The "cartoon games" are the mini-games that use 2-d cartoon graphics instead of 3-d game graphics. They can be found at the bottom of the game list when playing quickplay.
The easiest way I found to get this was to play "the kitty" game mode under "party games", because it only uses cartoon games. You can play this with one player. Simply create a set number of players that you want (between 3 and 16) and start the game. You can set a chair in the game's designated "play space" and all you will have to do is raise your hands twice for each player (you may have to lean forward to get the game to recognize you). Then you can find something else to do while you're sitting there (laptop, reading something, handheld game system, etc).
The kitty game has 12 rounds so use this to determine how many players to include. If you've gotten very few failures so far, use 8 players (for a total of 96 potential failures).
