How to unlock the Friends indeed achievement in Red Dead Redemption - Definitive Guide

The mission is 'The Escape' and this is a step by step walkthrough which should net you all of these:


• Stake a claim: gold medal any co-op mission
• Well done complete a co-op mission
• Bullet proof complete a co-op mission without dying
• 2 guys 1 co-op 1 mission
• Friends indeed complete a co-op mission without anyone dying
There are extensive notes and a commentary on the video link and it is definite walk through of the first level so if you want to experience it yourself I'd suggest coming back to it!

Most importantly, while teamed, incapacitation does not count as a death (from what I remember).

There's really not much to this achievement. Just take your time and carefully clear the objectives (while staying together if in a team).

The easiest mission to complete this on would be a mission that has no chances of instant death. Ammunition, The River, and Walton's Gold; while these missions are usually more straight-forward, they do have an increased chance of instant death. Cannon fire in Ammunition will likely kill instantly; incapacitation while on the boat in The River will leave you completely dead; dynamite could also claim a life in Walton's Gold.

Sticking to Escape, Kidnapped Girl, and The Herd will increase your chances of completing this achievement.

Stick together with your team and make sure everyone takes cover. As long as you no one rushes ahead you should have no issue earning this. Completing "The Escape", "The Kidnapped Girl" or the "The Herd" will be the easier missions to earn this one.

If you are having issues with other players, compete this privately with a friend.

As the description says, you need to complete a Co-Op mission without anyone dying. You can, however, become incapacitated (downed) but you cannot bleed out and must be revived in order to fulfil the requirements of the trophy. If someone goes down then you can revive them by pressing once you are beside them. There will be a circle timer above the downed players body, giving you an indication of how much time you have to revive them before they bleed out but in the Advanced maps this timer will decrease a lot faster so don't dawdle. Also, make sure that you've cleared out any nearby enemies before you attempt to revive your team-mate.

Start a Co-Op mission that you and your team-mates are familiar with and stay somewhat close to one another. Personally, I recommend the Walton's Gold mission in Normal Mode. Once you've completed the mission, then you will be awarded with this trophy but only if no-one died during the mission.
