How to unlock the Heading South on a White Bronco achievement in Red Dead Redemption - Definitive Guide
did it like in the chievo and got it easy.
little extra hint: bunker up in your safehouse room in the armadillo saloon and you won't get killed so easily. when only 1-2 sheriffs are left, you can go out to kill them and do like the video sais.
also when you get to the place in the video, set a waypoint for macfarlanes ranch and got the cheev for using a pardon letter to pay off a $5000 bounty
U.S. Marshals have a 20% chance to spawn every 30-40 minutes (real-time) after having killed 20 law officers on your active bounty. Every law officer kill after that increases their chance of spawning by 5%. You must be in the wilderness for them to come after you.
The Hungarian Half-Bred can be found only in Mexico. Try looking near Mesa de la Luna, as you have to find one there for the Stranger mission "Love Is the Opiate." Once you have broken the horse, buy the deed from a general store and use it so you can always call it to you.
To successfully escape the marshals for this achievement, you have 3 options:
1. Kill the Marshals (they are good shots, be careful)
2. Escape from them, anywhere works
3. Get into Mexico (they have no jurisdiction and won't pursue)
Just get your law officer kills and ride through the wilderness, and eventually a message saying "U.S. Marshals have tracked you down" or something of the sort will appear. Sometimes the message will not appear, but if you see a group of 4 officers and your kills are over 20, they're probably marshals. Successfully pull off one of the options and bam, achievement!
Good luck! :)
The Hungarian Half-Bred is a white horse with a gray muzzle that you can find in Mexico. Once you break one, I highly suggest buying the deed to the horse just in case the horse is killed trying to escape.
Once you rack up 250+ murders, or gain a bounty of $5000+ (in the US), you will receive a message that you are being pursued by the US Marshals. After that, call your horse, making sure it is the Hungarian Half-Bred, and escape.
I suggest combining this achievement with "Friends in High Places". Once you evade capture, head to the nearest post office and use a Pardon Letter.
Note: I take no credit for this video, i like only to share it with you. Credit goes to the great guys Jack and Goeff from Achievementhunter.com

This solution saves you time from finding the horse. However if you don't plan on leveling the solutions above will work just fine.
The Hungarian Half-Bred mount is unlocked at level 33.
(This is how I got it).

I got this after having the US Marshals after me in Armadillo, and I headed toward Coot's Chapel with three Marshals after me. I turned around when I reached the edge of the alert circle and sniped them from a distance which immediately lost my alert. The achievement popped a split second afterward.

Attempt this at the same time as going for the Friends in High Places trophy.
First things first, you need to get the Hungarian Half-Bred horse which can be found in the Diez Coronas area. It's bigger than most horses and is all grey. When you get this horse make sure it's your main horse by hitching it or buying the deed for it. You will also need to have US Marshals after you and you have to kill at least least 20 sheriffs to make them appear. If you're attempting this at the same time as getting the $5000 bounty then chances are you will get the rare evil black horse that is given to you for having low Honor, use the deed of a Hungarian Half-Breed and flee the area. To make this easier, kill every US Marshal but have one alive and chasing you. As soon as you escape, the trophy will unlock.
Before you start this you will need to break a Hungarian Half-Bred (white horse with a dark face). Once you have broken the horse you can then buy the deed for that specific horse, activate the deed from your satchel and you can call the horse you require.
If you don't want this to affect your current progress I suggest you save in one of the empty slots. Stock up on ammo and make your way to any town. You will now need to start killing law enforcement, after you have killed 20 law enforcers you can now leave town and lose your wanted level. You're now going to need to ride around for a while until a notice pops up on your screen telling you the US Marshals have found you. One this happens you need to outrun them and escape. Evading the Marshals won't be as easy compared to outlaws, law enforcement or posses as they are highly skilled.
You can evade them by either killing them or running and loosing your wanted level.
2. Get $1000 bounty.
3. Sleep.
4. When you awake you will receive a message of the marshals on a way to kill you (sleep again if theres no message).
5. Escape of the marshals with the new horse.
6. Achievement unlocked!
You can find him in Diez Coronas and saddle him, you can also buy him in Chuparosa for $750, Punta Orgullo for $750, Armadillo for $750.
I staged a shootout in Armadillo, killed everyone while shooting on the saloon balcony for $600, survived, woke up wanted again, ran out of the saloon, got on a White Mustang and raced away from the marshals as soon as WANTED passed and gave me the trophy.
