This achievement is MISSABLE. It is ADVISED that you make a MANUAL SAVE every few hours during the game. This will allow you to redo a chapter should you miss something.

There are a total of 10 missions, and this achievement does have tracking. Tracking only updates after the conclusion of the entire chain of missions. Missions have been grouped together based on their unlock order and relation to each other.

There are quite a few optional honor missions, many of which are time sensitive or have certain unlock requirements. For the ones that are time sensitive, it is recommended that you complete them as soon as they become available on your map. The optional Honor story missions are as follows:

We Loved Once and True I to III - Unlocked in Chapter 2 through natural progression

Good, Honest, Snake Oil - Unlocked in Chapter 2 through natural progression
Your last chance to do this is in Chapter 6

Money Lending and Other Sins I to III - Unlocked in Chapter 2 through natural progression
Money Lending and Other Sins IV - Optional Loansharking missions available from Strauss starting in Chapter 3
Money Lending and Other Sins V - Optional Loansharking missions available from Strauss starting in Chapter 4
Money Lending and Other Sins VI & VII - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Parts VI & VII are time-sensitive, and unlocked by talking to Strauss at the new camp.

The Course of True Love I to III - Unlocked in Chapter 3
The Course of True Love IV & V - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Parts IV & V are time-sensitive. Part IV is started by reading the letter next to your bed at the new camp.

Help a Brother Out - Unlocked in Chapter 4
Available in Saint Denis after completing the first mission of Chapter 4. Talk to the Stranger (Brother Dorkins) near the market by the trapper to start this mission. Donate to the poor when possible. Save the captives to complete the mission.
Brothers and Sisters, One and All - Must be completed during Chapter 4; 1 in-game hour after completing Help a Brother Out

Of Men and Angels I & II - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Only available if you've completed Brothers and Sisters, One and All back in Chapter 4, and this is time sensitive, and can only be done near night time. Available by talking to "Sister Calderon" in Saint Denis outside the church during Chapter 6. Awarded by donating money to her. Must be done before mission "The Fine Art Of Conversation".

Fatherhood and Other Dreams I & II - Unlocked in Chapter 4
This is started by reading the letter in your room at the new camp. Must be done during Chapter 4.

Do Not Seek Absolution I & II - Unlocked in Chapter 5 or 6
Both parts are only available if you have high honor, and are both time-sensitive. Available by talking to "ED" in Annesburg from the start of Chapter 6.

Archaeology for Beginners - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Talk to "RS" to start "A Rage Unleashed" part way through Chapter 6. Agree to help Rains Fall during this mission to continue down the optional honor path and start this.
Honor, Amongst Thieves - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Only available if you agree to help Monroe in the Chapter 6 mission "Archaeology for Beginners"

Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow - I & II - Unlocked in Chapter 6
Part II is mandatory if you agree to help Sadie in Part I. This mission becomes available near the end of Chapter 6, and gets put on your map when there is only 1 other active mission available. Must be done before "My Last Boy".

NOTE: In the current patch (1.02), you can replay the mission Home Improvement for Beginners from the Epilogue, and the achievement will instantly unlock.

Yes, always check for the white circles in the map. White circle missions are time-sensitive missions.

@BiLLzuMaNaTi, it will only show up after you complete a few missions in Chapter 2. Believe it is locked behind Paying a Social Call & Money Lending and Other Sins I & II. You can't really miss this one.

@Maka91, yes I did. Mission started after reading the letter in the camp and finished at the train station. In Arthur's journal, there's only "We Loved Once and True III" marked as finished. So I assume that I and II are some kind of "chapters" of the mission.

The same with "Money Lending and Other Sins I to V". Got finished only "Money Lending and Other Sins III" but I collected dept from 4 characters.

Yeah, you can only earn 1 medal per quest line, so they show up as 1 entry into the Progress Journal.

I'm playing Chapter 3 and completed all 5 first mission of Money Lending and Other Sins but my progress only show completion until III, any ideas if is it normal (btw I added the debts to the box)

If you look on Powerpyx’s official list of missions, the only Money Lending and Other Sins mission that shows up is #3. So I think it’s supposed to be the way that it is. It must not be regarded as an actual mission so it doesn’t show up under progress.

This achievement is driving me insane. I played every available mission from chapter 1-4 and the achievement tracker is still at 20%! I play 5 of them I think. Shouldn’t the tracker be at 25-30% by now? At what point dose it go up? After every mission?

I guess the last mission in the chain adds to the percentage. Since some of them are just mission-intros.
e.g.: We Loved Once and True I to III
I is reading the letter
II is talking to the girl
and III is the "real" mission.

