How to unlock the Dominator achievement in Remnant: From the Ashes - Definitive Guide

This is just building upon my previous guide for the 5 bosses which gives a basic summary and small tutorial of Survival. I actually had this typed out before but when I submitted it, I got an error and it somehow got deleted so here's round two.

I highly recommend solo. Why?

-Enemies and bosses have less health and damage.
-Don't have to waste time deciding who gets what loot.
-No lag/delay. When you pick up an item, it takes up to 10-30 seconds for it to appear in your inventory. In solo, you get it immediately.
-Not sharing loot in Labyrinth vendors.
-Increasing consumables cost. If a co-op partner buys Golden Plum for 2,500, then the next person has to buy it for 3,000. This applies to all consumables. **Stealth patch appears to have changed this so everyone's cost is individual now.**
-No wasting time zoning between different areas.
-Aggro is always on you so you know every enemy is aiming for you which also increases your awareness.
-Friendly fire is activated. Accidental or not, it sucks to lose health especially during a boss fight that can be avoided by playing solo.
-Not sure if people have run into this problem but Dream Eater on co-op tends to crash the game resulting in an immediate fail for everyone.

TIPS:

-Dodging is essential to success. Even the most intimidating bosses such as Onslaught, Dream Eater, The Unclean One, and practically all melee bosses can be dodged easily by rolling forward/into them. For the first two listed, throw in at least two extra dodges to be safe because, after their initial lunge, they usually follow up with combos.

-Your level (blue bar) vs enemy level (red bar). A good rate of progress is 2-3 levels higher than the enemy level. By around boss 8, it became even for me at 18 and 18. At this point, don't stress. On my run when I beat 12 bosses, I noticed they didn't become extremely difficult until it was 20 and 24. Four level difference and even the regular enemies were almost one-shotting me.

-When given the chance, try to buy at least 3 consumables of Greenleaf, Oilskin Tonic, Heavy Water, Bandages. These particular status effects inflicted on you during the middle of a boss fight can mean the difference between success and failure. Equip these to your hotbar when you enter the area before the boss fight so you don't go digging around your inventory during the fight.

-I always bought (2) Golden Plums and (2) Mudtooth's Elixir. First Golden Plum was bought at round 3, first Mudtooth Elixir bought at round 4. Then the final two were bought when I had the money. If I didn't have money for these potions, then I would buy a Dragon Heart but prioritize these potions always. These buffs last an hour.

-With the buff that melee damage received this patch, don't be afraid to use it to save ammo or if you're in a tight spot with no ammo reloaded in both weapons. Every melee weapon can practically one-shot basic enemies.

-Kill EVERY enemy you see especially the Elite ones. The amount of experience points they give is nothing to scoff at.

-UPDATE: Kongo Dragon stated that he and his partner would restart Survival if Chicago Typewriter and Assault Rifle wasn't available from the start.

BOSSES:
*I will list the order of the bosses' difficulty from easiest to hardest, from top to bottom. UPDATE: Reordering boss list based by world for easier viewing.
I will also list what areas these bosses are in so when you reach the first area, you know what consumables to hotbar and what mods to change around to better prepare for the boss fight. If you've come across a boss not listed here, please let me know so I can update it.*
UPDATE: SSSteinMan has notified me that for every 3rd boss in survival, you will get a World Boss (denoted by WB) so on waves 3, 6, and 9, you'll get a World Boss.

MODS: (In no particular order as these are all very good mods)
Beckon - (Reward for killing Raze - very long duration, almost never dies and you can practically cast these infinitely with how fast you'll build mod power).
Explosive Shot - (Vendor - very powerful against bosses with adds that like to swarm you and against Splitter/Riphide as well)
Hunter's Mark - (Vendor - Helps in open and indoor dungeons especially with enemies that like to hide around corners).
Iron Sentinels - (Vendor - decent damage against adds but really shines as roadblocks. For example, if placed right on some bosses like Gorefist, you can keep him trapped and unable to move for a long time resulting in free damage).
Rattle Weed - (Reward for killing Shroud - very useful for early waves. Can hold aggro of all enemies including bosses for a time resulting in free uninterrupted healing or damage but loses efficiency as waves progress due to enemies hitting harder. Be sure to aim it correctly. The aggro capability has a limited range).
Rift Walker - (Reward for killing Dream Eater - useful to get a free heal in or to reposition yourself in a fight).
Swarm - (Reward for killing The Thrall - best overall damage mod in my opinion. It homes in on enemies, does very good damage and it's fire and forget. Only downside is you can't charge it while it's in use).
Veil of the Black Tear - (Reward for killing Shade and Shatter - extremely OP mod. If you can get this early, you can highly increase your success on almost every ranged boss in this DLC. It completely negates all ranged attacks except attacks such as Ixilis' hyper beam or Shroud's artillery attacks. Hope RNG is with you and you're able to get this early).
Wildfire Shot - (Reward for killing Scald and Sear - similar to Explosive Shot except it doesn't deal instant damage. It deals fire damage over time and immediately 3 stacks on the enemy. Good for when you don't have Explosive Shot).

