. Then I got out, took the bomb and blew up the alien base to the right. Everything else was the same after that, and it still took a few tries for me to shoot enough aliens to hit the 10k before time runs out.

I did what Axtrica did, i kept running out of fuel getting back to the rover. I also noticed large periods of time where no enemies spawned, so when it came down to 20 seconds left and 1700 points to go i just hopped out of the rover and blasted anything nearby

The red meteorites were the absolute cheapest enemies of that level. Never wanted to bust a controller until I played this Snapshot. Never again.

For snapshot 5, I recommend you scroll down to Hamer's suggestion. I found it much easier to just hover above the rover and take out the enemies.

Why this was all easy

I got it first try just going straight for the turret, then putting it on my rover and letting them have it. I rarely aimed it upward, only at the green guys and only for a short while. I focused on the red ones as they would eventually touch the ground, i would keep it aimed as low as possible and just be pointing in their direction. I did get only 10.400 but like i said, first try.

I actually had the same problem. I just tried to anticipate the slowdown and, with some practice, it worked out. I hope Rare fixes it soon. I'm sorry, if that's not helpful.

Tecstar70, where are you having trouble? Take it slow and focus on destroying the alien base, which will get you up to 4000. It's crazy difficult and will take some practice, but you can get it!

Unfortunately there is no video guide but for the most part the first four are rather easy so you shouldn't have to much trouble but I'll go through them one by one anyway :-

Snapshot 1: Score 3000 in 60 seconds in your moon rover..
Easy enough, just keep your thumb hard down on the A button and don't let go, will have to aim a little but personally i kept the turret pointing upright all the time and beat it, shouldn't have to much difficulty.

Snapshot 2: Use supplies from your rover to plug up holes in the road and move forward 15m.
Another easy one and a little way about not bothering with the "pink bridges" you have to build, instead press Y to get out and move slightly forward and press Y to get back in and the Rover will actually start going over the gap in the floor, also no enemies to deal with, 52 seconds was my best.

Snapshot 3: Use the Infiniti-Fuel jetpack to catch and shoot the missile..
You start off just behind the missile, not much to do except hover a bit above the ground and shoot it 50 times, while trying to dodge enemies, its easier than it sounds considering your constant firepower, the hardest bit is trying to hover straight behind it instead of flying to the top of the screen, but that shouldn't cause you to many issues.. 22 seconds was my best.

Snapshot 4: Destroy the Alien base then make it back to the Rover as soon as possible...
It's basically like playing the full game, but this time you have to go forward from your starting position to teleport next to the bomb, the base will be on the left so pick it up, dodge and shoot best you can, drop it and get back asap.. I actually ran out of fuel just at the end so had to crawl but can easily be made, unfortunately there's not much to do in terms of help and tips for this one.

Snapshot 5: Score 10,000 points in 120 seconds.
This was a real bitch first if I'm honest, couldn't find any videos, so i thought you had to just get out and dodge and shoot but no, thankfully there is an easier way..
When you spawn, grab the bomb in front of you and put it on the rover, alien base is a short trip to the right, drop the bomb on the base and immediately get your score to around 3,500 (It can be done without dropping the bomb but it will be close and personally i couldn't do it) immediately to the left of that base is a turret, pick it up, drop it in your rover and your now invincible and all you have to worry about is getting the required score, if course the tricky bit is dodging and shooting the enemies but when your in your laughing..
So, get bomb, put on rover, bomb base, pick up turret to the left of base, watch your score fly up.. I got 11, 000..

Hopefully any of that helped even if it was just a bit, especially that last one, again hopefully there might be a video guide that pops up that'll make it easier, Maka's Guides is fantastic, he has a few already up on here which helps, but good luck with this and the rest of the games guys n girls..

Enjoy :D

To be honest, i never needed to use the teleporters in the full game, as the bomb is right by the rover anyway everytime you destroy a base, the only thing i can think of is using it tactically, teleporting ahead to see where the next base is etc, sorry i couldn't have been more help in those terms bud

For snapshot 5 getting 10000 score in 2 minutes.

It's easier at the start of the snapshot to stay above the rover and kill enemy's this way.

Just dodge up and down touch the rover if you need to refuel should finish it with around 30 seconds to spare no problem

If your struggling to last to 10000 get to 7000 score then drop the bomb for completion

I don't think the rover is necessary invisibility yes but you only have to survive less then two minutes and the rover fires a lot slower.

