How to unlock the Rising Star achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide

Complete 16 levels to unlock the achievement
To make it easier for you hold cn_start for three seconds go to options menu cn_RB to game options and turn on the infinite lives in the cheat box, I can confirm this will not disable the achievement

Thanks! I did not know that. I was rewinding over and over again to keep my lives. That makes it much easier.

Why cheat you didn't earn it and you don't get anything from points outside of the adventure and accomplishmentt. Seems silly to cheat. if you don't earn it legit you just don't get those points and one day if you have a gaming nirvana moment and do then those points mean so much more.

Lol of course do what makes you happy but if I didn't earn this I'd just stare at the 10 points knowing I didn't do it. I got 95% in a basketball game because I wouldn't let my friend let me win 10 in a row. I'm happy with the 95% then a fake 100%. This is probably one I'll skip it's pretty damn hard legit

revisiting the original question, using cheats allows you to experience a game without having to master the challenge, something not everyone has time or priority for.

as far as points meaning more or less depending on how you earn them. hopefully we can all be honest with ourselves and admit that in the end the points really mean nothing. there was no gamerscore on nintendo and sega and all that really matters is if you have fun doing.

Stuck on 18 percent like so many other of these Rare games. Seriously, WTF is going on with these achievements?!

They give it to you in the options menu so I'm going to use it. It's like they wanted you to so why not? wink it's too unpredictable to do completely legit but it is a fun little game..

If its able to use a cheat without a hacking into code and stuff, its fair game. It essentially just a modifier to experience the whole game!

Old thread I know but there is an achievement on this game for using a cheat code. Made me laugh.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't all the "How to do it easy" achievement guides technically cheats? Look at Minecraft. Most guides are off the Title Screen world. Just saying...

It's not cheating if they let you do it

I haven't done it yet but I feel even more obliged to use the cheat because I already did this on refueled.

working on it now. I do like that at least if you moved the part/fuel it stays there for your respawn. This one seems mildly skill-intensive if not using the built-in exploit.

I "cheated" and I don't care because I just wanted the points. That and it made another achievement easy to get for the 12 Days of Christmas event (which I just finished clap).

There are 16 levels in the whole game and 4 rockets that you must build (U1, U2, U3 & U4). Each rocket is reset every 5 levels and you must rebuild the rocket. As soon as you start building the first rocket again, the achievement should pop up.

You might want to add in that using the rewind function will make this game ultimately easier by pressing cn_LT when you die etc

Never knew that you could rewind the game, I still got it without rewinding. Thanks for that!

For this achievement you must complete a total of 20 levels.

Every five levels you will get a new rocket to build, after which there will be four levels of fueling that rocket, until you've fueled and blasted off with all four different rockets. Build the rocket, fill it with fuel, then enter the rocket (simply run into it) to move on to the next level.

Whenever you die or make a mistake, feel free to use the rewind feature and/or save your game often and then load the save from the Rare Replay menu. It will unlock upon blastoff off the final U5 level.

Complete 16 levels to unlock the achievement.
In order to go through all this quickly, we hold within three seconds, go to the options menu games and turn on endless lives in the Cheat field. Achievements will still work!
