THIS ACHIEVEMENT HAS BEEN PATCHED ONLY FOR NEW PLAYERS ENTIRELY MEANING IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE A CHARACTER AND UPGRADED IT BEFORE THE PATCH THE ACHIEVEMENT IS UNOBTAINABLE EVEN IF YOU MAKE A NEW CHARACTER AND UPGRADE THEIRS
--->Apparently making a new character wont fix this so if you have already started the game you are screwed and this is still UNOBTAINABLE however if you are new and have just started you should be able to get it

8/30/2019 EDIT: It seems that they have fixed this achievement and the scrap achievements for the most part but seems others are still having issues, Mine as well as others got it to pop just by signing into out players.

To get this achievement you need to acquire an item called a simulacrum that are randomly across your world on the floor as all worlds are randomly generated. However in your first play through you should find around 3 or 4 of them if your looking around good enough.

You also need 10 lumenite crystals which are obtained by killing any big enemy who has a bigger health bar, they should drop pretty often but not always.

Once you have 1 simulacrum and 10 lumenite crystals, return to ward 13. You need to give the materials too the tree lady you must save in the campaign who will now look like a hunchback she is located in the same room south of reggie the guy who gave you the dragon heart. now just talk to her a few times and she will upgrade your dragon heart.

i dont believe soo i have enough material to max it out right now so im sure by now other people have too so it shouldn't still be at 0 people at this point i would think. but yeah i guess theres a chance that nobody else but me can max it out right now

Game technically launches tomorrow so I wonder if they'll have a patch come out with launch to fix some of these achievement issues.

3 other achievements are worded incorrectly so it wouldn't surprise me if you have to fully upgrade it.

Like A Boss actually requires you to craft 5 boss weapons not upgrade one to +5
Scrap Harvester/Collector are actually collect 1 million/2 million not 100k/200k.

I think this only triggers on the VERY FIRST upgrade you do. Where you go from 3 to 4 hearts. And it must be in your own game.

Same.. Seems to ONLY work for completely new players that hasn't done any upgrade on any previous characters.

Ok, so I can confirm, at the very least, if you had started the game, but never upgraded the Dragon Heart at all, this achievement will pop. Did this as host, can't say if a guest would get it.

Found a guaranteed way for it to work well long story short my main character save corrupted and I just deleted the save from everywhere and reinstalled the game just got the achievement on a new character in that order wish I didn’t have to lose my 40 hour character but this solution works 100 percent

ok sweet i probably wont do that until i know they are done releasing dlc and i get all the other achievements done because id rather not delete an account that has been through the campaign 4 times already.

Came home from work and got to test it and it didn’t popped for me, so I have no idea what is preventing it from popping because my friends definitely had gotten it without deleting their save game

Today got another 6.88g update, when I was in the base when login from main menu, I finally got the dragon heart upgrade cheevo and also 100000 scrap cheevo.

I just logged in with my main character, which has been through the game more than once, and my dragon heart and 100k scrap popped. No dreamer achievement retroactively, but it looks like I am close to unlocking 200k scrap achievement as well. They must have fixed those as well.

Okay, forget everything I’ve said, I logged in to my account today and saw that I’ve had three new achievements unlocked, and all the ones that weren’t unlocked are now. It just didn’t display the message when I got them.

STOUTASSASSIN67, is it possible you have to fully upgrade the Dragon Heart for this, and you just haven't maxxed it out yet? I haven't played the game yet so I'm talking out of my as a bit, but I'm wondering if there's a chance this isn't glitched.

I recommend saving a simulacrum for in case they fix this achievement and they don't count the other times you already upgraded it

I just got this achievement a few minutes ago: What I did was first removed the save data from the console ONLY, DO NOT REMOVE FROM EVERYWHERE, next I went to my network settings and went offline so the Xbox doesn't sync my save data, then I started Remnant offline then I just played with a new character till I saved the root mother, aquired 10 lumenite shards, and 1 simulacrum then I upgraded the heart,then I quit to main menu,then exit game and went back online. I started the game and when it asked wich save data to use I used the older one. A few seconds after that it popped. I hope this helps.

So I’ve deleted my whole save and started again and it didn’t popped this time either and now really strange stuff started happening, I’ve killed the Ent and didn’t got the achievement and my counter for special enemies also isn’t going up when I kill them. But the counter for 5 weapon mods did indeed went up when I got new ones... I don’t know what is happening here... I would totally recommend to not remove your save file because it could prevent you from getting other achievements... apparently

So I've just spoken to a friend who's played the game through already and the Achievement poppt for him as he logged in without the need of a new save.
The same happend to a friend of him, so I don't know whats going on here but I would suggest logging in with your character first to check if the Achievement Pops up.
Im at work Right now so I'm going to update this when I come home and can check for myself.

Achievement was fixed in today's patch. If you've already upgraded the heart, it should unlock as soon as you load in to the game after downloading the patch.

You will receive the dragon heart after helping the root mother (story related, so cannot be missed), and she goes back to the main hub area. To upgrade the heart, you need the following:

- 10 Lumenite Crystal, which can be obtained from special enemies, which you can identify by them being larger than normal

- 1 Simulacrum. This is harder to find, as they only occur once per world and can be hard to spot. If you do not spot any on a different world (unknown if they occur on Earth, most likely not), you can re roll the campaign to get another chance to spawn one, although this is ill advised and you would have to go through the game until you reach another world. They are similar looking to Lumenite Crystals, except larger and are yellow with a blue glow.

The Dragon Heart is this games main healing item and you will start off with three of them once you are given them early on in the game by Reggie. To upgrade you will first need to find 'The Root Mother' who is an NPC that you find during the story on Earth and is a mandatory NPC that you cannot miss. Once she is found she will go to Ward 13 and become a merchant that allows you to upgrade your Dragon Heart.

To upgrade the Dragon Heart you will need to find a 'Simulacrum', which is a very rare upgrade material, used for upgrading your Dragon Heart as well as the final upgrade for weapons and armor. There are said to be only one of these upgrade materials in each world, with 4 worlds that means there are only 4 per playthrough. Once you find one of these, return it to The Root Mother and along with 10 Lumenite Crystals pay her to upgrade your Dragon Heart.

Each upgrade will give you +1 to the amount of uses you have with the Dragon Heart up to a maximum of 10. However I would recommend not using your Simulacrums immediately for this purpose as you will need one for the "Push It to the Limit" achievement.