HAND GUNS: (In order of preference from top to bottom)
SMG (vendor/drop)
Spitfire (Reward for killing Singe)
Magnum Revolver (vendor/drop)
Repeating Pistol (starting pistol)

LONG GUNS: (In order of preference from top to bottom)
Beam Rifle (vendor/drop)
Chicago Typewriter (vendor/drop)
Assault Gun (vendor/drop)
Coach Gun (vendor/drop)
*Particle Accelerator (Reward for killing Claviger - the mod on this weapon may be good for Splitter/Riphide but that's about it. I never really liked the primary fire on this gun).

ARMOR:
Radiant (Very good but also extremely reliant on Leto's Amulet to make it work well)
Cultist
Twisted
Osseus
Hunter
**My recommendation is one-piece each from Cultist, Twisted, and Osseus. You get health regen, increased mod power generation, and more damage. However, if you feel you're lacking damage, go full set Osseus if you want.**

RINGS/AMULETS:
Honestly, there's not much to say here except all the rings and amulets are good except for any rings that deal with melee. With the gear listed above, you can go summoner heavy, go defense with health regeneration or damage reduction, and/or go offense with increased ranged damage in terms of what rings and amulets to equip.

For the downvote(s), your mom's a hoe. laugh

As first I was a little confused by what you meant but I understand now. I didn't notice the pattern before. Thank you for pointing that out SSSteinMan. I'll add it to the guide.

Another tip worth noting is the importance of a strong start. I did this co op, and we would re-start immediately if the Chicago Typewriter and Assault Rifle were unavailable from the off. You can absolutely blast through the first 4 rounds with these weapons, building up a 4/5 level lead on the enemy. With RNG on your side regarding armour drops and some decent mods, it becomes quite trivial. We maintained a 2/3 level lead by round 10.

Might be a weird question, but how are you pacing yourself? Due to the timer I feel the need to rush and not explore much, but I know it's possible to find decent items off the path, as well as more enemies to kill for your level. Any advice?

This mode is really helpful even if you lose as you start to learn from your mistakes, if you can't seem to do it, Do not give up... you'll gradually start to be a lot better at the game as time goes by and eventually get your 10 straight boss kills.

Latest patch made this a bit more easier, at least first 10monster levels.

I highly recommend flicker cloak if you can get it. (From riphide, subway boss) It saved me in bossfights more than once.
I also went full shotgun, changed to hunting rifle if long range boss. Try richochet rifle, it really shines against groups, sucks on most bosses though so keep that in mind.

Its hard, keep training and you will nail it.

The breath of the desert mod that you get from scourge shouldnt be underestimated either. Summons 7 projectiles that home in and do about 75 radioactive dame a hit (so about 750 damage for the full barage) and it has 3 charges. Managed to solo it today. i can check my build later and post it here but i know i skipped daredevils charm for the brutal mark ( 30%more damage to enemies with < 50% health) and got empowering loop early. iron sentinels is clutch.Iif you are good at nailing weakpoints look for a hunting pistol if you can as you can hit up to 700hp worth of damage ( almost doubled if they were <50% health. hit a 2000 on Singe's heart). If you get Ixillies or Riphide early on then GG.

Good guide for soloing, thanks. Just want to add some tips from my runs

My build was heavy summoner, always aiming to boost armor effectiveness and mod damage. My best build was labyrinth head and chest, carapace legs, pistol with barb boss's quills mod, assault rifle with iron sentinel, twisted idol, ezlan's band and spirit stone.

1. If you have Subject 2923 installed, uninstall it. It adds nothing good for survival mode. The dungeons are longer, the items added are no good for survival and the bosses are harder (I thought).

2. Armor effectiveness is key. I tried to keep mine above 100 or so. First potion I got was Divine Nectar for the boosted armor effectiveness, made small hits here or there inconsequential and boss hits wouldn't take even 15% damage. Make sure you do not become Super Heavy though, you will lose your dodge. I preferred medium roll but heavy was doable. That's why I like Twisted Idol, boosted armor effectiveness and got encumbrance down to medium.

3. Potions went Divine Nectar then Golden Plum then Mudskin Tonic. Get them ASAP and just cycle as you can. I got one or two Dragon Hearts if I had time to spare on the potions.

4. I didn't focus on crates or anything, I rushed each level and only really explored in the dungeons between the beginning and the boss. Always had enough scraps and kept a 2-4 level spread. Enemy level was 15 when I got to boss 9 and I was 18. Focus on quicker paths and only take slightly longer ones if they have more enemies and/or loot.

