How to unlock the Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace achievement in Red Dead Redemption - Definitive Guide
Macfarlanes Ranch - $10 buy in - blinds max out at 64.
Armadillo -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
Thieves Landing -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
Casa Madrugada -$50 buy in - blinds max out at 384
Beechers Hope - $100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
Blackwater - -$100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
If you are trying to boost this, you need to make sure you have 6 people at the table. It has been reported but unverified(by me) that once they sit the table all but two can leave. Then, keep folding until the blinds have reached the level above, and wait until whoever is suppose to win the achievement has the best hand, then go all in. Make sure you do this on the last card(the river), so you don't get out drawn.
For those who don't know what hands beats what, here's a link describing the various hands and their rankings.

- Get a group of 6 fellow boosters. Random players are unpredictable.
- Ensure you're all in the party.
- Set communication to "party chat". Easier to co-ordinate.
- Commit to the whole time (can be up to 3 hours)
- Establish an order of achievement (Who will get it first, 2nd, 3rd, etc...)
- A basic knowledge of Poker.
1) Take your party to Macfarlanes ranch and start up a game.
2) For the first round, everyone folds. Doesn't matter who wins.
3) Everyone except the host and the person going for the achievement can leave. Free roam, watch a movie, new game, whatever. :)
4) The remaining two don't actually have to do anything for 20 - 25 minutes. Game will play automatically. Reason you're doing this is because blinds double every 5 minutes, regardless of any action you do.
5) Once the 20 - 25 minutes are up (check after 20 to insure blinds have reached max) both players "Check" until "The river". (The fifth round of betting)
6) Now both players will need to tell each other their cards. Lets assume player 1 (P1) needs the achievement. If P1 has a winning hand, go "All in". If not, get the other player to fold and repeat this step.
7) Achievement obtained!
8) Now since everyone is in the same party, just tell em all to get ready for the next session and don't forget to send an invite if they haven't joined.
But we did wait for the blinds to double once andf then all but 2 players left the table and it still worked. We never really noticed a time differnece between having only 2 players stay and all players stay.
Positive from me.
It is best to have someone in your boosting party that is knowledgeable about poker so that they can tell the person going for the achievement when they have the best hand so they can bust everyone out and win.The best place to get this achievement is to go to MacFarlane's Ranch since the max blind is only 64.
* Starting with whoever goes first, have that person go all in. Then have everyone else fold.
* Repeat this process as it goes around the table until the blinds are at max.
* If you were unable to get someone that is knowledgeable about poker then once the blinds are max at 64 you can have everyone go all in and see who wins, this is what I did.
* After two or more people have gotten the achievement it is best to have them bust out at the beginning so you don't run into the chance of them winning again. To do this simply have them go all in and whoever has the best hand will bust the other people out. The remaining person who already has the achievement should place a bet of about 60, have the next person call it and then have the 3rd person check it. When it gets back to the person who already has the achievement have them fold as well as one other person so that the only one person still has his cards so he gets the money. Repeat this process when it gets to the person who already has the achievement until he bust out as well.
***TheBlackDragonX says that with poker after the game starts you can have 4 of the 6 people exit back to free roam and the two remaining players can fold back and forth until blinds are max. The host of the free roam must be one of the two people that remain in the game. I didn't do it this way, so I can't confirm myself. But you can try this way if you think the way I did it would take to long.***

Take together 8 people NOT 6, and get them all to a party. Then one of the guys hosts a private Poker Game by pressing the Back button and chooses Xbox Live Private Game and after the loading screen he again presses the Back button to host a Poker game. Then he is alone in the lobby and could invite the whole party. The map doesn't matter because you only have to get the maximum blind for the specific map.
The blinds are like following:
Macfarlanes Ranch - $10 buy in - blinds max out at 64.
Armadillo -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
Thieves Landing -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
Casa Madrugada -$50 buy in - blinds max out at 384
Beechers Hope - $100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
Blackwater - -$100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
On the first round everyone folds out by pressing the X button! Once the second round starts, everyone except the host and one other player leaves the lobby. From now on only two players stay in the game. The boring part begins becaouse you have to sit there for about 20-25 minutes until the blinds are at their maximum. Then the point comes out to go All In! When the game is finished by beating your opponent, the achievement will unlock.
The key point why this solution is faster is, when the 4 people have left the game, they and the other two players start a second lobby and do the same thing again! So 4 people are going for the achievement and 4 are sitting there and wait for the next round.
So with this solution 2 teams are playing on the same time and when the first one is finished they and the remaining 4 could start a new 3rd game.
If you have a good organisated boost this will be a piece of cake for you ;)

The other solutions posted work great, and I can confirm that after the first hand is played, all but two people can leave the game, but because of the hack, I suggest only one or two people leave after the first hand, and then one or two after the next hand and so on... (we had four leave at once and it froze the game.)
The problem is going to be getting the game started in the first place. The connection problems, frozen loading screens and all of the other problems caused by the hack will now be multiplied by six, so you will have trouble getting a game started. It can be done: In our boosting session, at least 3 of us got the achievement, but it took 13 of us over 6 hours to get them.
We kept having to switch up combinations of different people, different types of free-modes (private seemed to work best, but that could be mere chance,) different cities (one of us got it in McFarlane's Ranch and the other two played Armadillo.) I suggest that as soon as you have a game that works, play there; don't skip and go into another load screen, because if just one person gets stuck, you have to start over.
so, if you are not a completionist, you might want to skip the low points for this one, but if you are, and I assume that since you are on this site, that you are, just be patient, start or join boosting sessions and expect that it may take several sessions before you get your achievement. Enjoy the satisfaction that you have helped others.

