The best place i found to do this achievement is on the first mission and at the first Nibbley Pibbley Spawner
Just run around and eat 250 of these the little bouncing dots, and you could also get Indigestion Achievement which is for growing 100 tails. Just keep eating dots and when you get around 3 or 4 tails go around and run into enimies, or run into the bombs that come out of the Nibbley Pibbley Spawner and you will lose a tail. Try to get rid of all of your tails and then go back to eating from the Nibbley Pibbley Spawner so they grow back and when they come back just intentionally lose them and repeat this cycle. If you die just rewind a few seconds and go back to farming from the Nibbley Pibbley Spawner.
Also, after you finish grinding this out you should make a save right before the exit of the level and exit with full tail. The bonus score you get from eating all the pibbleys will boost you to the 1mil score pretty quickly. I was going up around 70k per reload! Takes a bit at the score screen though so have the volume lowered and watch a movie or something.

This achievement requires your snake to eat a total of 250 Nibbley Pibbleys, as a cumulative total across all playthroughs of the game. You'll work a long way towards this in the course of a standard full playthrough of the game, but will likely not reach 250.
To complete the rest of the required cumulative total, my recommended approach is to start a new game and progress until the 'item dispenser' on the first level, which shoots out a constant stream of Nibbley Pibbleys of all colours (alongside the occasional bomb, so take care!). Save your game here, then continue to eat the Nibbley Pibbleys as they appear until your snake is at full length. You can now just continue eating until the achievement unlocks, but as this can readily be combined with the "Indigestion" achievement (see below), I recommend now reloading your save and repeating until the achievement unlocks (without reloading, your snake won't continue to grow).
Note that you can't use the 'rewind' feature to work towards this.
