How to unlock the Best in the West achievement in Red Dead Redemption 2 - Definitive Guide

Welcome to the Red Dead Redemption 2 guide on how to obtain 100% completion! This guide is based on information found in the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collectors Guide which makes it much easier to get straight to the point with this. The following guide will be broken up into two sections with the first being the actual objectives themselves as they're seen in the Completion tab and the solutions on how to complete the objectives.

Please note that this is still a work in progress with Video and Texts guides for certain sections still being written up. If you have any questions until then, feel free to drop a comment and I'll give you some assistance.

First, I'll list all the requirements here then I will list their solutions afterward.

Solutions

Complete all 107 story missions required to finish the story - You will be required to complete all 107 story missions across all 8 of RDR2's story chapters. In the spoiler below, you'll find the unlock requirements for some of these along with all mission names.

Complete 10 stranger mission strands. - During the course of the game, you'll come across characters called "Strangers" who will show up on the map as white '?' symbols. These people will appear over the course of the game and as far as I've experienced, many can be saved until the epilogue of the game if you miss them. Here is a list of all stranger missions (excluding collectibles which will be shown later):

Complete five bounty hunter missions - You can only do these missions after completing the time-sensitive mission called "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" which is available from chapter 2 until the end of chapter 5. Here is a video Guide:
Lindsey Wofford - Complete "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" in chapter 2 and her poster will be found inside Saint-Denis police station. Here is a video guide:
Ellie Anne Swan - Complete "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" in chapter 2 and her poster will be found inside Valentine's Sheriff Station. Here is a video guide:
Joshua Brown - Complete "Blessed Are The Meek?" story mission in chapter 2 and wait until Strawberry is no longer under lockdown. You can find his poster in Strawberry Jail.
Robbie Laidlaw - Complete "The Joys of Civilization" story mission in chapter 4 and his poster will be in Rhodes train station.
Anthony Foreman - Complete "Gainful Employment" During the first epilogue and is only accessible if you did not kill him during the end of chapter 4's "No, No, Thrice, No" story mission.
Otis Skinner - Complete "Gainful Employment" During the first epilogue and his poster can be found at Blackwater Police Station.
Elias Green - Complete "Gainful Employment" During the first epilogue and his poster can be found at Black Water Police Station.
Joaquin Arroyo - Complete "Gainful Employment" During the first epilogue and witness the "Del Lobo Execution" chance encounter in Tumbleweed. His poster can be found in the Tumbleweed jail.
Esteban Cortez - Complete "Gainful Employment" During the first epilogue and witness the "Del Lobo Execution" chance encounter in Tumbleweed. His poster can be found in the Tumbleweed jail.

Have 25 Chance Encounters - These can be found all over RDR2's map as little grey blimps that pop up with usually a random character calling for help or speaking directly to you. This will come naturally during your adventure if you stop to help people.

Survive a Gang Ambush - During your time in RDR2, you are most likely going to be ambushed by one of games 7 gangs. These will most of the time happen while you're casually riding along the dirt roads and you'll know if you've encountered a gang (especially O'Driscal ambush) if they mention Dutch by name. There will usually be 4-6 other gang members around them as they hold you at gunpoint. DO NOT FIGHT THEM ON YOUR HORSE.

Compelte all Gang Hideouts - There are 7 gang hideouts in RDR2 and can be found at the following locations:
Beaver Hollow - West of Annesburg.
Six Point Cabin - Under the U of Cumberland Forest.
Hanging Dog Ranch - North of the E for West Elizabeth's west.
Shady Belle - Southwest of Saint-Denis, between Saint-Denis and Rhodes.
Thieves Landing - A Town to the east of McFarlane's Ranch.
Twin Rocks - Northwest of Armadillo in Austin.
Fort Mercer - In the Rio Bravo area of Austin (Where the first game started).

Find one point of interest - These points of interest are known as sketchable sites and will usually be put on your map once you find them. Until I create a map for this, I will simply place a video below for "Strange Statues" which is a sketch you can find in a hidden cave.

Find the Nine Graves of your fallen companions - This can only be done after completing Chapter 6. You must find 9 graves of fallen companions that you have lost during the game. Be warned, this video will contain spoilers naturally.

Collect a Complete Card Set of cigarette cards. - You can actually get all 144 cards in the span of 10 minutes if you so wish. You can do it easily if you have the Legend of The East Satchel which lets you buy 99 of any item in the game. You can craft it at Pearson's Camp Spot or wait until the epilogue and buy it from a Fence, either way, you're gonna need at least $2000. Here is a video guide below showing how to do this method.

Complete "A Test of Faith" - This mission can be started as early as Chapter 2 on the road between the first camp of the game and Flatneck Station. You'll need to travel all over the game's map and find 30 dinosaur bones for this women. You Won't be able to complete this however until the epilogue (unless you can survive the trip through black water) so spoilers ahead for the following video.

Complete "A Fisher of Fish" - Guide Coming Soon

Complete "Duchesses and Other Animals" - Guide Coming Soon

Complete "Geology for Beginners" - Geology for Beginners is a collectible side quest which can be started by speaking with a stranger named Francis from chapter 2 onwards. He can be found just north of the town Strawberry and will ask that you find the 10 stone carvings across the map. Here is a video guide:

Complete "A Better World, A New Friend" - Oh god, where to even start with this one. You'll need to complete 5 hunting request by interacting with posters inside train stations that don't have any markers on the map. You'll then need to hunt down a ton of smaller animals such as birds, rats, chipmunks, etc. with some taking as long as 6 hours to spawn.... Then after that, you need to wait multiple days and hunt a squirrel in 6 different locations. Overall this can take up to 20ish hours to complete. Here is a video guide:

Complete a treasure hunt chain - Red Dead Redemption features 4 treasure hunt chains for you to complete. You will only need 1 for this, however, all of them can be started during Chapter 2.
The first Treasure Hunt is The Jack Hall Gang and is started by speaking with a 'Stranger' north of Flatneck Station. Refuse to buy the map from him for $10 and he will sell it to you for $5. Here is a video guide on the locations:

The second Treasure Hunt is The Poisonous Trail and is started by finding the map under a bed up in the snowy region of Cairn Lake. It's important to note that this Treasure Map is the only one never given in-game by an NPC. Here is a video guide on the locations:

The third Treasure Hunt is High Stakes which can actually be done in Chapter 2 before the last mission. You'll find this map in several locations on a man who's talking to himself and will startle upon you showing up and quickly try to run away. Kill him and take the map from his body. Here is a video guide on the locations:

The final Treasure Hunt is the Pre-Order Exclusive "Les Tresor Des Morts" map. You can ONLY get this treasure map by pre-ordering the digital versions of RDR2 before August 15th, 2018. Physical editions do not come with it and I've yet to hear of anyone who has a physical version doing this. You can start it by searching the jail cell in the Burned Down Town just north of Flatneck Station by a dead body. Here is a video guide on the locations:

Collect all 20 dreamcatchers - There are 20 dreamcatchers all over the upper regions of RDR2 and can be collected as early as Chapter 2. If you're someone who enjoys hunting then this is something you should do ASAP as it will unlock the Ancient Arrowhead which will make your stamina when drawing back a bow last twice as long. Here is a video guide to all dreamcatchers in the best order to grab them:

Discover 50 animals by studying them - There are well over 110 animals in RDR2 so when you see an animal in the wild, sneak up on it and hold the button that you use to speak to people then hold LB to study it. Click the spoiler link for a complete list:

Discover 10 equipment items - Complete list coming soon

Discover 10 fish species - Comeplete list coming soon

Discover 10 horse breeds - Complete list coming soon

Discover 20 plant species - Complete list coming soon

Discover 48 weapons - Due to the spoiler-filled nature of some of these weapons, I'm going to list them all in the spoiler tab below. There are 59 weapons that can be found in RDR2 with a few being missable.

