Nobody registered on TA has the achievement - not necessarily the world. It is NOT glitched and perhaps it is difficult, but not impossible.

3.) In the final race, get any medal and do not get powered up.
Has anyone been able to do this????
By Chunkeh Munkeh on 04 Jan 2013 15:57
So is this glitched or just really hard to do? ( as of when this comment was written nobody in the world had the achievement)
By crymepayz on 23 Dec 2012 03:36
Can anyone confirm how cumulative the totals are? Does it have to be the same series, or could I, say, race Munich ten times to get each of the necessary takedowns and airtime?
By TheTraderGuy on 09 Jan 2013 02:06
I think only the airtime is cumulative...the take downs have to be done in the 2 races I think because I have yet to get the badge for them.
By Chunkeh Munkeh on 16 Jan 2013 15:52
Everything seems kind of straight forward, except leap frog. I have tried different things to get LEAP FROG or some other indicator to have this register. Maybe I'm missing something? Has anyone else been able to get the Leap Frog to show up, or know how to get it?
By EnbukanSquirrel on 23 Feb 2013 15:33
Tempted to play this as no one has completed this game yet on this site. I'd hate to play this and find out this achievement is unobtainable. I'm guessing this achievement is that difficult...
By Mr Granstaff on 28 Feb 2013 18:15
There isn't only this achievement to worry about, "Best of the Best" is very difficult as well and will likely only get harder.
By Crandy on 01 Mar 2013 04:47
Very valid point and I certainly agree with you, but seeing as no one has unlocked this, it warrants more attention for me than the leaderboard related one as there could potentially be another reset in the future.
By Mr Granstaff on 01 Mar 2013 13:18
I just got the Leapfrog badge today and the Best of the Best achievement yesterday. I am stuck on the get a medal in St. Paul without powering up if anyone has any suggestions for it??
By fishnut021 on 01 Mar 2013 21:43
xlx SPARTA xlx - Can you elaborate on what you did to acquire the "Leapfrog Badge"?
By JBit Gaming on 02 Mar 2013 01:33
Yes, please elaborate :-)
By NBA Kirkland on 02 Mar 2013 05:58
Not that it necessarily helps, but I got 1 LeapFrog on St. Paul passing someone on a rail. So I would venture to guess you would have to follow someone onto a rail and blow past them. It has an alert when you've done one - not sure how to get three though - yikes.
By Freamwhole on 02 Mar 2013 06:44
Yeah, they can only be done on the rails. It is shear luck to get the 3 that you need as the computers generally don't take the rails enough for it to be completed but it is possible. I finally got the St. Paul badge as well today and was the hardest one aside from placing 1st overall.
By fishnut021 on 06 Mar 2013 00:46
Can anyone clear me what's exactly bloking? For examenple, it means blocking the obstacles like ice cubs, or just defending yourself against other racers?
By STARS Nightmare on 25 Mar 2013 22:08
As near as I can tell, it's defending yourself.
By Polerand on 28 Mar 2013 12:31
Thanks! I thought so, cause i just got the second badge on Valkenburg when i was triying to do the first one and i just didnt know what the hell was goin' on lol
By the way, im triying to beat the St Paul third challenge, and its just impossible imo. There's no way i can beat the lvl without getting powered up. Everytime i try it, i cannot pass the jump part that's fulled with stars. It's frustrating... What the hell were they thinking??
As far as i know, you can easily run all the course without getting powered up and avoiding items, but the jump part, just kills me. Even the last part its doable, but i dunno what to do... It's the last badge i need O_o!!
If anyone can help would be really appreciated.
By STARS Nightmare on 29 Mar 2013 17:03
As if anyone can do that. You've got to be a professional ice skater to master this. Sorry, that is what I believe.
If waffletrain can do it then anyone can do it. The only reason he got it though is because he spent like 40 hours on it and I gave him tips.
By jordaOwO on 12 Mar 2014 02:07
I'm not cheating and I ain't planning on cheating, lesson you shut up. (Joke)
I just got third and never powered up in the final race but still did not get the medal. WTF! :(
By MattiasAnderson on 05 Dec 2020 16:52
So frustrating! Did it again and made sure I did not pick up the energy drink above the train. Finished 3rd and never powered up in the final race. I guess I am not allowed to power up in the first race either making the first race more difficult than the second race.
By MattiasAnderson on 05 Dec 2020 17:46
I just got the anti hero badge for not powering up! I believe there is a hidden criteria to win the first race or it is VERY buggy. OR you are not allowed to jump on the very final big jump at the end. It never said powering up for me two times prior and I finished 3rd those times and was never rewarded with the badge. After winning the first race and not powering up in the second and getting 2nd place I finally got it...
