How to unlock the Core Swapper achievement in ReCore - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 12 possible combinations of corebots and frames.
After unlocking all 3 corebots (Mack, Seth & Duncan) and all 4 frames (K-9, SP-DR, AP-3 & FL1-R), you want to go back to your crawler, and on the workbench to use core swap and make combinations of corebots and frames. After making two, back out, and go outside. Find a group of enemies and use the lethal attack of these combinations on an enemy group for it to count. Now back back to the crawler, and make a new combination, and repeat. You can keep track of your achievement progress via the achievement tracker.
All 12 possible combinations are as follows:
- Mack as K-9*
- Mack as SP-DR
- Mack as AP-3
- Mack as FL1-R
- Seth as K-9
- Seth as SP-DR*
- Seth as AP-3
- Seth as FL1-R
- Duncan as K-9
- Duncan as SP-DR
- Duncan as AP-3*
- Duncan as FL1-R
* - denotes default combination
You may want to set up a grid on excel or use this list to check off the combinations you've used.
You will also unlock Identity Crisis while doing this:

I was stuck on 91% so went through them again , the one I was sure I had was obviously Mack in the K9 frame but it unlocked when I put him back into that one and used it.

Had the same issue... went through them all 3 times excluding the default combos thinking "well I obviously already used their lethals"... eventually decided to try them all a forth time, including the default combos, and first round, mack in K9 and boom it popped...

Lethal Combination means that not only do you have to swop the cores, but you have to do some damage with that setup as well.
May get a little confusing so im going to use
Core names, and Robot names
Mack, Seth, Duncan
Dog, Spider, Ape, Flyer
MACK = BLUE
SETH = YELLOW
DUNCAN = RED
Here's a grid if you want to track it yourself.
CORE|BOT| DOG|SPIDER|APE|FLYER|
MACK ........|______|________|____|______|
SETH..........|______|________|____|______|
DUNCAN...|______|________|____|______|
This is the way i did it after getting the 4 Robots.
The percentage is how much showed up on the tracker.
I made sure that the combo both attacked and killed to make sure it was good with the tracker before i checked.
KILLZONE
Zoning out of the staring crawler, I usually attack the 3 red spiders that are straight ahead and off to the left just a little.
MY GUIDE OF ROTATIONS.
First 25% just use the original 3 bots. (These will come from normal game play/fun)
Mack in Mack
Seth in Seth
Duncan in Duncan (25%)
Once you get the opportunity to switch core usage (which should be almost at the end of Warren Mission).
(Before Placing Duncan in - know that the place where you first get the flyer there is 1 or 2 walls that Duncan can smash - so adjust accordingly)
Place Duncan in Flyer (33%) (in mission)
Go to your crawler, use the work bench and do the following.
Mack in flyer, zone out get a kill (41%) > go to workbench.
Seth in flyer , zone out get a kill (50%) > go to work bench.
(Mack in a flyer should also pop the following achievement:
The reason for doing just the flyer, is the rotation becomes easier to handle and not so much swapping afterwards
Go back into crawler slide
place SETH back in SPIDER. (was in flyer)
Now place DUNCAN back in FLYER
SETH in APE
MACK in SPIDER
Go outside with MACK and SETH. - Kill something with each one
Mack in SPIDER kill (58%)
Seth in Duncan (66%) (these 2 might be switched around, but as long as you have the 66% after using both, that is what counts)
Zone back into crawler and slide the following.
Duncan into DOG
Seth into Flyer
Mack into APE
Zone out of crawler and take
MACK AND DUNCAN with you.,
get a kill with each.
Mack in APE kill (75%)
Duncan in DOG kill (83%)
Zone into crawl and change the following.
Duncan in SPIDER
Seth in DOG
Mack in Flyer
Zone out of crawler and take
Seth and Duncan with you.,
get a kill with each.
Seth in DOG (91%
Duncan in SPIDER (100%)
ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED.
Happy Hunting.

I do not know how to cause damage with Seth's Charged Shield Lethal that it has, while it is in a K-9 CoreBot Frame. It never counted when I used it during some battles.

All of their lethal attacks are just the Y button. (the energy symbol on their health bars)

Wait until you have finished the quest in THE WARREN and gotten all parts of the FL1-R. After this head back to Joules Crawler and use the Workbench. From here you can go to CoreBots and press to swap the cores of the bots into different frames.
You need to use the special attack (Press when in combat to do a special attack) for each core in each frame in order for the achievement to pop.
All Combos are listed below
• Mack - K-9
• Mack - SP-DR
• Mack - AP-3
• Mack - FL1-R
• Seth - K-9

• Seth - AP-3
• Seth - FL1-R
• Duncan - K-9

You will need to have unlocked all cores (Mack, Seth, Duncan) and all frames (K-9, SP-DR, AP3, FL-1R). Once you unlock core swapping, there will be 16 unique combinations to create. Essentially, put each core into each frame and use its lethal attack on an enemy. You can do this from Joule's crawler, fighting the enemies outside, coming back inside, swapping cores, and repeating.
