Not sure. I think it's purely for replay value.

This guide describes how to find all hidden cages and coins (worth 25 lums each!) Very helpful for anyone finding it difficult to hit the lum quotas!

I completed the Time Trials with each level as I played it, and I got the achievement on 'Don't Mecha Mistake'. It unlocked at the same time as the 'Nitro' achievement.

I don't understand... If you have to beat all the time trials to win the ALL Medallions achievement, why the NITRO! achievement is more difficult thant the Electoon Legend (more people win the Electoon Legend than the NITRO!)?!?!

@Andre1971: because you only need the easier of the two times shown to get the electoon time trial. To get the NITRO! achievement, you have to get the time trial ribbon, which is the faster time. Beating that time and getting the ribbon is usually substantially harder than filling up the medal.

I managed to unlock this when I had completed every other medallion except for Mecha No Mistake. I had not gotten a single electoon on that level (I died too many times and took the option to skip the level), so maybe having no electoons counts as the medal being complete as well? I wonder if you can do that with all the levels (after you have gotten enough electoons to unlock all the levels of course).

Yeah, i wasted like 3 hours to get all the ribbons in first world and THEN I've checked the achievements... -.-
It aint gonna be that difficult when you have so many checkpoints

Hi guys,

To complete a medallion you need to
- find the 3 hidden cages
- beat the electoon time trial
- Collect enough lums (300 most of the time, but in some level it's only 175)

You don't need to obtain the medal that require 350 lums, don't worry.

1) The electoon time trial is really easy to beat, especially if you are looking for the cheev "Nitro!"
2) To find the hidden cages and collect enough lums, it could be difficult for some level, and it's really boring to finish a level 3 times with 280 lums or something like that. So I suggest you to follow this walkthrough, it helps me a lot :

In these videos, the guy finishes all level with 300+ lums, and finds all the hidden cages.

I TAKE 0 CREDIT FOR THESE VIDEO, ALL CREDIT GO TO IGIPNP THANKS TO HIM

Sorry if my english isn't perfect, I'm french

Good luck !

You need to fill all the medallions completely with purple Electun faces. There is no need to take the gold medal, which is awarded for the most points.

Many people will have a problem: How to collect 300 lums at each level , necessary to receive two pink electuns in your medallion (at the end of each level).

Collecting 300 Lums at some levels is quite a difficult task.
For example, red lums need to be collected in a certain sequence in order to catch more of them while they are “hot” because for one red, they give two regular lums.
Also, at almost all levels, there are coins for which they give 25 lums, but they are all hidden and still need to be found.

In addition to collecting all the Lums, the video shows where the hidden cells are and how to complete the speed trophies in each level (including all the chest chases).

After watching the first video, select the next one in the upper right corner, there is a playlist of all videos (for each level).

I personally did everything in order: first I passed the level (collecting 300+ lums along the way) and at the same time found all the hidden cells, and then I passed the same level, but at speed.

When you go through levels at speed, you need to know how to jump correctly because in some places the jump must be long (with the button held down) ) and in others, the jump should be quick and short.
It is best to first learn each location on the level, and then run against the clock.