This guide is still a work in progress.

I am not sure on that as of yet (Will notify you when I get through the epilogue).
It could be like GTA where missions pop up after the completion of the game for you to do because I doubt that they would lock you from 100% completion.

They are as the guidebook shows them. The issue is that a few missions overlap with each other so I can only list the more important ones first then list the special conditions.

Morons already voting negative for guides people are trying to piece together to help them get this achievement. Absolutely hilarious, worst part about it is it is probably little angry nobodies that never had a chance of getting this in the first place lol.

Yea Hexa Fox, I don't understand it. Both Maka and myself have been trying to get guides out for everything asap for the TA people and with a game so large and so much required to do, it's gonna take time.

Good guide.

I think it's missing two missions on Chapter 1:
Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall?
Eastward Bound

And I found this typos on Chapter 2:
The First Shall be Last (Availableble 2 hours later after Americans At Rest)
We Loced Once And True I (READ THE NOTE AT DUTCH'S CAMP AFTER PREVIOUS MISSION, HIGHLY MISSABLE)

The first Red Dead Redemption had a couple strangers that you could only encounter before finishing the game. They didn't count towards 100%; hopefully that's the case here.

This may be missable, since Master Hunter Challenge 10 is kill the legendary panther. If you kill it before maybe cause the challenge uncompleted (?).

For those who struggle with gambler #9 (win 3 dominos in a row)
I found it was much easier with Domino block game (found in Camp chapter 2) make sure to place high numbers first and leave as much possibilities open as possible

Yeah i found out on Socialclub that the only mission i was missing was Pouring Forth Oil II and it was not part of the missables missions in powerpyx guide i was checking at the same time. So i suppose I won't be able to 100%. Anyway, if someone found out, please post it. Thanks

Weird that this one is optional, but don't count in the optional missions...

That would seem the case PouncingTiger. There are 50 weapons in RDR2's guidebook, 1 requires that you play a quest in GTA 5 and the other is just your fists (which I'm not certain on if this counts or not) but remove those 2 and you have 48 left. Weapons will despawn and not be able to be picked up afterward. I will be working on this guide again tomorrow when I wake up since I've now reached the game's epilogue myself so I'll be able to give more details.

If you miss missions they are available after you complete the chapter. There are more than enough weapons to get this without getting the missable weapons. I have no idea why this is being preemptively marked as missable. This is absolutely not missable. The guide covers the 5 missable achievements in the game: Friends with Benefits, Errand Boy, Breaking and Entering, Give to the Poor, and Lending a Hand are the only 5 missables in this game.

By ReptarOnIce3000 on 06 Nov 2018 18:52
Because I was basing it off the guidebook saying that there are 50 weapons in the game, not 59. So by what I had seen when writing this in the guidebook, it would be missable.

Some stranger missions started before the epilogue you can't actually finish during or after the epilogue, for reasons I cannot discuss, which may add to why this is missable.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but you can study animals from a distance using the binoculars. Saves a lot of sneaking around for them to catch you last minute.

PEOPLE OF TA! I have discovered that the "missable and 100% critical" missions CAN be replayed in the replay menu after you've completed the game! As for Strangers, you only need to complete 10 (Which is probably the amount of un-missable stranger missions. I have not yet come that far. I just "Replayed" "Good, Honest, Snake Oil" which I know I had never played. I can now access the Bounty hunting missions without any problems!

Some Achievements still seems to be missable tho but as long as you make some saves, you should be fine. Happy 100%-ing!

im level 8/8 with all three stats but its not showing as completed...any idea?

maybe you add this :-)

That is correct - every challenge must be fully completed. Each challenge has 10 levels so 10*9 = 90 tasks total. Easily the most tedious part of 100% completion as some of these tasks are a pain.

Theres an awful lot of "missable" story missions, does this mean the achievement is missable?
0
0
By MushaConvoy on 17 Nov 2018 02:42
No, missing the optional story missions will not affect 100% completion. I've read that you'll get a check on your in-game list after you complete the epilogue no matter how many optional missions you miss. You may miss out on the "Lending a Hand" achievement though. The only thing people were unsure about were the bounties, but now several people have confirmed that you can do them in the postgame if you miss the mission to unlock them during the story. So this achievement is not missable.

A friend told me that I am apparently missing "Do Not Seek Absolution II" on my Social Club page.

But I have definitely done that mission, I have the Lending A Hand achievement and it was one of the missions required for that.

Does anyone know if I will be able to replay that mission once I complete the Epilogues?

this game has glitched on me twice. first time in chapter 4 i couldn't get any companion activities to spawn at any point in the chapter at all, couldn't get a single thing to spawn and had to restart the game, clear 45 missions just for one single companion activity.

and now this most recent glitch has prevented me from getting 100% completion by not giving me the final hunting request. i've finished the 4th request, sent the mail received my money, but didn't reice any further quest. so fucking wasted my time there too.

i cba with the multiplayer, so gunna just sell this piece of shit i think.

For Gambler 9, you have to win 3 dominoes games in a row. If you feel like you are about to lose, then just leave the table and sit back down. simple as that.
0
0
By AbsoIuteZero x on 21 Nov 2018 18:58
@JakThaRiPP3R84 I believe I read somewhere that for the hunting requests that they may glitch on you if you have the pelt required for the next quest already in your inventory when you finish the prior one. I don't know of any fix or workaround though. It's possible that Rockstar might patch this particular bug so I would hold on to your save just in case.

