How to unlock the Enter of Your Own Free Will achievement in Redfall - Definitive Guide

You'll likely get this on your own playing through the game. There is however a short guide below for people like me who want to know exactly what to do.
Play through the game normally until you get to the fire station. Once you have cleared it of vampires and saved the survivors, you will now have access to story missions. Once you complete a few (for me I think it was 3) you will see that there are now vampire nests on your map. These nests are essentially mini dungeons and they have modifiers which makes the vampires inside stronger (also outside the nest before you enter it) and/or the dungeon harder. All you have to do is go to the nest to the middle of the circle and you will find the door, enter and achievement pops. These dungeons are completely optional but do give good exp and decent rewards (guns, meds, etc.).

At a certain point in the Redfall main story (after the second mission of the block of three, “Giving You Tomorrow”) vampire nests will start to appear in Redfall. They are indicated by a door icon with a blue circle surrounding it on the map. Within that circle is a glowing door (literally at the centre of the circle). Enter the door to enter the vampire nest, and this achievement will unlock. The one we did first was in Basswood (the eastern one), and the door was directly east of the Basswood Safehouse. Not sure if this is scripted or they're random. Either way, just enter the nest and this achievement is yours.
