Buvador the Bison is the Boss for the 2nd area of the first part of the game. After you defeat the 1st Boss, Weeping Fungi in Mushroom Forest, you'll need go past where the Fungi was to get to Deer Lake.
The enemies here are tougher than those mushrooms from the Forest, so make sure you level up near the Witch's house before going here. You need feathers from kills to trade for levels, so you can farm enemies by clearing an area then moving to the next one and then returning to the previous area, since enemies and treasure pots respawn each time.
To get to Buvador, you'll need to perform quests for the local Stags that inhabit the Lake area. This will appease Idris the Mighty, Leader of the Stags. Once he is satisfied with your deeds, you'll be allowed access to Buvador.
Once Buvador is defeated, you'll get the Tragic Brave achievement, a new skill and a Bison Horn for your troubles.