I'm confused about rank 5 of the Survivalist challenge. Looking at the in game log it says catch a fish from a boat, but looking at PowerPyx's guide it says catch a fish from a riverboat in the bayou. So which is it as I stole a canoe or whatever it was in the Bayou and caught a few fish, threw one back and kept one but it didn't count.

edit: nevermind I got it to count when I was returning from the prison area after getting the legendary catfish, found a spot close to shore and caught one that counted for it

Holy shit Gambler 8 is pure cancer. Spend hours to not go bust on 3 hits and then still lose anyway, and you need 3 wins... this game is getting worse the more you play. Pretty graphics and nice voice acting can't save the dozen of gamebreaking bugs, a dozen more annoying gameplay issues and shit controls. Literally pure trash. Gambler 9 is gonna be fun as well with the random dominoes.... fuck man :(

By Sera Di Siah on 22 Nov 2018 18:37
Well, all I can say for certain is that I have done many random robberies of all kinds and nothing. It was only when I did a stagecoach from the Strawberry tip, and a rumor about the doctor in Valentine that I was getting progress toward robberies so I will say that it is quite possible that you need to hear rumors/tips on them
0
0
By Chaze on 24 Nov 2018 00:14
I am certain you are correct on that point about at least some of the robberies. Powerpyx's guide specifically says that you need a tip for the stagecoach robbery to count. For a store robbery I got the robbery in Rhodes where you rescue the guy from the cellar to count as my store robbery on the tracker. I got a random home robbery to count as well when I was going for the "Breaking and Entering" achievement. You can get tips or go on mini home robbery missions with your companions from your camp so I would try that if you can't get it to count on your own. I haven't attempted a train robbery yet so I can't really comment on that yet.

I'm confused about the 107 story missions -- This list includes many cut-scene/setup & stranger missions that don't actually count toward the 107. From what I can tell, if you can't replay a mission & there are no medal requirements, it doesn't count toward the 107.

However, no matter how I count up the "real" Story missions I can't get past 105. Is there a definitive list of the *EXACTLY* 107 missions that count toward the achievement?

Does anyone know where to find a Five Finger Filet game that you can play against another opponent when you are playing the Epilogue? I forgot to play some as Arthur in order to win 3 games for the gambling challenge and now the only one I've found playing as John is the solo one in Valentine. Also where is a good spot to get the 3 enemies with throwing knife kills in 10 secs?

To fully max out your skills I believe you need to complete all of the challenges and purchase all of the reinforced equipment from the trapper that you unlock when completing them.

@wolfzero01 I'm not anywhere near completing the story but there's a location in Strawberry, maybe try there? As for the throwing knife challenge, I haven't done that one yet but I've been using Hanging Dog Ranch for the combat related challenges that I've done so far.

@wolfzero01 for the Knife Throwing Kills - I used the KKK Group near Valentine. Got about 4 of them in well under 10 seconds because they are all just standing there.

They definitely respawn, but not in the same location.

I found them a second time but can't quite remember where.

Might be able to google it or youtube it to find out.

I have done a Home Robbery, a Shop Robbery, a Coach Robbery and a Train Robbery several times now and for some reason I'm still stuck at 3/4. Does anyone know a workarround?

It's my last entry in the Miscellaneous section and I really have no clue what to do.

It could potentially be the coach robbery - for it to count on the tracker you have to get a tip from the post office in either Rhodes or Strawberry and steal that coach. You then have to take it to the wagon fence. If you already did this then I would probably just try other robberies until something works.

protip for gambler challenge 10. if you replay the riverboat mission, the two rigged hands count toward your streak. then manual save outside flatneck station, go all in on the first hand, and reload until you win

protip for herbs and exotics: look for items at night. things glow in eagle eye and they are much easier to spot when the surroundings are dark/contrasting

For Survivalist challenge 10, can you just use the special spinner for all fish or do you have to use the other baits like cheese or bread? Cant really find an answer to that question.

Edit: Nevermind, got it easily with the baits suggested in the guides.

Finally figured it out... I was missing a store robbery. You would think that robbing the cash register would count, but it doesn't, What they actually want you to do is triggering a special event robbery at the stores. I did the one in Rhodes at the Gun Store:

This should have been communicated better and there absolutely should have been a checklist instead of this "3 of 4 types of robberies done" nonsense.

Twin Rocks is not a hideout, I went there shot up everyone while noticing my honor going down. I go down to loot to find that they're strangers. It didn't add to my hideout tally either.

By CBrip31 on 13 Dec 2018 03:35
Twin Rocks is only a "hideout" if you own the Special Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game, otherwise I guess it's just another area on the map (I do have the Special Edition but I haven't made it that far in the game yet myself). I assume it counts on your tally if you have access to it as a hideout but either way there are others that you can complete.

By Lassiedelikker on 03 Jan 2019 12:10
Are you referring to the in-game compendium or the Social Club website? The in-game compendium is what you want to go by; the Social Club website has never tracked the weapons accurately for me for some reason. On your in-game 100% checklist it should tell you how many weapons you have out of 48 or it should be checked off if you have enough. If you have 54/59 you should be good.

I am concerned as my health / stamina / deadeye are all maxed out but it is not checked off but all are maxed out, or what i believe to be maxed out. I have even found and consumed the drinks which give you xp for the pop up bar to state it is maxed out?

Very worried it has glitched?

@Swyer87 You need to complete all 9 challenges and buy all the reinforced equipment at the trapper appropriate to the challenges in order to fully upgrade all 3 stats. Otherwise they will sit at level 8, which isn't the max level.

An EXTREMELY helpful tool I've been using during my quest to 100% is www.rdr2map.com. This site includes literally any collectible you could find and their locations on the map (includes legendary fish and animals, weapons, exotic flora, regular plants, gang hideout locations, all cigarette cards, and even loot locations and lots of other neat stuff). It's very helpful and useful for checking off items as you go. It's slightly overwhelming at first but as you tinker with it and begin to check things off you will see how useful it can be. What I did was look at the site's map and mark as many locations as it would let me on the in-game map, and then let my horse trot in the cinematic camera to each location while I busied myself with studies. I advise pulling up the videos for the rock carvings, dreamcatchers, and dinosaur bones and trying to go across the map in one sweep without having to double back so it won't take as long. That's just me though. *WARNING HERE* PowerPyx's youtube guides for the rock carvings, dinosaur bones, and dreamcatchers contain a spoiler I wish I hadn't found out.

For anyone struggling with the hunting requests I found a pretty decent Reddit post for all 5 of them:
https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/9vym21/s.... If you're new to RDR2 don't bother with those until you have the varmint rifle. My advice is 1: seek out the buck trinket to help get perfect pelts and 2: to simply look for birds and small animals as you go, unless you just like hunting for long hours that much. I personally wrote them all out on an excel spreadsheet so I could keep up with them regardless of what request I was on and checked them off as I went.

If you're new to the game once you get to chapter 3 you should come across a swampland called "the bayou." There are certain birds that fly here that you need to collect plumes from (spoonbills, herons, and egrets) - I tell you this so you won't be like me and mistakenly sell what you've collected of them early on. PowerPyx has a fantastic guide for the locations of them, as well as the exotic flora also required for this objective: http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-all-exotics-lo.... I used this alongside the map I posted above. Once you get to chapter 4 you will find a stranger mission that unlocks this challenge (being vague to avoid spoilers). Edit: PowerPyx's guide shows general locations and can be slightly vague with some of them. I used this YouTube video to locate them. He shows each location, exactly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXInPhUaiUY.