I didn't do the archeology ones in chapter 6 but did the rest including giving money in saint denis for construction, it popped when i completed the game.

How do I tell if money lending and other sins part IV is done, I collected the debts from the 2 people and turned them in to the box at camp but when I talk to Strauss there is no acknowledgement that its done and the tracker didn't go up

Also like to add that a mission in Chapter 6 Of Men and Angels (I, II) – Quest Giver: SC (in Saint Denis, talk to Sister Calderon at Church, where the letter “E” of Saint Denis is on map. Only available if you completed ‘Brothers and Sisters, One and All’)

Its you giving a nun some money near the church.

My friend *Credit* to Adamdown found this. As he got the achievement.

Its very missable and seems very time restrictive.

Make sure to follow Makas or Powerpyx guide for all the honor missions. Just dont forget to not miss the Nun mission like I did

Hey @Rickydown, I've added this information to the guide. Sorry you missed it. It doesn't seem like this is listed as an Honor mission in the game, and not sure how the tracking %age works, since this puts our total to 11 missions and the achievement tracks in increments of 10%. Will try to add more info when possible.

@Maka91 Its all good, I got the achievement now. Im sure "Of men and Angels" is a stack with one of the missions from chapter 4. Idk which one though. Its very hidden and doesnt seem to be a real real mission like the others. Very easy to miss and to keep track of.

All missions are counted and turn to a screen capture once complete in your game. Simply don't complete the chapter until you have all but the last mission ticked off.

Just wanted to point out (so hopefully others can avoid the mistake that I had) that We Loved Once and True III is missable if you’re not careful.

When you go to the house, it gives you the option to agree to help Mary and if you say no (or if you’re like me and wasn’t paying attention during the cutscene and missed your chance to answer her) and she shuts the door in your face and while you’ll be able to continue progressing through the story, you’ve missed your chance to finish the mission and you’ll either have to reload a save file or start a new game.

Side note: now I know not to eat my lunch during cutscenes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I brought the boy to the train station... in We Loved Once and True I to III. (also in story line is said completed )
And I completed Good, Honest, Snake Oil. And Money lending I to III (these 2 showing up in social club. ) We love once true isn't! Also my tracker is still 10% :(

I just got this achievement and I was stuck at 90% on my progress bar. After I finished the epilogue this achievement unlocked as well. If you think you have done them all but 1 short, then try finishing the epilogue and i hope it unlocks for you too.

@Paul Doyle, you can't miss it. It'll give you an on-screen notice that a letter is waiting for you a few missions in. A large yellow icon will also show up on the map.

So, I finished the game and didn’t get the achievement. Of angels and men seems to be locked after a certain point because I can’t find the nun at the church. Does anyone know if she doesn’t show up because of the balloon ride? I have also done the other quests from chapter 4 that were pre reqs.

The tracker in chapter 4 only moves from 20 to 40 % after reading the letter and doing the Fatherhood I & II quest.

You do not need to get Of Men & Angels II for the lending a hand achievement. I just unlocked the achievement without it. If you do want to see the nun again avoid the Josiah Trelawny mission in chapter 6. You end up going to a truce meeting with the colonel and rain falls and at the end of this mission the nun leaves for Mexico on a train.

Hey guys i have some problems with the money lending and other sins Part 5. I've complete the forth one talked to strauss to get the 5th in chapter 4 everthing went fine but when i check my map it still shows the 2 from Part 4 with a lock on it sometimes they disapear but the always come back with the lock

I think it was already mentioned before but:

You don't have an entry for every mission in the list, only for those you can get a medal.

So most of the Money Lending and Other Sins quests are not listed or other quests like The Course of True Love Part I, because that is just a cutscene.

Dont know if its happened to anyone else but figured out y previous post. The mission not showing at rhodes is a strauss mission that i did in chap IV. I have 3 Strauss missions that randomly appear on the map that are locked but they are previous characters i have taken debts from.

Question? I'm on Chapter 4 and on the last mission before going to Chapter 5. I'm sure I have finished all Money and Lending missions up to number V. But I sometimes have a white $ sign in Rhodes and one outside Valentine. They are grayed out and have a lock on them and say I have crimes on me and can not do at this time. But I have no crimes. I don't know if I should proceed to Chapter 5 ?? Help please. These show up every now and then and disappear again?? I'm at 40% on the achev tracker.

For those unlocking it in the Epilogue, what happened was that you donated money to someone who was fundraising in order to fund a building in Saint Denis. The building becomes "complete" at the end of the game, and can count towards this achievement.

