On the pirate planet, if you go off the main path, you can find a map-o-matic (or something like that), which will reveal the location of all the collecting items on the map (for each planet).

There are 25 Gold Bolts in total. There are no skippable ones, everything can be collected even after completing the story campaign. To get trophies, you only need to find 5 bolts.
