Redfall

Prerequisites:
Fighting the Hollow Man takes place during the last mission in Redfall Commons. You need 3 underboss skulls as well as his rememnant to access his layer. You will already have the remnant by now but if you need underboss skulls you earn them by completing safe houses (capture safe house, do the safe house quest then the underboss quest making sure to pick up the skull from the ash pile after killing the underboss)

Reaching the Hollow Man:
Make your way over to the Hollow Mans door and place the skulls & remnant. Enter the door and make your way along the only path. Enter the giant doll house. You can kill a Sin Eater here for some more story, head up the stairs 3 times and you will see the last shorter stair case which leads up to the Hollow Man.

Hollow Man attacks:
He has several different attacks but he uses his siphon attack the most. This is the same one the siphon vampire uses to suck your health away so blocking line of site stops this attack. He launches butterflies that travel round the room in a set path so are easily avoided. He has a slash attack & he has a blood cannon type attack where he shoots a beam from his chest. Lastly he will spawn vampire shades after knocking off every third of his health. These things run around like normal vampires but can be killed very easily as they have very low health.

Fighting the Hollow Man:
Once you head up the stairs the fight starts immediately. This fight is very easy. You will notice the room has an upper area so go straight up there and hide behind a pillar. Stay right up against it and just keep popping out to shoot. The only attack which can hit you is the slash attack which doesn’t hit too hard. After one third of his health has been depleted he will put a shielded up. It’s now that the vampires shades spawn so focus on killing them as they don’t respawn. The Hollow Mans shield is being powered by blood bags so go around and destroy them. Once you do run right back up to the pillar and rinse & repeat the above. Once his health is fully depleted head down and stake him to end the fight. The achievement should pop shortly after.

In this guide we will show you how to eliminate the "Hollow Man" in Redfall to earn the "Radio Silence" Achievement.

"The Hollow Man" quest is the penultimate quest in the first Redfall map (Redfall Commons) and involves eliminating the "Hollow Man" the first main boss of the game.

To enter the lair of "Hollow Man" you will need three "Underboss Skulls", as well as a remnant, which you will need to place on an altar. To collect the "Underboss Skulls" you'll need to complete at least three Safehouse missions, meaning killing three mini bosses and collecting their skulls from their ashes.

After opening the door leading to the lair, walk north until you come across a large dollhouse. On the ground floor of the house, you can kill a Sin-Eater to watch a flashback that gives you more information about the lore and scenario of the game. Then climb the stairs to the third floor of the house, where you will meet the "Hollow Man".

The boss fight is divided into three phases. In the first stage you are required to dodge the boss's attacks and shoot him until he loses 1/3 of his hit points. In the second stage, the boss is protected by an energy shield, which is powered by 3-4 Bloodbags. At the same time, they spawn several Vampire Shades. Before you can hit the boss again, you need to take out the Vampire Shades and then the Bloodbags. It's worth noting that after killing the Vampire Shades you can wander around the room to collect supplies or to heal your wounds. Once you have eliminated all the enemies you can attack the Hollow Man again. Once the boss has lost another 1/3 of his hit points you will move on to the third and most difficult phase of the encounter.

Here you will first have to take out the Vampire Shades that spawn again, as well as the Bloodbags that provide energy to the boss's shield. After dropping the shield, you'll notice that the boss is protected by three smaller rotating shields, so to deal damage you'll need to shoot in the "gaps" between the shields. Once the boss has lost all its hit points, it will collapse in the middle of the room and all that's left is to drive a stake through its heart.

"Hollow Man" uses the same attack patterns in all three phases of the battle. The deadliest attack is similar to the one used by the Siphons, commonly the boss sucks your blood from a distance, so you should definitely break the line of sight. Run immediately or hide behind a pillar to avoid the attack. Also, if you shoot from the first floor of the room, keep in mind that the boss can charge at you. In this case run quickly to avoid the attack.