So annoying! Glad that one is done! Now on to leap frog and then the rest!
ps. You are allowed to power up in the first race.
By MattiasAnderson on 05 Dec 2020 19:12
Thanks for posting the updates, Mattias. I'd still like to get this one someday. Also curious if you have a good strategy for the "stomp takedowns"
By NBA Kirkland on 05 Dec 2020 19:15
Hi, The leap frog one is the toughest one for sure.
The stomp ones is to try and be powered up and be behind them and then do a stomp move with the left or right foot depending if they are on left or right side ahead of you. Your avatar will do a elbow move and if the AI FALLS you get credit for it. Do it enough times over the two races. I have not gotten any of them yet but I want to get leap frog and without powering up first.
The one for not powering up seems glitchy or something but is not that hard.
By MattiasAnderson on 05 Dec 2020 21:17
True story! Got the leap frog on my first attempt trying it with a luck charm I have. After 300-500 attempts i get it on my first attempt with the luck charm I got from a famous monk in Thailand. Same happened with zuma to beat a level under 5 seconds and I decided to wear it after many hours. Then got it 3 attempts later or so.
Truly amazing! Now I just have all the stomp ones left and the multitask one on valkenburg and the block one on Quebec.
Hopefully I will finish this game the next time I play it! Time for a break. Too many hours straight playing kinect.
By MattiasAnderson on 05 Dec 2020 21:52
The stomp ones are extremely annoying since I know that they fell when I did the stomp move enough times and won the race for gold but still I don´t get the badge most of the times. Need to do this 6 times! So far I have done Åre and StPaul. Hope to finish the rest of the badges today. They seem glitchy and also if you have two badges you need, for example 4 stomps and 5 blocks in quebec. I believe that you might only be able to get one of them since I am so sure I did enough stomps but got the blocking one without even trying to block them.
By MattiasAnderson on 12 Dec 2020 18:13
For anyone that needs to learn the stomp move! I might have figured it out. Something that is not mentioned here. If you do a bit of a side step and then stomp there is a much better chance that they will fall. Like you are moving in to it. Hopefully this discovery will help.
By MattiasAnderson on 12 Dec 2020 18:50
Many comments from me! Maybe I should delete them after and make my own guide. Anyway, I just want to keep updating things that I find out. I will probably make a guide for this when i get it done.
So what I just figured out is that when you want someone to pass you so you can do a leapfrog or a stomp takedown be sure to lift your hands up to protect yourself from getting knocked down from the AI when they pass you. You will often fall and be too far behind. So when I started to do this I got the one for Quebec. However I don´t think they actually fell 4 times. But they stumbled and maybe those also count sometimes. lol
This game is really bad! Now I only have all 3 on Valkenburg left and all 3 on Munich.
By MattiasAnderson on 12 Dec 2020 21:17
So now I also struggle to get the airtime one on Valkenburg and Munich and also the 5 powered up on Munich. This is so glitchy or what is the problem? What am I missing?
Those 3 are now the only ones left...
By MattiasAnderson on 12 Dec 2020 23:33
If you struggle with the airtime one it is not comulative! It has to be both races combined. Just jump the entire race. But make sure to finish top 2 so you reach the final and then don´t mind finishing way behind the others. Just jump. jump. jump on the ice and jumps. lol
Now I just have to figure out the 5 power up thing in Munich...
By MattiasAnderson on 13 Dec 2020 00:40
YES!!! FINALLY! to get the 5 power ups you need to speed and get stars and power up. But then when you have it just slow down under 20 or 18 and then you can power up again by speeding and getting stars. Just reach the final race trying to get as many you can get in the first. And then on the second race just do this and don´t care about winning. Get 4th place and many power ups. Maybe also need to get the red bull drink that is in the air at one of the big jumps. Since I got that one in the second race. But I doubt you need that. Not sure if 5 is enough as I believe I should have gotten that before.
Finally I have this annoying achievement! Just need the 10 two player wins. Time to build a friend. lol
By MattiasAnderson on 13 Dec 2020 00:58
Nice work. Congrats. Thanks for the comments.
By NBA Kirkland on 13 Dec 2020 18:23
That Anti-Hero badge certainly seems impossible to me at the moment. I'm getting powered up too often and can't even medal because I'm worried about skating too fast or avoiding stars to prevent from getting powered up, haha.
EDIT: Probably going to focus on the Leapfrog badge first (especially since I saw a helpful comment about slowing down whilst blocking), then tackle the Stomp Takedowns and revisit the Anti-Hero one.