Note: Green enemy's give you more points

You're the man. I just came here to post almost the same solution. While the other methods seem helpful, this is exactly how I got it done. You may want to mention that the green enemies gave significantly more points so try and aim for them as much as possible. High five and +1

Wish I had read this first. Trying to do the bomb was a nightmare. But I did this first time with 25 seconds left.

Perfect recommendation. I kept dying every time I tried dropping the bomb first. Following this suggestion I was able to get 10k before the rocket was fired and just sat in my rover until the time was up. The snapshot doesn't end when you hit the target score.

Yep, just camp the middle and get in the vehicle once you're done.

Indeed the best Solution. I did get 13390 Points. Just get Fuel sometimes, and hold down the Fire Button while traversing diagonally.

The first 4 snap shots are easy compared to this so ill just give you my strategy on snapahot 5. I first looked at all the guides and tried all the methods and kept falling just short of the goal.
Easiest method IMO
My method that worked but was still tough as this is a tough achievement is as follows.
Step 1: pick up the bomb and drop it on your vehicle (it wil rest on the back portion of it where your laser will go later).
Step 2: drive your vehicle to the right of the screen till you get to the ditch.
Step 3: wait till you have an opening and hop out of your vehicle. Grab the bomb and drop it on the enemy base (netting you a cool 3,000 points). Also if you miss your bomb drop then dont worry- a new bomb will respawn by your vehicle :)
Step 4: (optional) pick up the laser for your vehicle and drop it onto your vehicle) this is optional as it will net your a few extra points and is worth it but again not necessarry.
Step 5: hop in your vehicle to refuel whenever needed or if the screen gets crazy as you are invincible inside your vehicle. Dont spend long in there though as you dont have much time to spare.
Step 6: stay outside the vehicle hopping up and down shooting the enemies- this is the fastest way to score points but yes you are also most vunerable this way. I found the accurracy of the vehicles laser to be poor and preferred my own laser.

Tips: Meteors will only come from your right side of the screen and they are the fastest moving enemies. They move in a downwards diagonal line coming in from the right side of the screen and only moving to the left at a downwards slant.
All enemies give you 110 points apiece except the green things, they give 120 points each. Green move stationary and can come at either sides. The other red enemy that looks like a car wheel will bounce off the edges of the screen. Any questions just ask. Thanks for reading my guide and best of luck!

For Snap' 5
I've trying so many times, i use all the technique i see before, they are good but i do not quite anytime, it make me crazy headspin, so i just add the way i do with succes:

I'm not using bomb or "car shoot" but just shooting up and down at the beginning, just on the car , i do cn_Y for enter, be safe when i need and keep fuel .
I think it's a pretty issue because you don't lose time in the car and a lot of enemy came ... maybe it's just my impression but sometimes the game make it slow at this point .

With this i got the achievement after 2 trying only ( i'm playing 3 hours before redface angry

I hope it's help ...and sorry for my english roll

Lunar Jetman has a total of five snapshots to be completed, all of which are relatively simple. Check the video and/or text guide below for tips on each snapshot.

Snapshot 1
Snapshot 1 is extremely easy. Simply shoot with the Rover at the enemies above. You have one minute to get 3,000 points, and this is far more than enough.

Snapshot 2
The second snapshot is even easier than the last. With no enemies at all to hinder your progress, you must simply travel to the right in your rover. There will be potholes in the way which you must fill to pass, but aside from that there is nothing difficult about this snapshot.

Snapshot 3
Snapshot 3 has you trying to shoot down a rocket. This should only take a few seconds to complete, and is made easier with proper use of hover (). You can see the rocket's remaining health on the left of the screen, but make sure to keep an eye out for the occasional enemy.

Snapshot 4
This snapshot isn't overly complicated, and the only real restriction here is time. Note the timer at the top of the screen counting down. You need to move fast, so jump right into the teleporter beside you when you start up the level (), and grab the nearby bomb when you get to the other side. Take the bomb to the left to the alien base and destroy it, then go back the way you came to your Rover. Enter the Rover with  to complete the snapshot.

Snapshot 5
The fifth and final snapshot is the toughest, though still not really that bad at all. I suggest taking the nearby bomb in your Rover to the alien base to your right, and destroying that for the easy 4,000 points. The second alien base is relatively far off, so after the first base, I suggest grabbing the turret on the ground and placing it on the Rover, and killing aliens for the remaining points. With good aim you should have the required 10,000 points well before the timer runs out.