5. Mod power is next most important. With iron sentinel you can set up and forget so you can focus on staying alive. The barbed terror's reward mod is also super OP with 2 labyrinth armor peices. I got him as my first boss and used it for the rest of the run. You get 3 charges and if you land all of them it does significant damage to the boss. Early bosses I could get 50% of health or more gone using the 3 charges immediately. Later bosses still took huge damage from it, like 5% damage per charge.

6. Iron Sentinel is the most important thing at the start, if it is there buy it no questions asked. Assault Rifle is next most important but can be exchanged with the chicago typewriter or beam rifle. If I didn't get either item at the start I would restart. Leto's armor, carapace set, twisted set (minus mask), radiant set, labyrinth set and drifter set are good armor pieces. Again, can't stress enough to keep your encumbrance under super heavy. If I didn't have any cash after buying Iron Sentinel and a long gun I would sell the adrenaline you start with and a single ammo box so I could buy a helmet.

7. If you can't get barbed terror for his mod, the beetles summon, wildfire mod and raze's mod reward are good supplements. Anything that calls good summons or does serious damage are helpful. I tried to keep a summon on my long gun and a high damage mod on my hand gun.

It's tough but keep going and you can get it!

-‐-------------------‐---------------‐---------------
Edit: using my above comment I killed 12 bosses. I was finally able to get the soul link ring on a good run and was able to kill 16 bosses. My build was labyrinth head and torso, cultist legs, repeater pistol with swarm mod, beam rifle with iron sentinal mod, gaelic charm/twisted idol (idol in dungeons, charm during boss fights), soul link ring (OP as fuck) and hunter's band.

Swarm with all the boosted weapon mod damage is incredibly OP, combined with the OP effect of soul link with iron sentinel and I was ripping through double digit bosses in 30 seconds flat. With this build, as long as you can keep iron sentinel going, you are practically invincible. I died to an unlucky barb at barbed terror because I couldn't keep enough sentinels going (enemy level 30, my level 24).

Little late to the party here, but I finally got this using this guide and comments. Final loadout was smg with iron sentinel, chicago typewriter with swarm, 1 piece cultist, 2 piece labyrinth, soul anchor necklace, burden of the follower and soul link.
Soul link imo is 100% needed for some of the later bosses. And if you wanna soeed thru using swarm as a set it and forget it and a heavy duty boss killer, BotF helps a ton with mod power. Thx for all the info here guys, it helped a lot

It's my understanding that there is no 'save and quit' in survival mode. Since this achievement has to be done in one sitting, about how long does it take to get all 10 bosses done?

I want to say it took me 2-3 hours, somewhere around there? And of course that's only for the successful run of the 10 straight bosses. So I'm not counting any of the time from the failures.

Just got this solo. Summons are really good for this but the ring Soul Link is almost a must. It converts damage the summon does to health restored. I ran Ricochet Rifle with Good Boy and Magnum with Iron Sentinel. Another key thing is to gear yourself correctly for the boss ahead. For example I got Eyeless and had a sniper with hotshot so I switched to that knowing I will destroy him easy instead of using my summons which would make it take longer. Also look for the XP ring and amulet. The can easily keep you ahead of the curve.

So far I hate Survival mode. The randomization was already something I disliked about the main game, so here something that's totally 100% based on RNG...

The fact that I can't even pause the game, or pause survival mode in progress to come back later just makes it even worse. Played what felt like an hour and a half, just to die at the second boss and all I get is 5 Glowing Shards...I like rougelites, not roguelikes, this is a roguelike mode, no permanent progression.

Next time I'm going to try to just keep restarting until I get a summon in the store, hopefully Iron Sentinel at the start.

Edit: Made some more headway as it were, the Ricochet Rifle is awesome for Survival I've found. I was doing really well I thought, got to Riphide as my 5th boss, and it spammed that giant shockwave attack 4-6 times in row and I died. That boss is BS. It wants me to dodge all those shockwaves really quickly, while it's also still attacking me with its other bodies at the same times. I'm still hating Survival mode, but at least I feel I'm understanding it a bit more.

Don't bother trying to go out of your way to find loot, just rush through killing everything. It really feels like levels are much, much more important than your gear in this mode.

@TheBigBB, it is possible solo. I got to 19 on my own, but you need luck with the loot and the bosses you get. Having Riptide as first boss is practically an automatic restart lol.

Okay I was able to get it tonight. I got to boss 10 solo and had it almost dead. Got to boss 10 again in co-op, and the game bugged out and killed me in the door transition. Got to 10 again next run with same partner, and we got it done. Learning helps a lot. Knowledge helps a lot. Luck helps a lot. In the runs I was failing, I was getting some awful bosses early. Thanks for the tips.

"like 3 attempts" - so how many attempts? roll The issue is that a successful run takes ~90 minutes, you can't pause, it's entirely RNG what you get, and if you make a mistake and wind up dead, you make no progress. Boss balance was not great, some are much worse to get early than others, and some are just tuned poorly. If you got it done quickly be glad and proud, don't mock others.

