Here is a video showing how i got the achievement.

While exploring the Warren for the first time, you'll receive the parts needed to construct the FL1-R Frame. When you leave the exit, use Duncan to clear the shortcut back to the entrance, and climb up one the black mineral spikes to the left on the cliffs. From there you can glide down to the sand and get this achievement.

You should have at least 30-35 seconds on airtime if you take off from the point on the tallest one.

If you put Mack in the FL1-R Frame, you can also pop the "identity Crisis" achievement with "Ready for Takeoff" when you create the frame.

This is easily obtained in the Lonely Basin area of the map. You will need the fl-1r frame. Simply, use an air spout to propel yourself across the basin. Do not land on the bridge, but rather maneuver your way around it.

You can do this easily in Granite Steps if you missed the spot right after acquiring the flyer.

There's one vent in Granite steps if you go right after exiting Joule's Crawler. The vent and the upcoming flight path is shown in the picture below.



Get to the platform by double jumping towards the vent when you're facing the platform, hit X to start the fly mode. Once you land on the platform, turn around and go the edge, facing the same vent you used to jump there.



Double jump, hit X and fly towards the steaming vent. When you start gaining altitude, make a 90 degree turn to right and fly towards the area with 2 yellow enemies. This path should give you around 25 seconds of flight time.
