How to unlock the Hover Happy! achievement in Rayman Origins - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for spending a total of 1 hour hovering/flying. You gain this ability in the second world. You use it by holding A again after jumping. You can let this rack up naturally over time or for those who wish to grind it with little or no effort, you can start up the "Wind Or Lose" stage in world 2. There are multiple vents that shoot continuous gusts of air straight up in the air. Jump into the gust and use hover, simply hold A and adjust your character so that it's stationary hovering. Now you can watch some TV while holding A :)
***Update***
Kennansoft has mentioned that he sticky taped his button down and left it for 2 hours, upon returning his achievement hadn't popped but did once he stopped hovering and started again. Just for any of you that might experience the same.
BUILT TO HURT has also mentioned that this popped for them after jumping off the Mosquito at the end of a flying stage so seemingly the time spent flying in these stages counts towards your total? If anyone else can confirm the same for sure that would be great.

I sticky taped down my A button and went out for 2 hours and nothing had popped until I jumped away and then jumped and hovered again. Might be worth noting for anyone who us wondering if it has been an hour to jump away and start again if it hasn't popped

Well it wasn't a problem for me, it popped without ending and restarting hovering. I'll add that you encountered this problem to the guide, but when I went away and came back it had popped already.

On the basis that flying the mosquito counts, I've just found what I assume is a great place to get this without having to tape A down! After you have freed all the Nymphs, new levels unlock for all the old worlds. The second level you play in the jungle has a new level "Up and Down". Just before the end (the last section with the blue dudes who offer you their hands and let you swing on them) the hidden electoon level (top left) contains a mosquito element, and at the end you have to land your mosquito. Kill the dude firing rockets at the end, but not the normal enemy who just stands still. If you leave it in the air, top left and come back 1hr later, land it, the acheviement will pop just after. It popped for me when I exited the hidden level and completed the level.
You unlock the ability to hover in the "Desert of Dijiridoos". This will come in time and you will likely unlock this before the end of your first playthrough.

The trophy is cumulative. Use the hair flyer more often while jumping while holding the button

If you can’t bear to get this trophy or you didn’t get it at the end of the game, then the easiest way in the second world is to select the Wind or Lose level (level 3), reach the wind flow going straight up (there will be the same second flow, parallel first and two small ones, perpendicular to these), climb onto it using a hair rope as high as possible and glue it on the controller so that your character remains floating in the air. We forget for an hour/less. We come back, if the character is still floating, then the trophy should/has dropped out soon, if not, you’ll have to secure the button better and spend another hour on this trophy.

During the passage of any levels of the game (after freeing the music nymph Holly Luya), use the power of flight - double tap . Do this as often as possible and when you reach 1 hour of flight time, the achievement will unlock!