@Subzero323

I'm not entirely sure what it is you're asking but let me give it a try. Survival Mode is similar to a rogue-like. Your weapons and gear from the main game do not carry over into Survival. You always start at level 1, gear is randomized as well as dungeon layouts. So to answer your question, you can start this at any time however, I would recommend going through the entire campaign first as knowing how to deal with each boss and their respective worlds will make this achievement much more obtainable. Also, if you have the DLC, uninstall it before attempting this achievement. The DLC bosses I'm told are a bit harder and time wasters as well.

Eat my words. It was my build.

I ended up using 2x Golden Plum, 2x Mudtooth Elixir and one each of Houndmasters Jerkey and Divine Nectar. Be advised that if you have the dlc uninstalled (which you should as Reisum bosses are OP) the game will let you buy but not use Icefruit - found this out the hard way.

I used Assault Rifle with Hotshot for entire run plus Repeater Pistol with Explosive Shot once I got it and then with Iron Sentinel, which I finally saw for the first time in over a dozen runs, once getting that.

I had Leto Chest, Labyrinth Helmet, Twisted Trousers (though tbh could probably have dropped the latter for Osseus with other passive healing). I had twisted idol, blood font, ring of balance.

My DPS was great relative to enemy health up until perhaps the last 2 boss runs. I went into boss 10 at level 19 with enemy level 19. Key is getting lucky early with drops/vendor and rushing the levels, don't be afraid to deviate slightly if you see loot, but don't let it hold you back. Also, abuse all the buff items as and when available and I would suggest buying at least 2, probably 3 extra dragon hearts.

My last boss was Barbed Terror (*ugh*) who almost wiped me. Keep persevering and with luck and experience you'll get it 👍

@FFX Brotherhood,

Basically, that's what I notice is that people are rushing too quick and ignoring many items and this results in having less scraps to buy better gear and consumables. With that said, if a path splits into two, it usually leads to the same place so if you go down one path, don't bother going down the other.

Killing enemies is ALWAYS a priority because you need the experience as it becomes harder (requires more exp) to level up the more you progress.

As you start to play more, you'll quickly realize if a single building is worth exploring vs time spent heading towards the boss.

Trait tomes I usually always go for regardless of how much of a detour it is because if you get lucky and get all the gear you want in the first few waves, the only way you become stronger is through leveling up and trait tomes.

Starting off, I would recommend exploring every nook and cranny but as you become more geared out with the equipment you want, then you can explore less but should still always focus on killing enemies. For example, if you have a crappy long gun, I would definitely recommend checking every area so you'll have at least one of the ones I mentioned in the guide or you can restart Survival over and over until you get good items in the Labyrinth vendors and have a strong start that way.

Keeping your level higher than the enemy level really is the best indicator on whether you should speed up or slow down. Keep in mind killing a boss will deduct about 1.5 minutes but at the same time will give a dramatic boost in experience too.

I hope that helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help.

Incredibly irritating achievement given the RNG and awful boss design (reliant on spamming adds at you - ahem Gorefist, Mangler, Warden, Shroud etc. etc. ). I have had best success with an AR build with explosive shot (I find AR much more consistent than Typewriter and Repeater Pistol/Machine Pistol much better than SMG), 1x labyrinth armour, 1x Osseus/Hunter, and 1x Twisted along with Pocket Watch, the ring that gives passive healing, and a ranged damage ring has given me best results.

Personally, I saw little point in using the Divine Nectar, maybe it was just my build but the extra damage mitigation was minimal to the point of being worthless for the scrap outlay - just stick to Mudtooth Elixir and Golden Plum.

The best advice I've seen is the stuff saying to save time. I feel a lot of the comments are ambiguous on how much to loot or seem to suggest thorough searching - don't. You may end up with a great build but when you get to boss 8 and the enemies are already 3 levels higher, it won't mean much.

P. S. I have never seen Iron Sentinels in maybe 12-15 runs. Has it been removed?

I’m not sure if the crashing is related to co-op, but every time I’ve played with a friend at higher levels it’s crashed between bosses 6-8. So, I just wound up doing it solo instead and got it finally. I’m almost 100% sure that the difficulty is scaled to the amount of players in the game, so if you do attempt this co-op I’d recommend having a partner that’s just as good if not better than you at this game.

I’m trying to help my buddy out now I’ll get the achievement, but he keeps on dying on almost every boss fight even though I’ve tried to explain to him the mechanisms of each and every boss fight and what to do. It just becomes increasingly harder to stay alive during boss fights in the later stages if your partner is going down all the time. Asides from that, I still remember a run we had where I bought a chest piece from the vendor and we went through three bosses in a row without picking up any chest pieces or having a piece spawn for him in the vendor. That goes for rings as well. For some reason whenever I bought the soul link ring it wouldn’t show up in the vendor for him, but then other rings, amulets, mods, or weapons that either of us bought would show up later on for the person who didn’t initially buy the item.