Some of the weapons expert challenges are tough, I found this YouTube guide to be helpful for them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU0MqxA9hNI&t=29s. The same YouTuber has a guide for the sharpshooter challenges if you're stuck on any of those: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgKX2sUXXNE. For Herbalist 9 I used this site: https://levelskip.com/action-adventure/Red-Dead-Redemption-2.... For Gambler #8.. find yourself a movie or tv show to watch while occasionally glancing at the screen. You'll more than likely be there a while.

Side note to the challenges: your health, stamina, and dead eye won't max out until you do all 90 of the challenges and buy the appropriate reinforced gear at the trapper. Each set of 3 challenges completed/complete outfits bought will do something for either your health, stamina, or dead eye. You can see which equipment does what in the "reinforced equipment" menu at the bottom. Maxing these out is also required for 100%.

The hardest part of this is tiptoeing through the landmines of bugs in this game. I recommend never picking an orchid before herbalist 9 or the exotics mission. For anyone struggling with birds, generally just creeping down the river from horseshoe overlook to the railroad bridge worked for me.

Hello all.
I figured I would post in the comment section about why this guide remains unfinished. During the writing of this guide, I lost my father and at the same time, there was so much other content for video games that I was covering and it was an extremely stressful time. This guide was intended to be finished but I just forgot, I did not abandon it.

Considering I haven't played RDR2 for a while, I wouldn't even know where to pick up from to complete this guide. If you would like to contribute to what I have failed to complete then I would be more than happy to read your message, make some edits and add it to the guide with credit.

Again I apologize.

To anyone that still needs to do the legendary fish part, try and get your survivalist to level 9 first b/c all of the legendary fish count for both the legendary version and the regular version towards the challenge. I believe from comparing regular fish to the legendary checklist the only fish you have to catch for survivalist 10 that cant be legendary are the channel catfish, and the northern pike.

>!Red Dead Redemption 2 - Honor, Amongst Thieves!<

Missable Things:

The Rare rolling block rifle, belongs to a sniper in the mission “Magicians for Sport” during Chapter 3. He is located at the top of the Braithwaite barn. Once you kill the guy, the rifle will be marked on the mini map. Simply pick it up.

The 4 Gunsligers’ guns (Granger’s revolver/Midnight’s pistol/Flaco’s revolver/Calloway’s revolver). Linked to the side mission “the Noblest of Men, and a Woman”. Available in a saloon in Valentine, you will need to track 4 gunslingers. 3 of them will try to kill you and will drop a special weapon when gunned down. The final part of the side mission will only be available in chapter 4. You will have your final duel and get the last gun.

The Rare shotgun: owned by an hermit in a cabin north of Hannesburg. Kill him on sight, as he will kill you in one shot. Once killed, he will drop his weapon. Pick it up and save the game.

The ornate dagger. Property of a not-so-friendly vampire in Saint Denis. Follow a guide online to find 5 pieces of paper through st Denis. Your character will then pinpoint the location of the vampire. Save the game here for safe measure. Visit him at night (between midnight and 1AM) and kill him on sight, as he will stab you with the dagger if you let him. Pick up the weapon and save the game.

the Owl feather trinket. During the mission “Archeology for beginners” in chapter 6, don’t kill anyone while recovering the chanupa and you will receive the trinket from Rains fall. If you kill someone, restart the mission.

The Lion’s paw trinket. In the last part of the side mission “He’s British, of course”, (available at chapter 3) you will be put against a lion, the only in the game. Kill him and then skin him. You will get the lion’s paw, needed to make the trinket.

The Raven claw talisman. After finding every rock carvings during the side mission “geology for beginner”, you can find the brass compass (needed for the talisman) in Sinclair’s cabin. If you did not pick it up during the mission, you will need to exploit a simple bug to get in. Get to the cabin, save the game, reload the save and the door of the cabin should open. So not missable but important to mention.

If you aim for a 100% completion of the O’driscoll gang, you need to do so before the end of chapter 6, as the gang no longer exists during the epilogue. As such, you will need to do every camp and hideouts before completing chapter 6.

Parakeet. It is the most rare animal in the game, and you probably never encountered it. Save yourself the pain of finding them by following this guide : https://youtu.be/eeZkt-QxU9o?si=_gH0dsIJoJSinIMC . Go from Rhodes during the afternoon, demount before the swamp, slowly make your way up while killing and skinning every alligators you meet, and you will probably find a group of these birds at the spawn point. If not, repeat the steps. Study one, kill one (or more) and pick one up. Side note : killing one of them will trigger a “secret mission” where you can kill 25 of these birds and drive them to extinction. This mission has no rewards and is highly optional. If you still want to do it, study and pick at least one of them before killing the 25.

Guarma Animals
The red footed booby (study/kill/pluck)

The blue-and-yellow macaw (study/kill/pluck)

The great green macaw (study/kill/pluck)

The red boa (study/track/kill/skin)

The rainbow boa (study/track/kill/skin)

The sunglow boa (study/track/kill/skin)

The fer-de-lance snake (study/track/kill/skin)

Hmm....Going by the in game compendium it says 59 weapons. The only thing I would be worried about would be the Wanted Posters. Idk if those appear in the epilogues. I'm almost there but I already did 5 so idk. Also there should be enough stranger missions to do 10 full strands even with the *SPOILERS* of the end game.

It may be missable because some missions are missable, just like honor missions. They may not count for 100% but they do count on Social Club website, so it would be wise to make a save once you start each chapter and then make sure you have completed all missions before starting a new chapter.
0
0
By rafa1000house on 01 Nov 2018 12:23
As far as the weapons go - there are 59 slots for weapons on the social club website, so there should be more than enough to get to 48 even when taking missables into account. I've also read that the weapons from GTA V aren't included in that 59 and add additional slots to your count if you collect them so there are actually more than 59 weapons including those. So you should still be able to get 100% even if you've missed the weapons that you only have one chance to get.

@Taipei Kindom According to powerpyx's guide the legendary panther doesn't spawn until the level 10 hunter challenge is active, so that shouldn't be missable if that is correct.

I can't speak to the issues people are having with missing certain main missions as I haven't made it very far into the story yet, but my guess is that it is a bug when people are missing main missions as usually Rockstar never makes 100% completion missable in their games. I believe when GTA V first came out some people were having problems with the game skipping over missions unintentionally, so hopefully a patch will address this issue.

Following up on what I read about the guide for completing all of the optional honor side missions: Does anyone know if replaying the missable missions after completing the epilogue make them count for the 100% completion of the game? For example, if I missed “Brothers and Sisters: One and All” in my playthrough, can I replay the mission after completing the game (since all of the missable missions are able to replay after completing the game for gold medal reasons) and get it to count for 100%?

My problem is the robberies so far. I'm stuck at 2/4 and been going around, being very bad and robbing anyone and everything. Nothing. Do these have to be done by hearing robbery rumors? It seems like randoms robberies aren't working.. if so, it'd be something worth mentioning

By Chaze on 21 Nov 2018 03:27
For me, I got a random store robbery and home robbery to count on the tracker. I have read that for a stagecoach robbery to count you must get a tip from the station clerk at either Strawberry or Rhodes (this unlocks after the mission "Friends in Very Low Places"). Random train robberies should count though from what I'm seeing, but I haven't attempted one of those myself yet; I was waiting for one of the later Bandit Challenges to become available to me as I'm not very far in the story yet.

