This cheevo will be awarded for finding and using your tractor beam to haul in a Progenitor shard.
These shards are pretty rare and you probably won't find them until much later on in the game.
I personally found 2 during the same mission.
I accepted a Viriax assassination mission from the mission board in the Zenon sector.
I found the 1st shard from a random Viriax fighter and then the ship which I meant to destroy to complete the mission also dropped a shard.
This game is fairly random so you may find a similar mission or the shard will drop randomly when killing some Viriax enemies.
*EDIT* after the above mentioned mission is have also picked up another mission called Greel Shards which asks you to kill greel ships and take their shards.