Just the RNG as far as gear and bosses is absolutely horrible and doesn’t give you enough Scrap or items initially to give you the build that you need to stay alive, especially for multiple players. I find myself all too often selling two ammo boxes, and adrenaline along with other items that they give you in the beginning just to get some decent gear because I never know if I’ll ever see those pieces of gear again. I honestly don’t know how the game expects you to beat barbed terror as the first boss (we got him 4 times in a row the other night at levels 1-2) with the dog as your only weapon mod option for both players, and no long guns asides from the shotgun and coach gun in co-op. Then, when you actually get a good build going, the game crashes on you in co-op. For all of those reasons, that’s why I just did the achievement solo but will keep trying with my friend to see what will work eventually.

There are already really good guides, so I will just add my experience with the survival mode and a build that will make you unkillable once you get going.

I tried to complete this achievement on PS4 for quite a while and got kinda frustrated, but as it turns out, a proper build can make all the difference in the world.

First of all: Group size. I have seen a lot of people saying it's the easiest to beat it alone, but I have to disagree there. If you have a good teammate, it's the easiest to do it as a group of 2, I would personally not recommend doing it as a group of 3 due to the scaling.

When you start your run, you should get one of these weapons: assault rifle, chicago typewriter, beam rifle or the ricochet. If you don't get either of these, don't bother and reload the mode. These are by far the best weapons to use for this achievement.

There are 2 ways to play this mode: Explore and loot everything or "rush" through it. I recommend playing more of a rush style and only breaking crates/picking up items you see on your way, to keep 3-4 levels ahead of the difficulty curve. Every 3rd boss will be a world-boss. You will definitely want to approach the 9th boss before the enemy levels hit 15 (nightmare difficulty), in my case the 9th boss was Ixillis both times and it can end your run faster than you think.

The final build you want to aim for is:

- Primary Weapon: Ricochet

- Secondary Weapon: Any you personally like, I would recommend the submachine gun or the repeater pistol

- Amulet: Galenic charm (+30% weapon mod damage)

- Ring 1: Soul Link (Summons steal 5% of the damage dealt and return it to the wearer as health)

- Ring 2: Soul Anchor (Increase duration of the summons)

- Weapon mod 1: Seed caller (Summon a root hollow, maximum of 2)

- Weapon mod 2: Iron sentinel (Summon a full automatic turret, maximum of 2)

Other viable mods are: Swarm, Hunter's mark, Blink token (for riphide), Beckon and Seeker is good for the beginning.

For the armor you should look for a regrowth piece early on, to save up your hearts for the bosses. Towards the end, you should aim for a mix of the "power surge" pieces (increase weapon mod damage), the "cultist" pieces (generate more mod power) and the "leto" pieces (high armor).

After the 3rd boss I would recommend buying either a golden plum (bonus health regen for the next 60 minutes) or a mudtooth's tonic (increases your maximum health for 60 minutes), depending on how you do of course. These items along with the divine nectar and the houndmaster's jerky are essential for your success in this mode.

Once you get this build (or something similiar) going, you will be unkillable:

- Seed caller will keep the enemy aggro off you

- All 4 summons will simultaneously heal you

- Ricochet will automatically kill the minions while you shoot the boss

- You will charge up mod power so fast, you can always keep up all 4 summons

I cannot stress enough how underrated the ricochet is in survival, however, you will definitely want to keep an assault rifle, a chicago typewriter or a beam rifle ready, along with the rattleseed mod, in case you run into Ixillis. Don't attempt to kill Ixillis with the ricochet.

This will make the survival run quite easy, I had massive problems in my previous runs, but we didn't get knocked out a single time with this build during the entire run. (Well I died once because I jumped off a literally 3 metres high ledge, seriously what is that physic...)

Some general tips:

- If you have a "cultist" armor piece, you can wait at the base for your mods to charge up, before you enter a world

- If you run into ravager do the bell puzzle (I think the correct order was 5-1-5-1-2-3-4-1 or something like that) and shoot at it from a distance, it should be stuck in the floor

- Positioning and movement is the key to some bosses, if you are unfamiliar with a fight, look up the boss fight on apocalypse difficulty on youtube

- If you run into Barbed Terror you can stay right where you enter the room and most of the time, Barbed Terror will not shoot his spikes

- When you take a hit during a boss fight and there is room for it, heal up immediately, even if you are only missing 30% or 40% of your health. Bosses can dish out unexpectedly high damage during the later parts of your survival run. This is also why mudtooth's tonic is so important

- If you die completely and your teammate kills the boss, it will still count as a kill for you and I think you will also get the experience

- Don't underestimate how much money you can get from destroying crates

Edit as of October 2021: As it was mentioned in the comments, you should uninstall the "subject 2923" dlc, as this makes the achievement much harder.

I took inspiration from this console run on youtube, check it out:

Good luck and keep grinding, practice is key.

Best guide by far.

