Thank you for this video format; short, well-explained, and without a two-minute intro that takes longer than the video itself.

Thanks for the video. Really helpful. The last snapshot was actually surprisingly easy and the most fun ;D

I had a problem with Fuel Crisis on the playlist. I beat it now, but The shields kept coming on unexpectedly and it ruined my snapshot probably 7 times in a row before I got lucky timing on the random shields.

How do you turn them on and off? I read something that said x + b = shields, but that yielded absolutely no result for me.

I used the d-pad for the shield, I think it was up or down. It got in my way more than a few times.

That's exactly why I came here, how to turn the shield off. You should mention that in your video description, that's what I'm watching most of your videos.

Thanks for the vid.Laugh guess it can be done, the controls are so bad in this one I thought my game was broken doing the fuel in snapshot 2. Then I did snap shot 4 and realized this is the way the game is played.

Whoa I did number 5 first try. Played it a few more times too as I found that snapshot quite enjoyable.

I had to do all these snapshots at least twice for some reason - the achievement tracker was stuck at 60%.

I tried the first one again a couple of times to see if the completion of a single snapshot would be enough to jolt the achievement to life but to no avail. After a little messing around I just did them all again in order and after I noticed the tracker went up to 80% after Snapshot 4 was complete and the achievement popped after I beat Snapshot 5. Go figure.

I don't see how you control the ship flawlessly. It's impossible to control. This game is broken beyond repair!!

If that circle shield would stop activating by itself on #2

Yea I had to redo the first snapshot for some reason to get it to pop. Thankfully that was the easiest one.

I think the hardest snapshot here is number four.

Head left as soon as the level starts, use your boost with cn_X while holding cn_A to keep going forward. As you can see in my video I'm a bit clumsy and I actually don't know where to go, but still I make it. It's not that hard when you get the hang of it. You can control your ship with the d-pad, but i prefer the left analog stick.
Any questions? Feel free to ask.

Good luck! :)

I had trouble with 2 as well until coming here and seeing you can press X+A to boost (who reads manuals, eh?). The base for number 2 is literally straight up and to the right.

Take right fuel or middle fuel, go on left then straight to the top and then on right.
Use X for boost.
It takes about 50-60s.

Awesome, just what I needed. I spent more than an hour searching the right side after assuming I couldn't go left and totally forgetting about the boosters...

Solar Jetman has a total of five snapshots to be completed, all of which are relatively simple (though made difficult by the awkward controls). Check the video and/or text guide below for tips on each snapshot.

Snapshot 1
The first snapshot is really simple, and you have infinite time to complete it. You need to collect all of the diamonds in the level. The only obstacle here is the controls, but you should get used to them quickly enough, and the health provided is generous.

Snapshot 2
Snapshot 2 will serve to get you used to carrying cargo around. Your goal is to deliver the three fuel container to the base above you. Simply run into each fuel container one by one and bring them to the base. If you accidentally activate your shield and drop the fuel, you can turn it off again by pressing up or down on the  or directional pad.

Snapshot 3
Jetman has lost his way! In the third snapshot you need to direct Jetman through the rather straightforward cave to his ship. There are a number of tight spaces you'll need to navigate, but Jetman out of his ship is significantly easier to control than the ship itself.

From where you start head left until the path ends, then go up and to the right through the narrow caves.

Snapshot 4
Probably the toughest snapshot, you have to carry a diamond to the base through some tight spots. The kicker here being that you only have 3 "hits" to get there. There's no time limit, so be patient and take your time where necessary. Controlling the ship with a diamond in tow is horrendous, so be ready to have to retry a few times.

From the starting point, head left until you can't go left any further, then head upwards. The base will be on your right when you exit the cave.

Snapshot 5
Arguably the most fun of the snapshots, the fifth and final one has you facing off against a boss enemy in a shoot-em-up style battle.

The boss has four eyes which you can only damage when open. Taking out an eye doesn't change the boss' behavior, so focusing one down at a time isn't necessary, though it may help you to focus on one at a time so you can be sure that your bullets will hit the mark.
