If you don't have a friend that can stand in with you for 20 minutes or so than it takes some creative thinking to build a 'person' that the Kinect will recognize as well making it appear to be holding its arms up to grab the handles. In my case it was a cardboard standup of the Dos Equis guy wearing a jacket. I strung speaker wire through the sleeves and tied it behind the neck and then stuck drumsticks in the sleeves to make them stand up better. Viola!