Key takeaways from our successful run utilising it:

- Have someone running the Richochet/Summon build. Re-roll so this person starts with at least the gun (if not additional pieces).
-Do it with one other person, but not two. Better for loot, traits, and scaling.
-You need luck with bosses (Barbed Terror wiped us every time), but persistence is everything.
-Uninstall Subject 2xxx DLC so as to avoid needlessly hard bosses and overly large overworlds and dungeons.

so FYI. I am not a sure if typo or an update changed it but the Ring 2 Soul Anchor is an amulet not a ring so can not use it with the gaelic charm. I think Spirit Stone might be an alternate for moving the soul anchor into the amulet slot.

Also, Subject 2923 DLC.... Has some BS bosses and areas IMO. And has some extra traits that will appear in Survival that are not really worth anything to this build but take away from getting higher versions of things like kingslayer/evocation/etc. None of the gear is needed as well so I recommend uninstalling Subject 2923 so you don't have so deal with their bosses, loot pickups, or traits.

I have been running this with my group and should have had it today but had a out of memory warning crash my game on the final run we had near perfect builds. 3 people just seems way harder with the scaling and splitting of items. Even being 3 levels ahead we never got past the 4th boss. As 2 people we got to 9th boss before first wipe and then had the crash on the 8th dungeon.

I would like to add a couple of overall tips to enhance the guide from SyncTheTempest.

I got my 10 bosses done with a full party of 3 players, there are many advantages to this:

1. The comradery: playing alone feels lonely, playing with 2 other dudes cracking jokes, preparing strats, celebrating the death of a particular f-ing difficult boss and the excitement of "just one more boss!" is great.

2. Role assignment: having a party of 3 can reduce the amount of time you spend in the dungeons, 1 player can be assigned into scrap collection, and 1 or 2 can be assigned to add rush, splitting up can lead into better dungeon clearing, my party for example was always 3 levels above the enemy and we were banking at least 4-5k per dungeon in scrap, after the 5th boss we had full armor builds so we just rush the adds for xp then the boss, cutting the time bar significantly, at one point we were a full 5 levels above.

3. Having someone to get you up: sometimes you will take a hit and you think you can tank it but no, you´ll drop like a sack of potatoes. Well that's were your buddy can get you up, though with this game being like it is your ressing up is not always guaranteed.

4. Risky but effective charm: The Daredevil´s Charm is seriously OP, having a 90% DMG bonus to your weapons is incredible, obviously you will be naked, but when you can out-damage any ads using the revolver or the typewriter you wont need the armor, having 1 teammate with the charm with either a Leto's piece or scrapper piece will bring your overall DPS to great amount, just make sure you give him/her the shadow ring for a 40% less enemy awareness or someone equip the aggressor band for the aggro.

5. Good builds to make: Daredevil´s charm high risk high reward DPS, full Leto's with hero ring will ensure fast revivals, full Twisted set with blood ring for regen and mender's aura, full voids or full osseous with assault rifle with hotshot or swarm for DPS, 2 piece labyrinth 1 piece cultist with sentry turrets or beckon with soul charm will add aggro taking summons that deal decent damage and increase yours and 3 piece elders for extra DMG whilst using a Dragon Heart.

6. On the consumables shop once you have the extras scrap buy the 1 hour consumables like the nectar, these will increase the stats (extra 50 hp, 50 stamina, hp regen, extra armor, ect.) on your character and will be invaluable for later encounters.

And finally, hope for early swamp bosses, the Barbed Death is easier on the first 2 boss counts, the time we fought him he did not summoned the quills even though he made his hand gestures, but the nightmare boss was still a pain, but can be downed if he spawn in the early 2 bosses with relative ease.

Do not underestimate the helpfulness of Mudtooth's Tonics, Houndmaster's Jerky, Divine Nectars and Golden Plums sold at the consumable kiosk. They are expensive, but they all last 1 hour and give you additional health, additional crit damage, additional armor effectiveness and slow health regen, respectfully.

Using these can help give you the edge you need if you're still falling a bit short.

@Wylaf Beulbe - Thank for adding that.

I also remembered that the Sage Ring, which gives you extra XP, is also a great way to keep ahead of the difficulty curve.

Did this with a party of three. The Needle Lair boss is horrendous so we just wiped if he came up. Otherwise we got the hive boss and breath of the desert as our first boss which made wiping the rest super easy. I focused on mods, friend focused on hunting rifle/crit damage, and we had a third we didn’t even talk to just doing his own thing holding it down. Good luck to all!

We did this as a three too. Needle lair boss wiped us at Boss 11 thankfully. My main input to this is to not get too disheartened on runs that fail as the best way to get this is good RNG on the bosses you're against. We also restarted our runs if there wasn't at least one good item at the start.

Here is my video guide:

This strategy is meant for co-op and ideally meant for 3 players but works fine with 2.

