How to unlock the Win Screen Vipers achievement in Rare Replay - Definitive Guide

Snapshot 1 - Score Adder
Very easy even if I fail once in the video. laugh Actually no need for a video though, but here it is.
Snapshot 2 - Making a Splash
Pretty easy. Just mash cn_B to climb the waterfall, but take it slow on the top.
Snapshot 3 - Sea Snakes
A bit tricky. Check where the fish shadows are. As you can see in my video I ain't that good, but there is plenty of time. smile
Snapshot 4 - Squash the Shroomz
Can be a little tricky, take it easy.
Snapshot 5 - Dramatic Exit
The hardest one. You can actually just walk straight forward though.
Any questions? Feel free to ask.

Good luck! :)

Not true - I took over 2 minutes which is 120 seconds, so.

In case anybody else has it happen, i too was stuck at 4/5 track but all complete. had to redo the 4th one. don't remember original time, but second run was 1:04. there does seem to be something involving the time going on here.

The snapshots provide 'bite-sized' challenge in a pre-defined scenario in the game, accessible via the snapshots section of the Rare Replay interface. You cannot use the rewind feature when attempting these.

There are five snapshots to complete, which are as follows:

1. Score Adder
Score at least 2,500 points in 45 seconds and prove you're the hippest snake in town.

This snapshot is set in the game's first level, where 45 seconds is plenty of time to score 2,500 points. There are two enemies at the start of the level - defeating these will earn you 1,000 points apiece. Now, you can just locate the item dispenser and eat Nibbley Pibbleys (worth 100/200/300 points, depending on colour) for the rest of the required points. If you prefer, you can continue to explore for alternative ways to score points.

2. Making a Splash
Jump as fast as you can to swim up the waterfall and collect the extra life in 30 seconds.

Taking place in level 6, this snapshot mostly just requires button mashing - hit  as fast as possible to climb the waterfall. Once you reach the top, pressing down should move your snake onto the ledge, then you'll need to carefully jump across to the extra life.

3. Sea Snakes
Gobble down at least five Pibblefish in 60 seconds. Jump repeatedly to swim.

The Nibbley Pibbleys here are a fish-like variation; note that the number of hits needed to eat them varies with colour (in particular, black ones require three hits). The snapshot requires you to eat as many as possible in 60 seconds and the angles involved in aiming your snake's tongue when swimming can make it a little frustrating, but completion within a few tries shouldn't be too hard.

4. Squash the Shroomz
You can't touch these poisonous Shroomz with your tongue, so you'll just have to jump on them!

There's no time limit in this snapshot, so you can afford to take your time as you seek out and kill the six enemies in this level. Make use of your snake's shadow to judge where you'll land from a jump. Note that the final enemy is a little out of the way and you'll need to do a tricky jump to reach it, turning mid-jump, but if you've completed a full playthrough of the game you shouldn't have too much trouble with this mechanic.

5. Dramatic Exit
Make your way down the perilous path and reach the exit within 30 seconds.

This snapshot sees you navigating a narrow, though fortunately straight, pathway and while 30 seconds may not seem like a long time, this is actually quite generous and you can afford to progress carefully. Again, make use of your snake's shadow and take care not to overshoot your jumps. Also, notice that in a few places there are obstacles that will eject from the side of the wall and attempt to push your snake off the platform - take care not to land in front of these. At the end of the platform, you'll need to jump (or fall) forward then turn mid-fall to land in the exit below the platform.