Don't do the Dutch one and you can go ahead and do missions Do Not seek Absolution Edith Downes in Annesburg and also did Of Men and Angels.. gave the sister some money in front of the church. My achev tracker is at 60% and I haven't started Chapter 6 yet.

I never completed "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" and my tracker stayed 90% at end of game, but after completing prologue, "Lending Hand" popped exactly same time as "Endless Summer". Maybe last mission is counted too, after all it was pretty fat with honorable actions.

Because I'm in chapter four and all I'm doing is running around exploring and hunting? Not really paying attention to the main story missions but doing some side quests as well. Social club is not to be trusted.
I am on Chapter 4 and did all 17 missions on chapter 3, but social club says I only did 13/17
Missing: The New South, An Honest Mistake, The Course of True Love Ii and IIi.
Even stupider is that I have not only definitely cleared them, I got gold on all four of those.

Can anyone confirm if that trick Bomb 2 chest posted is true? It sure would be a relief if it was that easy to unlock this.

Money Lending and Other Sins V is glitched for me:
I was only given one debtor to visit and I think that was it for the mission log clear.
After playing for more hours, I can sometimes randomly see the icons for the other two debtors, but are REALLY glitchy. They will appear on the map, then disappear later.
I can't start the missions as they stay permanently locked too. Says "($) is unavailable due to your recent crimes. Return at a later time." I can't do anything to unglitch them.

We Loved Once and True starts with you getting a note at camp also the game doesn't state when you start part 2 & 3 instead it feels like one mission.

So a friend and myself did some testing. He was at 70% for the achievement and did the trick I posted but his progress went only up by 20%. Another guy posted on powerpyx guide about replaying Fatherhood and Other Dreams II in chapter 4. I had my friend try that out and his achievement popped. It looks like certain missions are giving a weird amount of progress towards the achievement.

For anyone who has tried replaying Home Improvement for Beginners from the Epilogue 2 and the achievement didn't pop try doing Fatherhood and Other Dreams II in chapter 4.

Worked for me as well, i was on 90%. I didnt even have to complete the mission, after pulling down the house i pressed start to check the gold requirements and it sent me back to the present and unlocked the achievement. Thought i'd post that to save everyone a bit of time, i guess it would work for fatherhood and other dreams as well.

I completed Money Lending and Other Sins (IV) in chapter 3 and it never counted as completed... all the debtors have been collected and paid to the till but it never counted in my missions or my achievement progress.

I completed ''Of Men and Angels I & II'' in chapter 5. I checked my tracker for achievement and sure enough, it went up after completing. So I think this mission does count towards the achievement.

Don’t usually leave comments on here but I just wanted to say that replaying the “Home Improvement For Beginners” trick worked for me as of the 3rd of April, so nothing has been patched yet. I too was stuck on 90% right up until the end of the game and as soon as I finished the mission I chose to replay it, and as soon as I finished it popped up.

For all games made by rockstar you always have to do it all on one save and if progress doesn't update getting more progress towards the achievement will make it correct itself. If that doesn't work usually coming back the next day and getting progress towards it will make it correct itself.

Crazy thing, I tried the glitch and it didn’t work. I replayed the honor mission in saint denis and it still didn’t work. I was just playing a stranger mission and died, then reloaded the checkpoint and the achievement popped. That’s really random and strange. If it doesn’t pop from the glitch, try to do a mission and die then reload the checkpoint.

Why is We loved once and true listed as natural progression? My daughter is in chapter 4 and does not have this mission as completed. Do you fail if the kid dies? Or after reading the letter, is it possible to ignore Mary and progress. If so, Solution needs to be edited.

I just finished chapter 6. The angels mission never showed up, but I distinctively remember helping the nun before getting the new camp. I think I did it while I was in the temporary camp in the swamp. Cheevo popped after the second widow mission. And the angels mission is not listed in the completed list.

Update! If you go to Progress, then replay the mission you missed (I didn’t do Fatherhood And Other Dreams because I told Mary I wouldn’t help her by accident), then the achievement pops the minute it starts. That is the ultimate workaround to fix this achievement. I sent Rockstar the info so they can start telling anyone who has lost this achievement.

The glitch with "Home Improvement" still works.
For me it didnt wokred by doing it with cutscenes. Once I skipped cutscenes and did it under 19 secounds it poped.
Also, I loaded a savefile that had not replayed "Home Improvement" on befor.

I think the mission "Money Lending and Other Sins" may be somehow glitched. I finished parts I-III in chapter 2, part IV in chapter 3 and part V in chapter 4. Only part III is in my log. But the most important is, that in chapter 4, during mission when you have to collect 5 bounty posters of Mr. Black and Mr. White, the grey question mark appeared in Rhodes suggesting me that I should collect loan from the grave man (part IV of this mission which has been finished earlier). This question mark was locked with information that I can't play it right now because of my crime level (I didn’t have any bounties on my head). Once I finished the mission with posters, the question mark disappeared.