NOTES

You're main focus is getting Beam Rifle, Iron Sentinel and level 20 invoker for all players. With that, your team should be fine with keeping a distance from any boss and allowing the sentinels to do the heavy lifting. Usually, only 1 player will be targeted by a boss so the other 1-2 players can focus fire. Be sure to always clear out other enemies so the turrets stay focused on the boss. If you have equipment that boosts experience, use it!

Also be to keep at least 1 consumable to cures or boosts resistance to status ailments as you never know which boss you'll get next.

The best stages to gain scrap are those on Corsus. Destroy all barrels, boxes and enemies and you should get at between 6,000-9,000 scrap. This is extremely helpful for buying traits and consumables.

For The Ravager boss - I stumbled across that glitch by accident. To my knowledge, it's not common knowledge. But every time I shot him from that position with hunting pistol, he is glitched into the ground.

If you're struggling with Boss fight strategies, check this video out:

For those who will go through the survival mode in which you need to kill 10 bosses without dying alone or with friends.
I don’t recommend playing 3, the bosses and mobs will be too tough, it’s best to play solo or with two people.
Weapons must be an Automatic or Ricochet Crossbow, the crossbow has a special feature, it kills trash very well with its ricochet arrows, but an assault rifle has better firepower on one target, put Fire Bullets on the modules for the main weapon, it is advisable to find an SMG and a module with turrets in the second slot , or summoning goblins or skulls.
From armor, use armor to increase damage to vulnerable spots and heal abilities.
It is advisable to use rings if you come across them to increase experience and damage to vulnerable spots or increase crit. From amulets to increase experience, rate of fire or armor. Be sure to buy tonics for 2500 after 4.5 Boss to increase life, crit, regen, and armor. It is advisable to have 6-7 hearts.
Of the locations in the swamp, I recommend exploring everything, especially in the caves, there are a lot of chests and elite enemies, you can level up well and find a lot of money. The most important thing is not to get caught by the Bosses, two butterflies, they appeared twice on me, 9 in a row, it’s very difficult to kill them alone, and the Queen from the add-on, it’s almost impossible to kill her without a stone.
In general, I won’t say that the mode is very difficult; randomness plays a very important role here. It took me about 15 hours to complete this mode, after trying 15 I was probably able to complete it, perhaps with the latest addition I can make this trophy even easier now.

I don’t agree with the friend above: the easiest way to take the trophy is with three people - the bosses will be fatter, but you disperse the attention of the boss and the mobs, it’s easier to heal and resurrect each other, when playing alone / together the mobs will be pinned in the corner and the khan
You don’t have to be the host for the trophy: join an existing survival as a third player - you don’t have to wait for them to come in, and the host is unlikely to shower in the process
Knocked out the trophy, as he stopped rushing forward, and played carefully and a little behind and support: kill mobs on bosses, heal and resurrect teammates; It would be a good idea to buy a ring and upgrade the perk to increase the resurrection speed, otherwise it will take a long time and the boss and mobs may overwhelm you while you resurrect.

In general, the mode may seem difficult at first, but after playing everything turns out to be easier.
Key items are a turret, a ring for HP regen from minion damage, and a disc cutter. For some bosses, it would be nice to have an assault rifle or a Thompson in addition to the disk cutter. Everything else is optional; it’s easier to play if you wear HP armor. Be sure to buy an elixir for 2500 for 50 HP and closer to 10 bosses, preferably for 25% armor. We also remove dls 2933 first.
We put the turrets in the Topmson disc assault rifle. In the slot for the pistol there are turtle dolls. Turrets with a ring constantly keep full HP, a lot of HP allows you to get hit in the face by bosses. Before the race, it would be good to watch videos of the passage of this mode, in particular bosses, and remember approximately how to beat. Well, a little bit of randomness so that you don’t come across difficult bosses and the necessary items appear quickly.
According to the set, it’s good if there is labyrinth armor, but not critical.
In terms of locations, you don’t need to go through everything thoroughly; as soon as you’ve assembled the core build, speedrun to the bosses: the difficulty will be easier and you’ll finish it faster.

I’ll add my two cents, but with the nuances that I encountered myself. First I will describe things, and then a few words on tactics. As they said earlier, one person dresses in modifications, the other in survivability:
1 person, labyrinth armor, at worst cultist armor in addition to the labyrinth. It depends on what modifications you use and what rings you got, it takes time - you use a cultist, more damage means a labyrinth.
Amulets and rings: I got - Anchor of Souls (modification duration +100, damage for each creature), Soul Link (healing for damage from creatures), Spirit Stone (damage and recovery speed of the modification). It is also worth paying attention to the amulet that increases the damage from the modification by 25 (I think it’s called Gallen’s amulet, but I don’t remember), the Black Rose amulet, which will allow you to use 2 things as 3, then you can combine a cultist and a labyrinth. You can also use a ring that will heal your teammate, that is, the creatures heal you, and you heal your teammate.
Modifications: 1) Turrets are strictly required, universal on all bosses, flying and disappearing + the most stable healing; 2) The dog is good on mobs, but is often useless on bosses, constantly gets stuck somewhere or is killed by large bosses (Ent and Dragon), and cannot damage flying or hard-to-reach bosses; 3) the skulls are not bad, but they need to be caught; 4) beetles and koloboks, the same as a dog, only worse, but in the early stages you don’t have to choose, so I would recommend a modification for damage or a weapon with a built-in modifier.
Weapons: any rapid-fire weapon, assault rifle or Thompson, during the playthrough I knocked out an MOP and used it, very high damage.