@LepraSaun From what I'm hearing you should be able to replay all missions, even the ones you missed, after the story. But it shouldn't affect 100% completion either way. I guess the mission doesn't appear in your list of missions to replay in game yet? For me the Social Club website is hit or miss in whether or not it tracks stuff I do in game so I wouldn't take it as gospel.

You can go and catch a legendary fish again if you lost it; it will respawn after a few in-game days (the map will still have it crossed off but that is OK). I've also heard that sometimes they end up at the post office but it sounds like most people have to go and re-catch them. I highly recommend doing a manual save before fishing out a legendary fish and then taking it straight to the post office. If you die or lose it you can then load your save and catch it again immediately.

It's probably hard to judge for this specific achievement because people are probably doing a lot of things besides the requirements for 100% in their first playthrough. I have 200+ hours logged in the game so far, but I am only midway through Chapter 6, for example. But I have done a lot of side stuff that isn't necessarily required for 100% (I'm trying to max out the compendium, and also crafted everything at camp, for example). People are probably also going for gold medals as they go which is required for another achievement, but not this one. I would say if you did absolutely nothing but try to get the 100% requirements you're probably looking at maybe 60 hours or so, maybe less if you're really efficient or have already played through the game before. But for most people it's probably at least 100 hours if you're doing other stuff and not just trying to complete the game without exploring and doing other side content.

Thanks man but I found out what was wrong :)

I was missing one of the robberies and was sure it was the home robbery - I was being told from various sources that you can't do them in the Epilogue with John, so you can imagine how much I was panicking!

I found out that just robbing a store doesn't count towards 100% and that you have to do one of the special robberies attached to them

So, panic over but never did find out if home robberies are unavailable in the Epilogue - that seems like a horrible thing to do

The closer to 100% I get the more scared I am that I will come across something I have missed and can't do

To you crazy bastard cowgirls or cowboys starting this achievement and game. I just got the 100% after 8 months of playing. Some tips

-Every time you see an animal or bird or reptile, make sure you study, kill and skin it. You'll thank me later when you mindlessly kill the Rio Grande Turkey and don't have to deal with it later

-There is 9 challenges give, they take forever if you start it late like i did, which was just this whole week. Prolly 8 or 9 hours a day completing 3 challenges. While you are starting your playthrough, check your challenges and try to do at least one during the story. It'll make it easier at the end. Also don't go for legendary fishes right away, save that for Survivalist Challenge # 10.

-Kill the Legendary buck ASAP so you can get higher chances for 3 star pelts

Just some little tips i just thought of for you guys. And most importantly have fun and don't rip your eyes out for the Blackjack challenge where you need to have 5 cards on the table and beat the dealer. Good luck <3

For Gambler challenge 8... i connected my turbo controller and just let A spam. This way I got it once in like 2 hours. You will have less chance to get it, because you will always get more cards than you need, but since you dont really actually need to play it's fine i guess. The game plays its self.

From what I understand, it doesn't matter how many missions you complete if you are just going for 100%. You get credit for the main story in the 100% checklist when you finish the final mission, regardless of whether you missed any of the optional missions or not (you may miss out on the "Lending a Hand" achievement though). So I do not think you need to be concerned if you are not getting exactly 107 missions, or whatever the correct number may be.

I am not very far into the story, but I am using PowerPyx's guide and he has a list of 108 missions here: http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-full-walkthrou...

While I am fairly confident that all missions are in this list I believe it includes the missions you are talking about that you cannot receive medals on. The general rule seems to be that if a mission does not have gold medal requirements, then it will not appear in your list of missions to replay.

But either way you should be safe as far as 100% completion goes.

@bblcreator8790 Thanks for the response -- That list is the closest I've seen, but to get to 108 they included some missions that I don't think actually count:
- Ch. 3 - #31. "Money Lending and Other Sins - IV"
- Ch. 4 - #48. "Money Lending and Other Sins - V"
- Ch. 6 - #71. "Of Men & Angels I & II"
- Ch. 6 - #73. "Money Lending and Other Sins - VI & VII"

I did all of these but I'm sitting at 104 with only one mission of the Epilogue left to go -- and that includes the "High and Low Finance" pre-order bonus mission that isn't even on the PowerPyx list.

It almost makes sense if Rockstar is getting to 107 from the 104 replayable missions (not including the pre-order bonus mission) plus the 3 Money Lending strands that are just cutscenes. I'm not sure what's special about the "Of Men & Angels" Stranger missions that got it on the list.

Hopefully my counter jumps up to 107 as soon as I finish the Epilogue...

This is from powerpyx..

Glitch Warning (Quest not progressing): When completing a Hunting Request (when sending a mail to Ms. Hobbs), make sure you do not have any other perfect carcasses for the next hunting request in your inventory! Otherwise, the game might glitch out and never give you the follow-up quest, thus making it impossible to complete the hunting requests and thus the 100% completion! There’s yet another glitch; when you’ve already gotten a bigger carcass (rabbit, opossum, skunk, beaver) and you saved the game after, but reloaded the save, then the carcass can simply disappear and is no longer checked off in your quest log. It is therefore best to keep these animals for last or to do the entire request in one sitting with no reloads. This is a gamebreaker and needs as many people to submit as possible..i had 160 plus hrs in and turned in my last set of hunting requests and did a save reload anyway i finished the mission at taxadermist house and it shows it complete under tasks but no checkmark for completion list...not sinking another second into this game unless it gets fixed so please people let it be known!

I was having issues with the "Robberies" section of my 100% achievement. I was sure I had done them all but it still said 3/4. The game wants you to do one of a few rare robberies, not a generic robbery.

The one I did you have to go to the gunsmith at Rhodes, check the right side and you will see a boy being held hostage in the basement. After seeing that, go in the store and "rob" it. You will be able to force him to get down there and then simply follow the instructions

Had the same problem and this worked great. Achievement popped the moment I asked what was in the basement. Actually felt kinda bad for the gunsmith.

I had to rob strawberry general store, peak in the window of the bottom to see a moonshine still, rob general store and hit up on DPAD, achievement popped.

I guess the kid was already dead in the basement ;)

If you're looking for a video guide of all Dreamcatchers, Rock Carvings, and Dinosaur Bones in one that doesn't send you zig zagging back and forth, this one is pretty solid. Sadly, I didn't find it until after I'd finished with the bones (wish I'd seen it first though, the guide I used for them was pretty subpar).

(Disclaimer that this is not my video.)

