How to unlock the Cradle Robber achievement in ReCore - Definitive Guide

Edit.

After the recent update. The first rock you jump on 2. You will automaticallystart getting radiation. I was still able to use this method anyway. My health is at 272. When I got out of the radition I was at a quarter health left.

This isn't a solution on how to find all the hardware. This is a solution on how to access the northwest part of the cradle that got me the achievement.

I was at 88% in the cradle and I seen some hardware over on the very northwest of the cradle. Have trying to get over there I realized that you need the Corebot that is not in the game. The T8-NK. But I managed to get over there using the FL1-R frame. And I picked up maybe 8 pieces of hardware and the achievement unlocked.

There is a lot of hardware pieces in this section. There is also a dungeon I managed to unlock the door for.

EDIT
Thanks to the confirmation of Demon Haze II. You can complete this dungeon without the Tank.

i can confirm that this method still totally works! I don't think the devs planned on us being able to get over there yet because when I popped the achievement I still had TONS of hardware that I could still pick up. this means that you should be able to get the achievement without ever needing to go into this area. as mentioned above, the devs did add radiation making it a little tricky but I didn't have to climb too high to be able to cross over and I still had a decent amount of health left.

Once you do get into the area, there is a fast travel port you can activate as well as a dungeon you can enter (once you find the 4 robo key things). it says it requires the tank but you don't, again because the devs hadn't planned on us being over there they didn't put any obstacles in the dungeon so you can just run through to get the time trial, orbs, and yellow key. easy way to get 2 prismatic cores and a set of blueprints for the tank (whenever it comes out). I was not able to get the health upgrade (if you did please tell me how), nor did I find an exit dungeon teleport (so you have to go back to the crawler).

I was able to get over there using this method, but my Achievement percentage didn't go up.

Chester. I'm not sure why it didn't. Iv had plenty of people tell me it went up for them. Thats weird. Hopefully it gets fixed on your end.

Demon Haze II. I put an edit in the guide. Thanks for the confirmation

How do you get the last Power Cell up on the rocks? I can't climb high enough.

Are you talking about the last key that opens the dungeon?

Maybe? One of the little robots you need to find to unlock the big door. Found another video showing how to climb the rocks for it.

Pretty sure the update yesterday nixed this method of access. Radiation kills you before you make it. Also, does digging up hardware parts count?

I want to say that digging up hardware does count. But I cannot remember.

I have heard the patch nixed this method. I haven't played recore since forza came out. But I'll get on later today and try it.

Could be that I'm really bad at it, but I'm fairly certain the radiation is getting me where in the video it's safe. Knew I should've done this first, but I wanted to infinite time glitch the dungeons first ;)

This method still works. If you have enough health to get the jump off. I'm at 272 health and was able to clear the radition with a quarter of health left

The hardware in this area counted for me as well. In fact I unlocked the achievement here. Didn't have to collect all the pickups though.

Same here, was able to access the area, collected a few pieces and pop! Goes the achievement. So easy, it's sad.

You don't need the tank to complete the dungeon. I've ran it many times. Since we're not supposed to be in that area as it isn't finished, and you can boost to the end shooting the red cubes and getting the yellow key with ease.

I used this method after the patch. The made the radiation up in that area activate very quickly, but I could still manage to get up and over to that area... I didnt jump from the same spot, but got up high enough to make it happen

As the Release of the Definitive-Edition, the discription of this Achievement has changed. You have to collect 117 Pickups. There are more than 117 in this Area (the Quicksand Area has some more). You can now enter the quicksand, as soon as you unlock the Tank.

Yeah just noticed that... had like 97% and there were like 50 new pick ups or so collected 5 got the achievement.
So >absolutely confirmed<
Maybe will just work for old saves or maybe patched so there is only 117 in total who knows so get it on 😁

Started a brand new game with Definitive Edition, and it definitely popped long before I got all the pickups (still had the ones on the southeastern girders left when I went to the Tank area and picked stuff up there.)

Before I went to the quick sand area I was at 86% then it popped before I got all of them from this area. On a side note there's 2 trunks that appear you can't get too, you can as I just managed it. Go to what appears to be an arch. Drive your tank and you can jump onto some narrow broken beams. However there's no blueprints in them so you may as not waste your time.

You can complete the achievement by cheating a little. You just need to manage to get to the location behind the quicksand . There is an opinion that this part of the location is not yet accessible for playing without a tank, and apparently therefore the iron located there is not needed for achievements, but it does count. After receiving the achievement, I still have a lot of it left there.
