you don't need to worry about shooting enemies. At the second corner there is a ramp you can jump, just go up it straight and you should land it earning 10k points
2. Rapid-Fire Rapids
This one is easy just shoot the targets, you should get 5k points just before you speed up.
3. Podcasting
just hit the ramps and grab the pods. I found that if the bottom of the boat touches them you'll have better luck at collecting them.
4. What's Kraken?
Firstly get away from the squid, try to go through the gap at the top. When your out keep to the left side of the screen and depending where the tentacles come up go to the top or bottom, usually they disappear before they reach you, if they don't just go along the top or bottom of the screen then go back when they disappear.
5. Last man swimming
Firstly what you want to do is let one of the boats grab the person and when he outside of the square shoot the boat and grab the person yourself, all you have to do then is just drive around the square in a circle, the boats chasing you wont be able to catch up. Try to shoot the UFO things since their rockets can stun you aswell.
The snapshots provide a 'bite-sized' challenge in a pre-defined scenario in the game, accessible via the snapshots section of the Rare Replay interface. You cannot use the rewind feature or any other cheats when attempting these.
There are five snapshots to complete, which are as follows:
1. Sand, Sea and Score
Race through the desert and score at least 5,000 points in 60 seconds.
This is a fairly standard 'race' type stage, and you'll earn points by shooting the other boats on the river. Scoring 5,000 points in the time limit can be achieved fairly easily, firing continuously as you progress down the river.
2. Rapid-Fire Rapids
Shoot the targets as you're dragged downstream! Score at least 5,000 points to succeed.
This snapshot sees your boat being dragged slowly down the river, with targets on either side - you need to shoot these to score points. The points awarded for hitting each target will increase if you can get an unbroken chain of targets hit, but don't worry too much if you're well below 5,000 points at the end of the course - you can get at least 3,000 bonus points from spinning your boat as you cross the finish line.
3. Podcasting
Ramps are fun! Use them to grab at least five power-ups in 30 seconds.
Here, you're faced with a course strewn with ramps, with power-up pods hanging in the air above them. You need to use the ramps to launch your boat into the air and collect at least five pods within the time limit. Whilst some of the pods are worth double in normal play, they'll only count for one towards your total here. However, the time limit is fairly generous here; just bear in mind that it seems that you typically need to aim slightly to the left of the pod to collect it successfully.
4. What's Kraken?
Your weapons are out of commission! Avoid the squid's tentacles for at least 30 seconds.
This is a boss encounter, but your aim is simply to survive as you have no way to attack. You start with your boat in the middle of the screen, unhelpfully between all of the squid's tentacles; what you want to do is get yourself to one of the corners as soon as possible. From here, wait until the squid's tentacles surface and move towards you, then steer your boat away from them, towards another corner. This can be a little tricky in places, but keep on repeating this movement pattern until you reach the 30 second goal and you should be able to get it.
5. Last Man Swimming
You're down to your final swimmer! Keep them safe for at least 45 seconds.
The final snapshot sees you defending one lone swimmer from a constant assault of attacking boats. In general, the best approach is to aim your fire across the swimmer's location, firing continuously, with perhaps a slight side-to-side rotation of your firing arc. The standard attacking boats pose little challenge, but what you need to watch out for are the UFOs that spawn about every five seconds - these fire homing missiles that will disable your weapons for a few seconds, long enough for a boat to capture the swimmer. Try to take out the UFOs as quickly as you can, which isn't always easy as they tend to stay around the outsides of the screen, but if you get hit by a missile it is possible to recover if there are no boats immediately on screen. The UFOs can make this snapshot a little frustrating, but hopefully after a few attempts you should get the hang of the scenario and reach the 45 second target.