Requirements:
You are going to need a full table of 6 players. They don't all have to stick around for the whole game of poker but need to be there at the first turn.
Guide:
First start a poker game with a full table and then have all the people who don't need the achievement to leave the game. Once everyone has left except for the two people who need the achievement, the two people going for it will keep folding until the blinds double to the maximum. The blinds will double every five minutes and it will take about thirty minutes until the blinds get to max. Another tip is to burn the clock by taking a while to do your turn. Once they get to maximum have one of the players go all in and the other bust out.
Blinds at each table:
•Macfarlanes Ranch - $10 buy in - blinds max out at 64.
•Armadillo -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
•Thieves Landing -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192
•Casa Madrugada -$50 buy in - blinds max out at 320
•Beechers Hope - $100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
•Blackwater - -$100 buy in - blinds max out at 640
This trophy can be a pain. The best way of obtaining this trophy is to start in a public/private match with 6 people you know or with a total of 6 randoms. You don’t have to end with 6, Just start with six people/Members. People tend to quit right after they lose and Rockstar knows that so they only want you to start off with six. When you start the game and have 6 of friends at the table, 4 of them can leave and go to another room if they don't want to stay.
Also the game tends to freeze with the maximum amount of people at the end of the poker game so that is why I advise you to start with six and have 3 or 4 people quit, then go ahead and start letting those big blinds raise to maximum.
Wise Words For Boosters: Fold, fold, fold. When the big blinds are at max, the player not going for the trophy folds until the game is over and the player going for the trophy wins. Please use the boosting thread, if you plan to boost this trophy: LINK
This trophy can be done in a private match with friends. You have a daily allowance of 200 dollars; if you earn more than 200 in a day, it will not reset your total back to 200. Getting to maximum blinds takes about 25-30 minutes and varies on where you play poker at (see list below). Thanks TheNukes & Blessorship.
Macfarlanes Ranch: $10 buy in - Big blinds max out at 64.
Armadillo: $25 buy in - Big blinds max out at 192
Theives Landing: $25 buy in - Big blinds max out at 192
Casa Madrugada: $50 buy in - Big blinds max out at 320
Beechers Hope: $100 buy in - Big blinds max out at 640
Blackwater: $100 buy in - Big blinds max out at 640
Here are the possible card combinations (from best to worse):
- Royal Flush: 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of the same suit.
- Straight Flush: A Straight. Example: One 6, one 7, one 8, one 9 and one 10
- Four of a Kind: Four cards with the same number. Example: Four 6's
- Full House: Combination of "Three of a Kind" and "Pair". Example: three 4's and two 9's
- Flush: Five cards. Example: Five cards with the "spades" suit.
- Straight: Five cards in successively order. Example: One 3, one 4, one 5, one 6 and one 7 or one A, one 2, one 3, one 4 and one 5
- Three of a Kind: Have three cards with the same number. Example: Three 7's.
- Two Pairs: Have two pair combinations. Example: Two 9's and two Kings.
- Pair: Have two cards with the same number. Example: Two 6's.
- High Cards: No combination, the high card is your card with highest number. Example: One Ace.
With this you should be able to understand Poker and get the trophy without losing too many chips. I recommend folding if the first four cards thrown at the table are bad and don't make a good hand. Don’t bet too high or your opponents will fold. As said it doesn't matter if the other players quit, all you have to do is start off with six.
The maximum amount of people at a Poker game is 6 people, so be sure to have 5 other people ready before you even attempt this achievement. Depending on which Poker table you play at, the buy-ins (and maximums) will be different. Playing at Macfarlane's Ranch is the cheapest buy-ins, so starting there is recommended. The Maximum blinds at Macfarlane's Ranch is 32 for Small and 64 for Big.
Now, once you have all 6 people at the table in a private poker game, you can go about getting this achievement one of three ways:
- Have everyone fold, every hand. This isn't really recommended as it takes longer because 6 people have to fold every hand.
- Have 4 people bust out and then the 2 remaining people fold every hand. This can go by really fast if you get lucky, but then again, it can also go somewhat slow. Chances are, only one or two people will bust out per hand if everyone goes all in because the game gives out at least one side pot. In order to do this, however, you will have to have 5 people go all in and then one person fold in order to ensure there are at least 2 remaining people in the game. Once everyone busts out, the game will go by faster and you won't have to worry about inviting everyone back into the game once it is completed, but it can be frustrating trying to set this up.
- Have 4 people quit, leaving just the host and the dealer of that hand. The host can be the dealer, so if this is the case, just have one other person stay. This is the fastest way to complete each game, but after you will have to get everybody back into the room and start it again, which can be annoying.
The easiest way is probably the third option, but there have been some reports that quitting voids the achievement, so attempt this at your own risk.
Once there are two people remaining in the game, when there is a small blind of 32 and a big blind of 64, have the remaining person who is not getting the achievement put all of his chips except one into the pot, have the next person call, and then have the person who put almost all of his chips in fold. Now, the person not getting the achievement will have to go all in every hand and the person getting the achievement will only lose a few chips maximum if he loses the hand. The reason for this is because you can only win twice the amount of chips you put in with two people in the game so the person getting the achievement has no risk of actually losing all of his chips. Keep completing hands until the person who's getting the achievement actually wins. The achievement will unlock once you stand up from your seat.
It takes a few hours to get all 6 people the achievement if everyone at the table needs/wants it. It takes about a half hour for just one person to get it, and that's just the in-game time, that's not including setting the game up.
