How to unlock the Freed Space achievement in Red Faction: Guerrilla - Definitive Guide

Easy was is when you are able to buy the rocket launcher do so then upgrade it to heat seeking, this will allow you to lock on to the flyers and shoot them down. It only takes one rocket to hit and its down. Just always have the rockets with you when destroying EDF buildings or doing missions as from Oasis on the flyers start to become very common.

When you get a Collateral Damage Guerrilla action, just shoot the flyers and don't destruct the wanted amount (50 million, 75 million, 80 million etc.). Then when it ends, just press Exit and then drive to the same Collateral Damage again. You get credits for every single damage you did for the 1 billion achievement, and all the flyers aswell.

Great way to grind this one. Thanks! FYI, instead of exiting and driving back, you can choose Retry and it saves your progress and puts you back at the start of the Collateral Damage.

The Flyers are worth quite a bit of money (maybe $5 million?), so I've actually used the flyers to put me over the Collateral Damage target amount.

This is pretty easy, especially once you get to EOS. I find the nano rifle is pretty good against them once upgraded (Definetly a good idea). two shots will usually kill them, and if you manage to hit them where the wing connects to the body it's an instant kill. Also, the collateral damage missions are a good way to get gunship kills, as the rocket turret is a one hit kill provided you can hit the flyers.

To get it i just went to the martin council in eos sector high value targets and got a red alert status and the flyers will come just use rocket launcher or nano rifle be patient the flyers might take a bit between kills

This is an EDF Flyer:



The Flyers only show up once you have annoyed the EDF to the point they throw everything at you and your Alert status is at Red. The Flyers don't show up until you start Liberating Dust Sector. The two best ways to take these out are with a fully upgraded Rocket Launcher that has the Multi-Rocket and Heat-Seeking Rocket abilities installed or with the Gauss Rifle. The trophy will pop after destroying your 50th Flyer.

It is convenient to complete this task closer to the EOS sector, or even better, within itself.

Closer to it, we are given an improvement - RPG guided missiles.

In EOS, it is enough to simply shoot down flyers directly from the base, where there is a hill, and, if necessary, a cabinet with spare cartridges.

You can also shoot down flyers from other places in the future, if you notice them in time, you can have time to aim and shoot them down before they fly away.