Notes about Challenges:

Horseman 9 can be done prior to Epilogue. The game needs to register your start at Van Horn, so if necessary, leave the city, then reenter so the "Van Horn" sign shows on the top of the screen. Dry river bed counts as water, rain does not. Get a fast and sturdy Level 4 horse (white Arabian is free), load yourself with Medicine and Miracle Tonics (both you and your horse), then rush to Blackwater, entering the red zone via the bridge near Lake Owanjila. Once you arrive at the Great Plains, the Pinkertons will maul you hard, so start drinking that medicine. Don't bother fighting back or you'll die very quickly. It can be done without dying.

For Horseman 10, the Hungarian Halfbred is not supposed to spawn in any of the Eastern states, but there's a spot west of Lake Owanjila near the Red Arabian and the Pagan Mask where horse breeds will spawn randomly. Every horse that can spawn in the wild will spawn there. So just keep restarting the game if the Hungarian isn't there.

Hunter 6 requires you to kill cougars with bow and skin them. No need for perfect pelt. Cougars are found in the western most end of the map, near the trapper, or in the northeastern corner near the Legendary Moose in the river. You can use poison arrows effectively, but remember that regular arrow headshots are a one hit kill on cougars as well (in fact the bow is a recommended weapon to kill cougars with). Most if not all horses will spook at the sight of a cougar charging at them (yes, even the war horses), so keep an eye on the minimap at all times.

Weapons Expert 10, a single poisoned knife will take a grizzly down. Remember that your horse can still spook while the venom acts, so don't get too close.

Survivalist 5 can be completed by catching the Legendary Sturgeon west of Saint-Denis. This fish can only be caught if you stand on the train tracks on the bridge.

Survivalist 6, go to the middle of the map in New Hannover and kill any big animal like deer or pronghorn. Birds will descend from the sky to eat the corpse (if at night, coyotes and rats appear, maybe an owl). Just kill them all during their feast.

To attain 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2 you don’t have to really do everything in the game, instead there is a checklist in-game that you have to complete in order to reach 100% completion. Some of those items are tied to trophies while some of them require you to go beyond 100% such as the animals trophy, for which you need to study all animals not just 50.

The list of things you need to do to attain 100% completion is below:

  • Complete All Story Missions

  • Collect 5 bounties
  • Have 25 Random Encounters
  • Get Bushwacked
  • Complete All Gang Hideouts

There is no need to collect 144 varieties of cards from packs of cigarettes, you only need one set, you don’t need to look for them either, after meeting with card collectors, expensive cigarettes will appear in stores, here is a video on how to farm cards.

A very problematic test is the 8th player test, where you need to win at blackjack 3 times with three or more card draws. I read a strategy on YouTube in one of the comments that worked for me. Apparently, your chances of completing the challenge increase when you make the maximum bet. The strategy is as follows (as I did the test):

1) In Van Horn, we sit down to play for the first chair (far right), since the chance of winning statistically increases under the stated conditions, you are dealt cards first and, moreover, you don’t have to wait for other players to move.
2) Place the maximum bet. If 21 comes up at once, we win/take back our bet and again bet the maximum possible amount. When you get 18-20 from the first two cards, it is almost impossible to win with a draw of 3 cards, so it is better to just press square and wait for the next deal.
3) If you lose, leave the table and return to it, it’s faster. Again, place the maximum bet and so on until the bitter end.

I got the trophy in about two hours of trying, and completed the conditions 3 times somewhere in the last 20-30 minutes of the game. When playing with minimum stakes, before I learned the strategy, I could not even come close to winning with a draw of 3 or more cards. The last time I won, I got as many as 4 cards and scored 21 points.

PS: I don't know if the strategy will work in Rhodes. To play Van Horn, you must first complete the sidequest with the circus performers. At the time of execution I have $8500, so losses of $3 do not matter much. I advise you to do this test if you have enough money.

PSS: As for the other stages of the "player" challenge, difficulty can only arise with dominoes if you do not know how to play them. And it’s very simple to do - make sure that your set has as many variations as possible, first of all, place duplicate dominoes (for example 5:5) and dominoes with empty cells on the table. I won two rounds in a row without a draw, but for the test you just need to win 3 rounds without a draw. The 9th test involves winning three GAMES in a row, not rounds, but you can get more. Using the same tactics, winning is very easy. It is useful to know that if you win and leave the table, then your progress is saved, that is, if you win, you leave the table and are saved. If you lose, load your save and try again until you make 3 wins in a row. I highly recommend playing dominoes at Emerald Station, it has the easiest version of the game. The Player 10 challenge (win 3 poker hands in a row) is just EXTREMELY easy, especially if you're playing against one person. If your opponent folds, you win. But the most important thing is that if you fold your cards, it is not considered a defeat! Just bet only when you are confident of winning, or you can try to bluff like me. The first time I won, the other two I bluffed. The opponent folded twice and the test counted.

If you have 3/4 at the “robbery” point and you don’t know what to do, then this is definitely not a bug. You need to rob the dark business of some store, and not just a store. In Valentine there is a doctor, go to him, take aim and select the option “rob the back room” or something there, take the money and you're done.

You can download a non-official application for the game on mobile devices with an interactive map and display of where and what is located. This is for those who find it more convenient to watch through a phone/tablet and not constantly run to the computer.
The application is called: MapGenie: RDR2 .

The main missions of the plot, for example, “Let Oil Spill - Part 2,” can be skipped; it will not affect the trophy. At the end of the story, a checkmark will simply appear indicating that the story has been completed - that will be enough.

A small trick with which you can catch any fish quickly and easily. There is no need to dance with a tambourine. All you have to do is pull the left stick up and down (as if you were operating a faucet) while you turn the right stick. Thus, the legendary fish is caught in a matter of seconds.
For clarity, you can watch the video .

This trophy is unmissable! You can complete the plot and then finish off everything that remains.
100% completion in RDR2 is very humane, since you don't need to collect/do absolutely everything. For example, only 50 of 178 animals need to be skinned. The same goes for fishing, weapons and other things - you only need to complete the part required for the trophy. So you need to complete 10 tasks from strangers, 25 random encounters, 10 out of 72 pieces of equipment, 48 out of 59 types of weapons, 10 out of 30 fish, 10 out of 19 horses, 20 out of 43 types of plants. Lots of things are not required to be 100% complete.

There is a bug with the plants Acuna's Star Orchid and Lady Slipper Orchid. I collected a couple of plants at the end of the game and when completing the test they no longer appeared. I waited a long time, all the plants were updated, there were no Orchids.

P.S. you need to complete the Exotics task and then the plants will appear.

