How to unlock the Return Policy achievement in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - Definitive Guide

I found the easiest way to get this trophy was with the mosquito guys that launch green goo at you. they fill up the void shield quickly and you can easily get far enough away from them that the concussion from the shield release doesn't hit them but the returned missiles do.

There are three of these guys at the beginning of Torren IV. you can just take them out and then hop in the ship. leave the world, and then come right back and they will respawn.

You will need to have the Reactor upgraded to level 5 first though. I found the fastest way to upgrade it was to enable infinite ammo and then go to the last level of the gold arena, where you face the centipede and dinosaur bosses together. just use the reactor on the bosses over and over again and you can fully upgrade in 1 or 2 runs.

Make sure that before you fire back, you're far away from the enemy otherwise you just hit them with the blast rather than the projectiles

I easily got the trophy by redoing the 1st Zurkie's bronze challenge a few times on the hardest difficulty and killing the pirates by returning their bullets.
Changing the difficulty from the game options is easier, as you won't one-shot most of the ennemies if your Void Reactor is at level 5 already.
Turning on infinite bullets can also help and won't void the trophy.

Got it using this method. For convenience, just reload the checkpoint after you finish the 2nd wave and restart the challenge, no need to finish it for the kills to count.

This was one of the hardest trophies for me.

General advice would be NOT to upgrade the gun, but use it a lot to get easy kills early on to level it up to the Level 5 required to return enemy bullets.

I'd fully upgraded it before getting the trophy, so it was over powered and the shield/gun itself kept on killing enemies before the returned bullets.

Your Void Reactor needs to be Level 5. Go into challenge mode (new game+) and proceed to the area where you first meet Ms. Zurkon. Buy ammo from her so you're topped off on Void Reactor. Move ahead to where you first learn to void jump and this will be your grind checkpoint. Kill the first enemy that flies in on the ship and void jump up. On the far end of this courtyard, a dropship will unload four goons and then unleash a pack of robo dogs. Run forward, use the Drillpack to weaken the goons, then back up. Pull out the Void Reactor and hold L2 to open the shield. You'll see enemy shots stick into the shield as pink/purple spots, then when you pull R2, the pink/purple beams will return. Keep catching shots and returning them at the dogs/goons until you run out of ammo and repeat checkpoint until you've got your 10 kills.

First, you need to get the fifth level of this weapon and open the corresponding cells in the “skills” branch, located in the right branch at the very top, it is also useful to open the cells in the left branch at the very top - there is an increase in reflected attacks. At the same time, I recommend, if possible, not to open the branches on the weapon that are responsible for enhancing the attack with a shield. Since in this case it is more likely that you will kill enemies with a shield rather than with reflected attacks.

After opening the corresponding cells, when enemies shoot at your open shield, you will catch its attacks, it will then turn purple. Next, you need to press attack, and all the accumulated charges will fly back to the enemy, but they will not be reset. You can catch one charge, shoot, raise the shield again, catch another charge, and with the next shot there will be 2 charges, etc.

There are two problems that can arise - first, reflected attacks do very little damage and some enemies may require several reflections to kill them. The second problem will be that many enemy attacks eat up the shield too quickly and there will be no energy left to reflect. So, to reduce headaches, it is recommended to collect golden bolts, open endless ammo, and then you will not have any problems getting this trophy at all.

You need to upgrade your weapon to the fifth level, then you will be able to catch projectiles with your shield and reflect them at enemies.

A red target means the opponent will be affected by the blast wave from the shield and will not be counted. A white target means the opponent is at a sufficient distance and will only receive damage from return bullets. Bronze, 1st task, 2nd wave - farming through the control point works, verified as of 03/22/22

I don’t understand how people get the achievement without level 5, the point is that my shield started charging (changing color from blue to purple from bullets) only at level 5, before that even fully leveling up level 3 didn’t give me this opportunity. So you definitely need level 5, wait for the shield to charge up when hit by enemy bullets (it will change color from blue to purple) and then shoot at a bunch of enemies. On the last mission I carried out as I wrote here.

I won the trophy on New Game+, right after the Zurkon store, when thugs attacked in the city. Slotting in the arena did not bring the coveted trophy. I recommend knocking it out with endless ammo turned on

It was not possible to get the trophy by accumulating 10 charges. I was able to knock it out after I started shooting with a shield with 5-7 charges, moving away from the opponents.

To get this trophy, you must first go through the story, find all the golden bolts, upgrade the reactor to the fifth level and go to the Colosseum to complete the very first level with pirates; without bolts it is impossible to get the trophy.

For those who have not yet achieved the achievement. Upgrade your weapon completely and go to the arena. You wait for the second wave of pirates with pistols, put up a shield and catch the bullets until the shield turns purple and then run away with the sight turned white and fire at the enemy.

Can be done before the final boss battle if you collect all the bolts. We turn on endless ammo and reach the heart. Soon the endless spawning of opponents will begin (you may need to slightly beat the heart), you can easily upgrade your weapon to level 5 and get the trophy right here, the opponents will shoot with a laser.

To begin with: the VOID REACTOR is easier to pump up on Ardolis next to the pocket dimension. There will be a lot of crabs to fight with. After the battle, we go to Mrs. Zurkon, replenish ammunition and return to the checkpoint.
Then again, right from that round platform, you can jump onto the shore and repeat everything all over again.
One level takes about 3 repetitions and will take about 5 minutes.

It is best obtained with a fully pumped void reactor, in the “Meeting Committee” arena - this is the very first level in the bronze section.

We kill the first wave of enemies with a rocket launcher, because they have swords. Already on the second wave, we catch the ammunition with our shield and send it back to the enemies. You can try returning to the control point after the second wave.

it didn’t work out in the arena, I knocked it out on Ardolis, there will be a moment when you pass by a cell with prisoners who are asking to be released, after that there is a door immediately and behind it a bunch of enemies shooting, kill a couple and launch from the control point - in front of this door

For a long time I could not understand what I was doing wrong. In general, we collect shots with a shield, they are displayed in pink on the shield (in the photo). You need to kill the enemy not with the shock wave from the shield, but with these pink bullets on the shield, aim straight at the enemy. And attention! The more powerful this weapon is, the further you need to move away so as not to accidentally kill it with a wave. It was most convenient to do it at the tournament. First test in bronze, second round.

If, like me, you started reading the hints late and have already pumped up the svtol to the maximum, the best option is to fly to the planet “Sargasso”, teleport to the crash site, run forward to the arms dealer and a little higher from him next to the bridge, there is flying flies, kill them, exit to the main menu and so on until you get the trophy. I received the trophy in the arena. Collected 24 bolts to enable infinite weapons and lives. The easiest way to level up is in the 5th gold test - you can run into a scalapendra and spam R2 - you gain experience very quickly. And after leveling up to level 5, we go to the 2nd bronze test (where the boss battle is) and wait until the shield is completely filled and shoot into the crowd of spawned minions and the trophy is yours
