How to unlock the Those Who Fight Furthest achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide
Even on Easy, the AI can be pretty unforgiving, but you can basically skip every fight except Gargos if you have 2 controllers.
1. Start arcade and add player 2. While selecting characters, BOTH players need to hold and press which will select the sky stage.
2. Defeat player 2 and don't continue. This will resume the single player arcade.
3. Each fight up until Gargos will take place on the sky stage.
4. To win, all you have to do is knock your opponent off the stage. I found this easiest by using Sabrewulf and spamming his attack. I was usually able to ring out on the first or second attempt. Most of my fights were over in 3 seconds or less!
5. For Gargos, you're on the normal stage and he's quite difficult, even on easy.
6. The best strategy I found was to use Jago (if you lose, you can resume on Gargos with any character) and do a jump fierce kick, followed by a low fierce kick. (Fierce kick is ). This seemed to connect most of the time and the low kick knocks him down so you can reposition to attack again.
7. Once Gargos is in danger, you'll need to uppercut him off the stage. This is the trickiest part, but if you were spamming the kicks, you should have plenty of health. For Jago, this is . Honestly, I just mashed the quarter circle and bumper until I hit him. Only took a couple tries to connect. The whole process took me 3 attempts.
* You might also have luck continuing as Sabrewulf and continuing to spam the same attack, since it already ends in an uppercut.
Hope this was helpful! Tried to make it as easy to follow as possible :)

To add, if on the character bio screen you enter the code (that's press left on the right thumb stick) you unlock all the settings in the options menu. From there, turn cheap juggles on and blocking off. With that I was able to win with Sabrewulf after a couple of tries once I got the towards-away-rt combo down. For the record, credit for this goes to: http://www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showpost.php?p=6644298...

Thanks so much! I tried to do the final fight with Jago, but could not get much done lol I changed back to Sabrewulf and took him out on the second try. Great thing about Sabrewulf combo used all along is it has a finishing uppercut also, so need to change up moves.

Ok so here is a solution for people who SUCK at fighting games. It worked for me should work for you. It's just super dooper cheap.
Set game to easy.
Set game speed to slow. (dunno if this helps but it's what I did).
Arcade as Maya.
Divekick by jumping forward plus FK (Right Trigger). Enemy may or may not block and may or may not counter but keep trying.
When you get next to enemy do Down plus FK. This does a launching kick similar to Mortal Kombat's uppercuts. This will knock the enemy down when they land. When they get back up have another Down+FK waiting for him.
The only enemies who gave me trouble were Tusk and the final boss. With those guys I had to bait them into attacking, blocked it, and did the divekick while he recovered.
If you have trouble remember you have infinite continues so keep trying. And don't worry about being pathetically cheap. Who will ever know?

Great tip, worked really well. Only will add after you kick do another jump forward so you are right next to them when they get up. Found it a lot more consistent then walking forward.
If you don't like this solution please tell me why in the comments.

This worked perfectly combined with MrPawl's suggestion. I almost think the game starts to feel bad for you because even using the trick with Maya I lost a few fights but on the third try, even on the boss, it was a cakewalk.