In the second chapter there are skippable missions for preparing the train robbery, if you do not complete them on time, they will disappear (John will complete them himself), perhaps this will affect the completion of the plot at 100%

Challenge "Win three games of dominoes in a row":
You can exit the game (not from the rdr2 game itself, but from the domino game by holding down the zero button), the counter does not reset, I checked it personally!
as soon as you see that everything has gone wrong, it is better not to risk it and leave the table. A dollar spent is not worth the hassle. easy went in 30-40 minutes

but this trick does not work with the next challenge (Win three hands of poker in a row). also verified by me personally

UPD: played dominoes with additional draw at Emerald station

I'll tell you how to quickly pass the test "player 9" and "player 10"
“Player 9” - We’re going to Saint-Denis, there we play dominoes with 5s, it’s faster than usual and in my opinion easy, to win you have to knock out the dominoes so that the sum of the dominoes at the ends is a MULTIPLE of 5, in On average, it will take 2 rounds to win, since you need to score 100 points. If you win once, continue playing, there is a high probability that you will be able to win 2 times immediately. If you see that your opponents have more points than you (70-90), feel free to click , we leave the table and sit down again, so the test doesn’t fail.
“Player 10” - Everything is extremely simple here, we sit down to play in the same Saint-Denis, despite the combination, I went all-in 3 times and my opponents simply folded.

I can assume that the trophy is missable. I encountered a problem on the “explorer” test, a random event did not appear, in which the “Great Expectations” card appears, perhaps a test for Arthur should follow, and not wait until the end of the game

It seems like this hasn’t been here yet, so I’ll write it

Player 8
Above, in other tips it is written that the amount of the bet determines which cards the dealer will deal during the game. My personal opinion is complete randomness, regardless of the bet, the easiest way to save nerves and time is as follows:
1. Sit on the left hand of the dealer;
2. If during the distribution the first two cards total a number greater than 10, then we leave the table and sit down again.
This way you don’t have to wait for the game to end; I recommend betting 2 cents, since we will lose them in 9/10 cases. It took me about 30 minutes to complete the test this way.

9 PLAYER CHALLENGE - WIN 3 TIMES IN A ROW AT DOMINOS

It turned out that everything is simple. The guy explained)
Played at Rancho Emerald with 1 player.

The point is to force your opponent to go to the market, so that he will stock up there specifically.
See what dice he puts on the ones you laid out, if you see that he doesn’t have enough, say, threes, and he puts a 5 where possible, and you have a three in stock, if the opportunity arises, put it and he will go to the market for the sake of this three, because it is doomed. Also, make sure that your dominoes are repeated, don’t lay them out anyhow. If you have 3 pieces of 6ok, of which 1 is with two 6s (for a total of 12), place it first.
I lost a couple of rounds, provided that I had a small total number on the dice. It's no big deal.
If you feel that the game is not going in your favor and your opponent already has a lot of points, if you still decide to lose the round to him, do not take risks, leave the table and sit down again. The loss will not be counted and the next win will be counted as “in a row”. I had 42 points, the player had 52, when I went to the market, I realized that I was screwed) and left the table. she won the next round and completed the test.
Spent an HOUR!

In the 10th challenge, go to the bank and win. Or raise your rates a little at a time. Make other players pass.

Regarding the test of player 10, it is better to immediately go all-in. How I did this challenge - in Valentine I sat down at the table, waited until strong cards came out, went all-in, one player acted against me, the rest folded, I won with the cards, after the two remaining rounds there were no brave souls)

Exotic, hunter's tests. I noticed a peculiarity: you come to the place where animals or birds spawn, save, load the save - the necessary representatives of the fauna are not there. Five times if there is no spawn, you need to close the game and start it again - one or two loads and the desired animal will definitely appear.

For those who, like me, have difficulty catching legendary fish, I discovered the noob method. I don't know if this is a bug. Just cast the fishing rod not far away, wait for the fish to notice our twitching, and twist the line towards yourself, thereby leading the legend and hook it almost near the shore. A couple more spins and that’s it, fish in hand. I can’t drag it any further, the fish breaks away and that’s it. I just don’t understand where to turn L if the fish is all twitching. So, if you are noobs like me when it comes to fishing, use it.

If you are experiencing difficulties with the “Weapon Master 6” test (Kill 4 enemies at the same time with one charge of dynamite), you can come to the gang’s lair (for example, Robbers’ Haven), tie up four opponents (we eliminate the rest so as not to interfere), and throw all the tied ones into one pile and blow it up with dynamite. Maniac's working method)

Player 8.
There is also a joke: if you collect 7 cards in your hands and there is no bust, then you will automatically win and your victory will count toward the test, even if the dealer has the same number of points as you. If you and the dealer have the same points and they write “exactly” to you, then this does not count towards victory.

When robbing trains, you don't need to rob all 5, but only 3!
We catch up with the train, knock down the guard, search the last carriage until you are put on the wanted list.
We get off the train (do not catch the eye of the cops), as soon as the search is lifted we return to the train and continue to calmly rob it further.
This will count as your second attempt.

Where we marked it in orange-white-red, we enter the zone, set up camp, sleep until the morning, run along the markers, there are snowy, white and red herons, eggs lie parallel to alligators and pink capits spawn, blue and tri-colored ones, kill everything, skin everything. Red/white/snowy 5/5/5, regular heron feather 20, capit feathers - 30, alligator eggs are needed 25, don’t stick them in, collect them in one go, because then, as they wrote above, the necessary animals disappear.
The blue one is where the herons fly as a family, but it happened only twice in 15 loads, but if you kill it, then 7-10 feathers at a time can be pulled out by an ordinary heron. They usually fly in the morning too. To simplify the moment of running, we killed all the living creatures in the morning, saved, loaded, and a flock spawns every 1-10 times (randomly).
And I still couldn’t find information, if suddenly, for example, you need to collect 10 yellow boots, but you didn’t get to his requests, then you can find 9 of them in total until you reach the desired part, then collect 1 at a time and you will be happy. If you combine it with collecting other collections, it is very convenient. Just one thing, do it in parallel with a level 9 herbalist, make your life easier.

Challenge Player #9:
Got quickly in the fourth chapter in my camp, domino "Troika". I gain points quickly, we try to get a number that is a multiple of three. He won two games in a row, but the AI didn’t want to give up the third game. I left the game (via O), the domino table disappeared. We move away and chop wood, carry water - the table appears again. We sit down and win another game. DON'T SAVE!! if you left the table to avoid losing.
The YouTube option with the game near the Emerald Ranch is very long - verified.

My observations and time for completing the “Player 9” and “Player 10” tests:
Player 9: Time 40-60 minutes is up. After a victory, you can get up from the table and sit down again - the victory counter is not reset. BUT if you save and load, the counter is reset (checked several times). I played at Emereld station (it was easier for me to calculate the dice in a regular game than in three or five). So essentially. After one victory, I immediately start the next game and if I clearly lose (for example, the score is 49:50 and we have a few dice left until the end of the opponent’s turn), then we simply leave the table and sit down again. It does not count as a defeat and the counter is not reset!!! And so on until you win, until you have a clear advantage in the game. I did this test in 5 games (I had to quit 2)
Player 10: I won’t brag, but I did it in 2-3 minutes According to this scheme. (I’ll make a reservation right away, there were 2 players at the table + me) Played in Valentine. As soon as you were dealt 2 cards, you raised the bet by $1 (you immediately folded 1). Then, when 3 community cards were placed on the table, he immediately raised it by another $1 (discarded the second one). And I'm Win
But maybe it was luck, in the first round one of the players went all-in and I supported. As a result, I ended up with the highest card, "King". The remaining 2 rounds we played one on one. And, with the strategy described above, the enemy folded every time.
This is how it happened for me.

