How to unlock the Memorable 500th achievement in Record of Agarest War - Definitive Guide

To clarify for some, after beating the true ending, and continuing your game, the turn counter does not disappear. It stays in the bottom corner, some people have said it disappears but it does not.

And if you are not up to the boundary plane, you can always replay blue dots in gens 1-5 which still increase the turn counter even after the true ending.

(Memorable 500th) The number of turns has exceeded 500.

During all your generations there will be a turn counter. Everytime you fight a battle that counts as 1 turn. If you repeat a battle to help level up your players that will add a extra turn. All you need to do is get to your 500th turn and before the battle starts the achievement will pop. To see how many turns you have just check the lower left hand of your T.V.

NOTE: To get the "True Ending" you can not exceed this number of turns.

It's also good to note that battles during an exploration area don't add to the count, with the exception of a boss battle at the end of one.

any idea if you can get this after reaching the true ending? I am under the impression that the turn counter disappears but does it continue to count the turns anyway afterwards? Otherwise I suppose I will need to use a bunch of turns until it pops then reload a save to continue to the true ending.

I got the achievement while grinding out battles in the boundary plane after the true end. So the turn counter does in fact stay there after you reach the true ending.

Pretty self explanatory. If you are following the perfect path then you must only obtain this after defeating storyline Chaos in the Boundary Plane (the first time you face him). Playing on Hard, you will obtain it naturally before completing the Extended Boundary Plane, otherwise you can simply complete an easy Generation 1 battle over and over to reach it quickly, then reload to an earlier save. If doing this method, I would recommend the Frontier battle with only a few characters to save loading times and face fewer enemies.