This set is suitable for both solo and team. Teammates dress for survivability.

Take your time in the first two levels, try to search the area as much as possible, look for scrap and clothes, agree with a friend what you need and mark the appropriate things. Try to take 4000+ scrap from the level. After the 2nd boss, you must be equipped and with a weapon to prevent accidental death at level 3. If there are few set items, it’s okay, you’ll just get the rest over time, but they may not drop out as randomly indicates. Starting from the third level, try to run through locations to the Boss, loot only along the way, it is advisable that the ratio of your level and the level of mobs is 2+ in your favor, since closer to the 10th boss some mobs become very stuffy. I won’t describe the bosses, but you should know that you can die on any boss due to stupid mistakes, so you need to be careful. The main tactic is to place turrets and use the second modification for damage. Control the attacks of the enemy and mobs while you charge modifications.

The main thing is the randomness of bosses. I played for a week, learned my skills, got to know the bosses. 6 bosses killed the random party, then he left. I couldn't have done it without the summoned creatures. who has winter installed, the latest dlc can be deleted, I deleted the game and installed it without 2923
my build. Instead of a pistol you need a submachine gun.

Current builds for today, we completed the 2nd without any problems.
1) Collects the “Armor of the Labyrinth” set, which increases the damage of minions, upgrade your talents accordingly and collect the necessary tomes. And puts on a ring that regenerates HP from the damage of minions. The minions include a turret and a dog. HP will be almost infinite and hearts are not needed.
2) Collects either the entire “Letto” armor and pumps everything in for a quick resurrection. Buys hearts to the maximum. Or just the summer helmet and the armor and boots of the “Radiant”. Well, that's all for defense. Modifiers: Song of Swords and Hunter's Mark.
Thompson guns, pp, beam rifle, automatic pistol, assault rifle.
With this kit, we beat 12 bosses on easy difficulty and 8 bosses on high difficulty.

I passed with the following set (I don’t remember the names):
-Disc cutter (it had a mod with fireflies on it - when activated, it released 5 fireflies, which deal damage over 10 seconds)
- Starting pistol, then installed an automatic pistol (not a machine gun/Uzi) (there was a mod for summoning a dog that runs and deals damage to everyone in miles, it is useless against flying ones) / there is also a search pistol for 1,250. I don’t remember the name. He's like a green blaster. It has a mod with healing fireflies. When activated, they fly into the target and drain HP from enemies. Then they bring HP to the owner. There are two charges. Fires three projectiles in normal mode. Bursting with corrosion. The clip is about 16-18. Often caught at the start. With one pistol I got to 2-3 bosses without any problems.
There was vinaigrette in the armor.
-Hat with a mod for regen mods on weapons
-Armor with a mod to increase damage when you shoot at one target
-Pants with protection mod. After 15 seconds, if you do not receive damage, it applies a buff that protects against damage impressively. After the first damage, the buff disappears and you have to wait 15 seconds again.
-Pendant to increase damage.
-1 ring: used a ring that gives 20% more experience, before the boss I exchanged it for a cat ring (when receiving fatal damage, the player does not die, but remains with 1 HP and speed increases, ring recovery 2 minutes)
-2 ring for health regen, 0.5 every second.

If you are a desperate and self-confident player, then you can immediately start a new game with the survival mode, because while completing this mode you can earn rewards for the story campaign. For example, the “Talisman of Perseverance” item will allow you to gain additional experience and develop talents faster, and the “Black Rose” item will give you a full armor bonus for just 2 units. from the kit. In survival mode, you can farm “flickering shards”, which are needed for the trophy “The latest craze” : buy 40 armor looks. On “normal” difficulty, killing a heavy mob can randomly give 3 units. "glimmering shards" Killing a boss always gives 3 units. "flickering fragments"
Survival mode will be much easier to complete if you install the main game and only the Swamps of Corsus DLC. There is no need to install the “Subject 2923” DLC because it makes survival mode more difficult with new loot progression and new difficult bosses! Without the Subject 2923 DLC, the host player will only generate survival mode from the main locations of the game! Such a player-host can easily create an open game in survival mode for random people or a closed game for friends, even if someone has all the DLC installed. I repeat once again, playing survival mode for the sake of getting trophies is much easier and faster without “Subject 2923”! It's better to delete the game once and download it again.