Player's 8th challenge is to win 3 games of blackjack with at least 3 cards.

Your chances of winning will increase if you take the last seat at the table and be the last to bet. After your opponents have placed their bets, add them up, for example 2,4,4 = 10. Your bet is 10. I don't guarantee victory right away, no, sit at the table, win, lose, but most importantly, keep going! And you will notice that you will more often have a small number after the hand or an average one (11,12) and the chance of drawing cards will also increase with less risk of busting or losing. Just be patient. I struggled with this task for about an hour, if not more. Then I tried this strategy, literally after a couple of minutes I get 3 cards and win.

AlexSokol10, wrong, I just took the “Great Expectations” map from my old grandfather between the RIGGS station and DIABLO RIDBE (a mountain one kilometer above the station, at 15:00 game time, in good sunny weather, my player mark on the map). At the same time, I have already completed the entire game, two parts of the prologue, and I am riding as a john in free mode, completing challenges.
I am attaching a screenshot of all possible appearances of the “grandfather”.
Attention: Grandfather will not give up the card voluntarily, catch him in a lasso (humanely) and take away the card, or just give him some cabbage soup.

Player Challenges #8, 9.
Regarding Player Challenge #8. Played with my wife in Van Horn. It is better to sit on the far right seat (relative to Diller - on the left hand). I can’t say with certainty about the maximum bet, but at first we bet 2 cents and nothing worked, then we started betting 1$ and we won twice, but the last time we won with a bet of 2 cents. When splitting, I advise you to split the cards into two hands. Don't forget that aces can be either 1 or 11.
Player Challenge #9 (Win dominoes 3 times in a row). My wife and I performed this test in St. Dini, there are players in the “Five” dominoes (you need to count points on the outer dominoes, points are counted if their sum is a multiple of 5. In our opinion, this is the fastest way to complete this test. It’s better to play when more competitors. Regarding leaving the domino game and saving, so that if you lose you can roll back, I can say the following: when we won the first time, we left the domino game, saved, and rolled back after losing, but the test was 0 out of 3. We stuck to the tactic of scoring as many points as possible.
Ps. It took a very long time to complete the test data ~ 3 hours. For the most part, they are for luck.
Stock up on valerian and “May the force be with you”

After completing all the challenges and wearing a set of equipment, you will reach the maximum level of 10.

Player test.
There are very easy tactics for winning poker. At the very beginning of the game we place the maximum bet (all-in), if we don’t win, we repeat again, all-in is not high ~$5 (almost always won on the second try).
Stage 10 (win 3 poker games in a row) play in Valentine. The first game we go all-in until we win (we always win in 1-2 attempts, it’s not scary to lose $5 pennies). Second game: the first bet was made minimally, when two cards were dealt, an ace almost always came up (the main thing among two cards is to have an ace, king or queen, i.e. a card with a high value), then three cards are laid out on the table and if there is no second ace there, king or queen, wait for the rest of the cards to be laid out until there is a pair or a cooler combination. In my case, when I laid out 3 cards, there was an ace among them and I immediately went all-in and won (the main thing is to have a pair as high as possible), my opponents stupidly folded. In the third game we do the same as in the second - two high-denomination pairs go all-in. Even if you lose, it won’t take long to replay, and the lost $5 is mere pennies at the end of the game, or you can save before the game and load in if you lose.
PS this tactic does not work in stage 4 (empty any player in 3 regions), you will have to play honestly. The main thing is to raise bets when a high combination is formed, but not too much, otherwise the player you are trying to empty will fold.

Stage 9 (Win 3 domino games in a row)
The longest stage is based on randomness and a little on skill. We play the simplest version at the Emirald Ranch station with one opponent. You need to win by scoring 60 points, points are awarded to the winner who laid out all the dice first. I spent many hours and still passed. If you feel that your opponent is winning, then leave the table; it does not count as a defeat, but the victory counter is saved.

Stage 8 (Get at least 3 cards in Blackjack)
Completely random, which I spent a lot of time on. I played in Rhodes, for speed I advise you to sit on the left hand of the dealer, you will receive the very first cards and draw them too. It’s worth picking up if you get cards with a low value.

Bandit Challenge
Point 10 (Successfully rob 5 trains)
At Rancho Emirald station we buy a ticket to Valentine. Upon arrival, we do not leave the pasture, turn on the bad guy, take out a pistol, point it at the passenger and rob him (click ) - the train robbery is ready, now we run away. We leave the pasture, get on our horse and gallop to the Rancho Emirald station, along the way we drop the pursuit and there at the station/post office we pay a fine (if we didn’t shoot and didn’t kill extra people, then the fine is $100-150). Then repeat 4 times and you're done. One cycle takes ~5 minutes.

Stage 9 (Tie up and leave 3 people on the railway)
All you need to do is tie it up and just throw it on the rails, no need to wait for the train. You can untie this same poor fellow, tie him up again and throw him on the rails again, he will count for two.

In general, all stages are in the video https://youtu.be/YCuZJk8D4Cs

Herbalist Challenge
All stages are perfectly shown in this video and the location of all plants https://youtu.be/nxQ4xcgNb0s

Test researcher
All stages in the video https://youtu.be/kwweJ0yGHok . The last owner of the card appears in random places, he needs to be tied up and robbed. Tip: complete the challenge at the very beginning of the game, because... money is really needed there.

Weapon Master Challenge
Stage 6 (blow up 4 enemies with one checker). You can tie up 4 opponents, throw them in a pile and throw dynamite.

Survival Master Challenge
Stage 10 (Catch all types of fish) You only need ordinary (not legendary) fish, here is the whole list in order:
Common fish
1. Bluegill
2. Striped pike
3. Redfin pike
4. Rock Perch
5. Smallmouth Bass
6. American catfish
7. Yellow perch
8. Lake sturgeon
9. Largemouth Bass
10. Rainbow trout
11. Channel catfish
12. Long-snout shellfish
13. Muskie pike
14. Common pike
15. Salmon

Bandit test number 7 - loot 50 bucks, try to pass it during the story missions. Sometimes there are no witnesses and the cops don't care what's going on.
This is what happened to me - I tried a gop-stop outside the missions on the main road, but because of the constant witnesses everything turned into massacres followed by shootouts with lawmen, and besides, the efficiency of such gop-stops tended to zero due to the fact that everyone drives around with a short gun and less than a buck on them, and then I come across the mission “Benefits of Civilization” in the Fourth Chapter in the city of San Denis, during which I rob an aunt on the street, I’m a cop who happens to be across the street from us, completely up to it indifferent. Thus, after running around decent areas, I robbed the required 50 bucks in 20 minutes

PS Just don’t do this in working-class neighborhoods, otherwise you risk opening a local branch of Sleeping Dogs in their gateways, when you stand alone against 4-5 Afro-proletarians