Still, according to R* Socialclub mission progress, I finished all of them in chapters 1-3.

If I see "The Course of True Love II" in the mission list and I received a medal for it... Does that mean that "The Course of True Love I" is also finished?

I ask, because I can see an entry for "The Course of True Love II" and "The Course of True Love III" in the mission list, but there is no entry for "The Course of True Love I".

This is more confusing than it should be. Should have just had a seperate tab called "Honor Story Missions" were ALL missions are listed and not just some parts. It's bad enough that these are missable, but to make them even harder, by not properly listing them, is just sad...

Edit: I have done "Money Lending and Other Sins IV & V" and those are not even listed anywhere. Where do I find the entries for them?

Just for clarification: Official guide lists Money lending missions as follows
1-3 in Ch. 2
4 in Ch. 3
5 in Ch. 4
6-7 in Ch. 6
both guys from Ch. 3 (mission 4) can be done in Ch. 4 (mission 5). But i don't know if you have to do them both or at least one in Ch. 3 or if you can skip them until Ch. 4 for the achievement.

Yeah, I have the same issue now with previous "Money Lending and Other Sins" missions re-appearing on the map, while being locked. Plus, Part IV and V are still nowhere to be found in any of the Mission Lists and I'm 100% sure that I completed them. Again... why can't you just list all the missions properly, Rockstar?

To view your completed missions that don't pop up on the social club, you need to open up your log and scroll down your tasks (tap left on the D-pad to open). It's the only way I've found to see if you've completed some honor missions such as "Of Man and Angels II" and "Money Lending and Other Sins - VII"

[*Note: In Patch 1.02 there is a lucky way to “cheat” the trophy if you missed it: After beating the story, replay the mission “Home Improvement for Beginners” (Epilogue) and the trophy unlocks instantly (regardless of how many honor missions you missed). I could use some feedback here. I got to the end of the game and realized after not paying attention that "The Course of True Love IV & V" was time sensitive and was still in my Tasks after not completing it. I was at 90% of the achievement, so by looking at the 10 above, math would tell me its the only one that was missing.

I fired up an older save that started at Chapter 6 and finished up "The Course of True Love IV & V". But no achievement popped. From reading others comments here, do I need to play through and finish up the Epilogue even though I have completed the other 9 in another save?

Same Majima, I did all the Money Lending missions. But only Part III, from Ch.2 was listed. However I did still get the achievement after the last mission for Sadie. Which btw, is one of the best missions in the game!!!

I got this, but what a chore. I don't know why on Earth developers add things like this. The game doesn't tell you what missions are required, the game doesn't tell you that these can be completely missed by just playing the game normally, the game does not track the achievement individually and it doesn't let you replay any of the missions you missed to mop up. Any player that wants to complete everything has no choice but to look it up first, reading inevitable spoilers and gameplay details that'd otherwise be fun, all whilst incessentally manual saving just in case.

Does "Money lending and other sins V" has to appear only during chapter 4? Or can it appear later, during chapter 5 or 6 for instance?

I am on the verge to finish chapter 4 and it still isn't appearing on my map. I am sure I did the "Money lending and other sins IV", however, I didn't give the debts back at camp right away. I guess I forgot about it but I probably did it sometime later in Chapter 3. For sure I did the mission, and my tracker is at 40%.
I read somewhere that it appeared during Chapter 6 to someone's game..
Anyone knows or remember about this?

I completed all story optional missions in chapter 4 (according this guide http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-trophy-guide-r...) but my achievement tracker progress stopped at 40% not 50%.

My first guess is my tracker glitched.

And the second my guess is maybe the missions: Help a Brother Out & Brothers and Sisters, One and All are also grouped together? Because my achievement tracker increased by 20% ( first 10% when i started Fatherhood and Other Dreams (I) and then 10% when I finished Fatherhood and Other Dreams (II)) during the story line mission Fatherhood and Other Dreams (I, II) which was last optional mission for me in chapter 4.

Also, maybe the missions Archeology For Beginners and Honor, Amongst Thieves are separate story lines? Because according this guide http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-trophy-guide-r... the quest givers are different: RF and CM
So maybe the achievement tracker counts it as 2x10%?

And the tracker progress could be:
Chapter 2 - 20%
Chapter 3 - 20%
Chapter 4 - 40%
Chapter 5 - 40%
Chapter 6 - 100%

Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.

This trophy requires you to do ALL optional (=missable) story missions in one playthrough! This includes the debt collecting quests. All of these are quests that you don’t have to do to advance the story, thus they are easy to miss. Some of them are marked with yellow main mission markers, others with white Stranger Mission markers. However, what differentiates them from Stranger Missions is that the “Optional Story Missions” get added to your mission log (Pause Menu > Progress > Story). The “real” Stranger Missions aren’t needed for it.

It’s worth noting that after beating the story you unlock all of these missions in the Story Log and can replay them for medals but that does NOT unlock the trophy! You have to do them in a normal playthrough, it doesn’t count via replay.

Now I get it... The achievement tracker doesnt jump up until a "quest chain" is completed. So having 40% all the way into chapter 6 is normal. Then as you completes chains with the final missions it starts to go up!

One thing I noticed is that when I manually saved after "Of Men and Angels" the name of the save file was "Of Men and Angels - I" instead of "II", which I thought might mean something had glitched or I'd messed up somehow, but the achievement did unlock after I finished them all.

Manual saves are your best friends. NEVER trust in automatic saves from this game. I let the option active, but, always made manual saves before and after every mission, sidequest, random events, collectible items, etc.

There's a glitch associated with this achievement and as of January 11th, 2019, you can unlock it by replaying the mission "Home Improvement for Beginners", which is in the "Epilogue - Part 2" chapter. Simply replaying the mission, which lasts less than one minute, will unlock the achievement once you're back into free roam. Credit goes to YouTuber NickMottz, whose video you can watch below:

I had missed only one of the required missions, but was too bored to do it and then the rest of them again, since the achievement requires all of them to be completed on the same save. Did what the video demonstrates and the achievement popped!

For the record, having tried both methods of doing "Home Improvement" and "Fatherhood Part 2", and not having the "Joshua Brown" bounty availablke anymore, I read a comment of someone saying they got the achievement by dying in a Stranger Mission.

I went to do the only mission I had available "The Wisdom of the Elders II", I threw 2 dinamites on the floor and retried checkpoint... After a cojple of seconds, achievement popped!

And of fucking course Trelawney icon was blinking like it had to be done right away or else. For fucks sake Rockstar. Anyways, Glad I'll be able to get the achievement now.

If you can't get this to work here's what I had to do:
-Sign in to Rockstar and look at your mission list. I found out that I missed a mission (for me it was "Good Honest Snake Oil").
-Make a save beforehand, just in case you want to try and experiment a bit on getting it to unlock.
-Select the missing mission(s) from Replay and replay it(them) if you can.
-Go into a Bounty Hunting quest or any Stranger mission, then die.

I know I missed several of Strauss's missions and still got it so as long as you can replay your missing mission, this might work.

If you are like me and already finished the game but really dont want to replay the whole thing again just bcs of this one trophy, try this ,,glitch,, it worked flawlessly for me yesterday:

1. Replay all the optional story missions you missed using the Replay Feauture (once you finished the epilogs you get access to the missions you missed, look up what missions those are using the Rockstar Social Club Compendium)

2. Complete a random Bounty Mission (only neccessary if you didn't play any bounty missions before, otherwise skip ahead to 3)

3. Head to Strawberry inside the Sherif's Office there will be a Bounty Poster (Joshua Brown) but make sure you made a save before you picked it up, bcs i heard that this glitch isn't working always on the first time, for me it did though, after saving take that poster and head to the location marked on the Map to catch Joshua Brown

4. Finally when you reach the Mineshaft where Joshua Brown is you will trigger a duel, make sure that you FAIL your first try and afterwards select Reload Checkpoint / as soon as you are back in Action this is the point where the LENDING A HAND trophy pops, now if it doesn't pop for you try failing a few times more and if it still isn't popping reload the save you made previously and try again from there.

To unlock the Lending a Hand trophy in Red Dead Redemption 2, you must fully complete all of the missions in the game that give Arthur a chance to be honourable. Play honourably: you need to have Honor level 4 (average) at least in order to be able to access Chapter 6 mission "Do Not Seek Absolution". There's a set list of missions that the game defines as part of this trophy, listed below.

Well. Maybe this one is not a real solution for the game, but I know it works.

There is a glitch which helps if you missed any of the missions (like I did) during the story.

If you finished the story, simply replay "Home Improvement for Beginners" mission from Epilogue Part 2 and a trophy should unlock after the mission, when you come back to free roam.

Glitch works with the newest PSN/PS4 update (probably 7.0, updated today, on Tuesday 08 October 2019) and the newest RDR2 update (game version 1207.20).

Like I said, I just unlocked it today and it works.
